[/glow] So, your parents understood the reason for sugar-high Rider yet? [glow=red,2,300]Aye. it went something like this. (My parents were in Boston for the day, for my mum's birthday.) My sister: *looks at the pile of mail on the table* Jen, you got something from Chester! Rider: *is still using crutches due to ankle problems* *spazzes and nearly breaks her other foot in her haste to get to the mail* *tears the envelope open like a 5-year-old at Christmas* Rider's brother and sister: *stand behind her and wonder how long before she rips one of the papers in the envelope by accident* I read the scholarship paper first, since it looked identical tot he acceptance letter. After that, it was apparent that I got in. Then I called my parents. They said they're a few minutes away and coming home directly. ^_^ The door opens. I hobble over. it's my sister's boyfriend. I try nto to look too disappointed as I tell her that he's here. Then, my parents come home and hugs, etc. My brother does a pretty accurate reenactment of my haste to get to the mail. Then the little pain in the butt tells me that he got the mail at 3:00. (It's currently around 7.) It's just that nobody told me 'til now. I'm too happy to strangle him right now, though. ^_^ That can wait 'tilt he morning. [/glow] |
