There is a local cat who sometimes prowls through the garden outside but we don't see him/her often. And as for wildcats, they are all up on the Highlands so there are none near here. I don't see wildcats in the wild, sadly. There's a group called Leopards Etc. that keep some and bring them to shows around the bay area. There aren't any groups like that in Scotland since the wildcats are so rare and need to be kept in the wild. At least, I haven't heard of any.

Stray cats and dogs are rife in Malaysia. You see them almost anywhere, and its sad because they're a common target of abuse by drunks. *sighs* Just like in Ukraine. Most strays here in the UK are taken in by charities but in Ukraine, they run wild and I wouldn't be surprised if people abused them. It's terrible.

Though none of the cats are actually from the wild. They're all from zoos and other organizations.

Nothing, oddly enough. It got sticker, and a little crust formed, but that was about it. And the NTWF has returned to loading at the speed of molasses. Maybe the bubble stuff kept it from freezing, or something like that. Evil. Whatever's making it load slowly is evil. Quite possibly, since the domestic freezer isn't much good for freezing things that have a lower freezing point than water. It's annoying when I'm trying to post something, cause then I don't know if the post went through or not, and I don't want to retry at risk of double posting the same post.

Well, I guess the governments don't have the money to do anything about it, really. When you're a developing country, stray animals are low on your list of concerns.

The first priority of any government should be the people and only then can the problems of the animals be addressed. A sad fact but I can see the reasons behind it.

The best place to see an animal is in it's natural habitat but if the animal lives far away, a zoo has to do. But I agree, if you see a lot of animals around your home, why travel somewhere to see them? Though I wouldn't mind going to the forest nearby to maybe see if there are deer there.

I always wanted to take in a stray and give it a home, but my mum wasn't keen on the idea. xD ..mostly because enough animals come into the house without invitation as it is. Like a monitor lizard that came in and left a piddle puddle. Now I know that monitor lizard pee is clear, sticky, and odourless.

Dry ice isn't so bad, it's readily available, but isn't as cold as liquid nitrogen.

And pretty. And I get to see them fairly often. What would be completely epic to see in the wild would be a cougar. That'd make me be all gleeful. Not that it's that likely to happen.
