The people they rule over distrust them? Or rumors and things that someone close to the royal family is spreading. Hmm, I'm trying to make it so that my MC doesn't notice that her life is falling apart around her. And she's only 10. I could have her make a public apperance. Actually that would fit in well. Hm. If the servants were spreading rumors among the people that the MC or the baby isn't the child of both royal parents, the MC might never find out that there were rumors like that. Or not find out for a while, anyway. And her parents could explain it away as "the servants are talking". Or something? *shrug* |
