...nine saxes? o_______0 There should be half that many... My bands usually had two altos, one tenor, and a bari... never nine saxes, even in the unrestricted Concert Band (which had waaaaay too many flutes... XD) Yes, yay for people! Eyup. We have seven altos and two tenors, one of whom is the second worst musician I have ever seen. ;;; (The worst was... a nightmare, frankly. XD He was a tenor sax player in my first band.) Wow, you seem to have trouble with saxes overall... XD But, I can't imagine why there'd be that many of them... what kind of orchestra is this? You haven't seen bad musicians until you see what kiddie-strings sound like, IMO. j;) The orchestra I had mentioned before was a part of this big program, which went from kiddie-strings to high school-college-by-audition-only orchestra and wind ensemble (both of which I was in), so the concerts involved the kiddie strings. They were so out of tune... Though, I can imagine worse musicians in other ways (not practicing, messing everyone else up, etc.), which is probably what you mean anyway... XD

MY orchestra teacher is a bassist, and now the SIXTH GRADERS have a bass and the seventh/eighths dont. -_- Wow, that's not nice at all. Older people should have priority. I know the beginner band at my middle school had some instruments that 6th graders couldn't play (Piccolo, for instance)...

XD It's not really orchestra, it's concert band. We also have a strings ensemble that we sometimes play with on some pieces, maybe that's what got you confused... And we have a choir and a chamber chorus made up of upperclassmen that's really good. *sigh* I'm'a gonna miss Kari, Andrew, Megan, and the other seniors after this year... Jenna will do good as the next first flute, but if neither me or Steve are as good as Andrew, and I don't think I'm ready to be first horn anyway... and Dale isn't nearly as good a trombonist as Megan... And Griff might be leaving, so we might have a new teacher too! D: ...Oh, speaking of band, Griff brought his new puppy to class today. She's so adorable! We had a study hall, too... Once, she walked up to Zach, who was doing homework, and kept sniffing his pencil, so he was playing with it with her, and then she grabs it and runs off with it in her mouth. XDDD He was chasing her all around the room, it was hysterical.

Ah, I'd assumed because of what you said about the Firebird Suite... j:-[ My high school had basically nothing to do with strings, unless you count the string bass that was only used on songs that really needed it (and was played by the Tuba player... XD). There was a Concert Band (which anyone could get into) and a Wind Ensemble (which was chosen from 10-12th graders by audition); they've also added a Repertory Wind Ensemble this year (audition, but less than WE), too, because there were so many people. XD There was a Jazz Band too, but that was something separate. As for chorus, we had a Concert Chorus (for anyone who wanted to) and a Chamber Chorus (by audition). My school was very musically inclined... XD

Aww, yeah, it's always sad when the seniors leave... but, I'm sure you'll do fine. ^_^ It always seemed like the best players left, but then the next year, we did just as well... it would probably be the same way for you. ^_^ Ooh, puppy! So cute! ^__^

Rawr. My mom won't let me eat. -_- Eat this wonderful hunk of ugly meat with potato stew. Not my idea of a lovely after school/Track snack.

I think I'll start work on my Titanic animation. ...is this going to go on for a whole fortnight? XDDD (Your rabid Titanic fanboyness, that is) But, in all seriousness, an animation sounds cool! Just don't let it get you down... animation is hard.
