Swampert? n00b! *sends out Mudkip* Mudkip can wait, n00b. >_> I was better at the TCG than at the GameBoy games--I mostly made teams of favorites. But Swampert pwns because it evolves from MUDKIPZ! >O Swampert, ATTACK NOW!

Yeah, it is annoying. D: It's turning okay, just not what I wanted to. The beginning, I had it so great and then it just turned out like this:
He was crying when she saw him.
His purple fur was mussed, and his thin cotton cloak blew in the wind. His back was turned to her; his figure was gaunt. When she tapped him on the shoulder, he nearly jumped a foot in the air.
When he looked back and saw her, he smiled. His face was narrow and crooked, a ghost of what it used to be. Quietly, he said to her, “I’ve missed you, Liza.”
She said back to him, “I’ve missed you, too.”
It was the truth. He was her brother, after all. She’d left him by her own volition, but it was not out of want, but need. The white Eyrie called Liza had thought of him every day since then, thought about his voice and his laugh and his brilliant smile. Back then, she hadn’t wanted to get involved in his politics, his war. But she still loved him, more than he would ever imagine.

I tend to get great ideas for complete stories and then get stuck for ages on the first sentence. >> Argh, I think that happened to me once. I had a story idea (perhaps not the greatest story idea, but whatever. ) that I could never figure out how to start. It happens to me nearly every time I sit down to start a story, so now I start planning the first sentence in my head before I think of beginning to write, because I know I'll never get anywhere otherwise. Once I have a first sentence, I bang out the rest fairly easily. I should try editing sometime. >>

I usually don't have too much trouble with the beginning, though. What I usually have trouble is the parts in the middle. >_> See, PFA usually thinks up her stories in chunks of 'what is a big event that should happen in the story? ' ...so she usually has trouble figuring out what to stick inbetween those chunks.

I like to stick in description and random dialogue between characters. *nod* And if it progresses the story, so much the better. I've had the problem of not knowing what to put in the middle too, though. Sometimes I'll write out an outline for a great beginning and a great ending and then stick in the middle as a placeholder, "lots of adventures"... it happens way too often. >>

Random dialogue, maybe a side-story or two, and sometimes running jokes. *pokes her NT series, Dark Friend* Ho boy, do I have quite a few stories with just a beginning and an end. I tend to fill in the 'lots of adventures' with random stuff I think of on a whim.

Question: Would anyone here mind proofreading my NT Story once I finish? x3 I'm kind of worried about it. xD If so, I will PM it to you and give you a reward in the form of SHINY COOKIES. <3<3<3 Don't worry, it won't be long-- it's just a short story.

XP Like the ten-part series that I have the outline for, six parts of which are finished and in first draft form, but which I'm planning to rewrite practically from scratch... *needs to get in NT gear again*
