They might. But I think it's more an entrance test than an IQ one, isn't it? And I have a friend who went to a view MENSA meetings (he is a genius...a literal rocket scientist), and basically described them as arrogant, self-serving elitists or something like that. Maybe... Can't quite remember. Wow, smart friend... And, it does seem all to easy to descend into elitism if your group is based around being 'smarter' than other people... Drag makes many people look like a dumb little hick. He was a Freshman at Georgia Tech for Aerospace Engineering at the age of 16. He's now, at the age of 21 (I think) working on his graduate degree in the field. Scored a perfect 1600 on the...G-something or others (it's basically the SATs for Grad Students) |
