KitKit here. I'm typing today's account up because I'm too lazy to resize the photos and rename them and such, so Crystal is doing that while I tap away at the keyboard. :3
Today started with me waking up early, sneaking over to the camera and taking a picture of sleeping Scar. And yes, that picture will be up if Scar gives his permission. >> ..anyway, after a quick bath and such, we headed out for breakfast! And yeah, we did kinda chant "Breakfast! Breakfast! Breakfast! Breakfast! Breakfast!" all the way there. Being true Penangites, we had one of the best things Penang had to offer for breakfast, Dim Sum. :3 .. Dim Sum is essentially steamed chinese dumplings, but heck were they good. They were so good we had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. >__> ..Once we did get a table however, we called for a pot of tea ( good stuff ) and went off to hunt for tray after tray of dumplings. And yes, we do have pictures of the food for you people to drool over. :3
Breakfast downed, we hopped into the car and I drove us northeast for our first stop, a spice garden. We actually wanted to see some waterfalls before that, but we kinda missed the turning. But anyway! Spices! The spice garden was pretty, lots of greenery. And it smelled awesomeness. We hiked up the garden, and saw lots of pretty red trees. Ooh, before I forget. The road to the garden was all twisty and such, so Scar got somewhat queasy. Partway through the spice garden, he abandoned Crystal and me to go to the toilet. While he was gone, Crystal and I played an old game which involved tossing and catching stones. While we were doing that, a tour guide came over and talked to us. He was a nice guy. He was leading a tour group of Arabic tourists, and came up to where we were and took a drink from a nearby stream. He told us the water was drinkable, and when he left, we took a sip. And yes, the water was absolutely wonderful. It was cold and sweet, and very, very refreshing.
Further on, we found lots of neat things. Like a hammock. And a giant swing. I liked the giant swing. Scar didn't. Apparently the guy is scared of heights, and well.. the swing kinda goes over this ledge thing, and it does sorta go up rather high. He ended up begging to get off. Poor guy. Crystal and I eventually relented and let him off and swung ourselves silly. Ooh, and after that there was this neat chinese door, and then there was water. Kit liked the water very much.
After the water, we found ourselves back at the entrance. xD ..we apparently found ourselves going around full circle. The tour guide from earlier was there too, and we talked for a while. The poor guy was a little tired out from all the tour groups, but he was nice nonetheless. He even showed us a few neat things. :3 .. Like this awesome smelling sarsaparilla leaf. Kit liked the leaf.
Anyway, after that we went across the road to the beachfront for some coconut water and um.. ais kacang ( literally translated: ice bean/nut ). It's um, shaved ice with syrup and lots and lots of goodies- *insert long yawn here and pause and such* -uh, KitKit is feeling a little tired, I'll edit and do the rest later.
