Right by Russia's side and fifteen years ago inside it. GMT +2, thus it's almost midnight. Yay timezones... I've recently been spending most of my days chatting in the 'bloids till 4 a.m. though. HAHAHA! I just came across this on the net somewhere: There is a story about an MIT student who spent an entire summer going to the Harvard football field every day wearing a black and white striped shirt, walking up and down the field for ten or fifteen minutes throwing birdseed all over the field, blowing a whistle, and walking off the field. At the end of the summer, it came time for the first Harvard home football team, the referee walked onto the field and blew the whistle, and the game had to be delayed for a half hour to wait for the birds to get off of the field. The guy wrote his thesis on this, and graduated.All I can say is...revenge of the nerds! I heard another instance that, for a final exam, a person had to write an essay on true bravery and courage. That person turned in his test and only wrote, "This is true bravery and courage" and left the classroom. Not only did he pass, but he also achieved a very high mark. I heard of one where, for a philosophy class, the professor put a chair on his desk, and wrote on the board, "Prove to me this chair does not exist." While most of the students started scribbling away madly, one student wrote down two words, and walked out. The words were: "What chair?" He passed with an A. Another version of this story is that the student who did this was my former English teacher. Knowing the guy, I really wouldn't be surprised. |
