When Elizabeth II came, she just walked around the old town on the capital a bit, met the people, all nice and friendly. For Bush they're demanding roadblocks and people not nearing the escort to this-and-this level, all that. Carry the passport around in case you need to be checked. And so on. Actually I pity Bush... it's like he's a prisoner everywhere he goes, always behind roadblocks and security. Technically, modern British royals are nothing more than figureheads...aren't they? Yeah, but... Elizabeth II. She's a pretty important figurehead. Though indeed, not like she's that much into politics. And it's half past three in the morning. Nah, see, we have the internet. And therefore, there's always a place for someone to write up their opinion, no matter what the content. From what I can tell, the only thing dangerous to post online is a death threat to someone, and that's only logical. USSR didn't have that, because it didn't exist. China still doesn't have it, 'cause their government does censorship.
