Last night I dreamed that Neopets had an impromptu event that had to do with Faerieland. It was like the userbase woke up that morning and gradually learned that something was up with Faerieland. It started when the Healing Springs faerie suddenly acted more hostile to us, and told us that she will only heal us one more time but otherwise she will no longer help us ungrateful Neopets. Eventually, the screen became a shop where we were pressured to buy something, except instead of the usual fare, it was filled with random junk with very odd names.
Everyone in various Neopets chats were going "what's going on?!". But eventually we learned there was a plot. Especially when there was a note near the Healing Springs that was from Illusen, saying that faeries were angry at Neopians and were fighting back, though she herself was on the fence but it was up to us to get to the bottom of this. And we learned that the plot would only progress if we bought a certain junk piece from the Healing Springs. (Thankfully none of them were super expensive, and neither was the junk piece we had to buy.) Once we did that, we would get what looks like a (old-version) random event of someone nearby noticing and going, basically: "You too?! [Place] is like this too!". So everyone went to the next Faerieland place/store, where the faeries there were again hostile and selling only junk.
We quickly figured out the routine. We'd have to buy a particular junk piece, and then we'd be given a hint directing us to the next location. Not all the locations were necessarily in Faerieland. We also could've bought other junk, it just wouldn't plot advance. As we went along, things gradually became more hostile, and in Faerieland, more grey. I recall checking on my pets once and finding All of Them were suddenly sick. Except they weren't sick with any of the standard Neopets diseases. I recall one disease that was or was similar in spelling to McScabies. Except because the Healing Springs was restricted to us or only healing us once, and with no cure for these diseases on the site, we were kind of stuck this way.
I ended up using my one-time heal at the Healing Springs, but only Indal got healed and cured. After that I was restricted from using the Healing Springs.
Everyone had separated into small groups to decide the next move and talk about things. With that in mind, I suddenly found myself in a Krawk Island restaurant/bar sitting at a table with Lizica and Riel. We were discussing what to do next as we waited for food. Apparently, we were there to both talk and to keep an eye out for gossip that would lead us to the next thing. I'm sure the on-site equivalent would be a unique page on Krawk Island where we get together in a group and type stuff in a chat bar until an NPC gives an informative text response. But in this case it was in real-time. We kind of went back and forth on discussing things until we started getting ideas, some that diverged and some that converged. I think it was one of Riel's ideas where an NPC came to us and told us they'd been listening to us and if we were going to do that, we might want to head off... To a certain place that basically served as our clue for where to go next.
Excited to finally get a lead, we all got up simultaneously and left without paying.
I think at one point I ended up at a Hidden Tower esque page that was also filled with junk, but also Hidden Tower items that were renamed with junk names. But they were also hugely discounted. I saw a Darigan Paint Brush (with a completely different name) for around 301,xxx NP (I don't recall the last 3 numbers.) I discussed this with others who were trying to talk me out of it, but I figured that if it is legit, this is a great bargain! So I nabbed it. Mine~ ^^ So what if I didn't advance the plot, I may have gotten a very cheap Darigan Paint Brush. Or not. Who knows?
Throughout all of this, I was balancing between the real world. I was apparently supposed to have gone to high school (as a student(?)) that morning and only meant to briefly check Neopets before leaving when I found myself wrapped in that and found the plot to be quickly moving, so it never felt right to leave and miss the developing events. Towards the end of the dream, I thought things had slowed and I had pondered going to school for the last half hour before it hits 5pm (because high school ends at 5pm now). Certain family member started getting onto me for all of this so I just focused on Neopets.
Anyway, this continued on. And at one point a hint told us that we were nearing the end, and the next clue was at the bank. I went to the bank, where we were... anticlimactically given NP, something around 1200 neopoints. With no other details or explanation. We all went "what? That can't be it!". We determined that there must be a secret on the bank page that we would have to scour. But as we were searching, the dream ended.

Gelquie I'm glad I could help solve the mystery of what was going on. Also you can literally write an actually decent plot in your sleep, TNT should hire you.

I had a dream that was most likely inspired by some of the YouTube videos I've been watching recently, wherein I picked up a second-hand copy of some Pokémon game (supposedly gen 3) that had been rekt by save corruption, presumably because the previous owner had gone to town with a Gameshark. And I decided to make a project out of trying to get it back into a playable state, because supposedly it wouldn't even load the save file at the start of the dream, which idk how I managed to fix that, lol.
Anyway, I was able to get into the save file, but it was packed with corrupted data. So I started the process of undoing the corruption, which involved going back and forth between some sort of save editor and actually playing the game. Apparently the game was so corrupted that it didn't even think to do this until after three or four sessions of data cleanup, but upon saving the game for that fourth time, an anti-cheat system kicked in!
The game picked out two of my Pokémon that it deemed to be more powerful than they should be. One was a Seedot, and I'm reasonably sure the other one was a Shiftree? Anyway, it took these two Pokémon, and forced me to battle them with my party of not-hacked Pokémon. If I was able to win the battle, which I was, the game would then prompt me to pick between the two Pokémon. Whichever one I picked would be brought back down to a valid power level (but still very strong) and placed back in my team, while the other one would be discarded. After debating the merits of training up a previously hacked Pokémon vs. breeding a new one, I opted to discard the Seedot and keep the Shiftree.
Then I woke up thinking, "That's a pretty hardcore anti-cheat system," haha.

so do you want a strange dream or a funny one? I mean, I think people really just use this thread to describe dreams they've had, regardless of how weird or funny they are, lol. Speaking of which, I had a dream last night where I went to a restaurant and got a chicken parmesan bowl, and now I am incredibly jealous of my dream self

A sequence along the lines of: - Finding an outside-facing door in what's supposed to be your house that has been unlocked the whole time you've been living there - In the process of locking it, which for some reason now requires a padlock and chain, you go into the backyard and stumble across essentially a magical girl mascot (the wholesome kind, not the Madoka kind) in the form of a white rabbit/cat thing that could pass for a stuffed animal if it weren't very obviously alive and magical - You are now in character as a teenage witch with magic (and now the house is in a neighborhood that looks like an IRL childhood friend's for some reason) but you need to slowly make friends with the mascot in order to actually figure out how to use magic. Still, you feel pretty special - While you're busy feeling special, you forgot to lock that door from earlier and a grade school rival girl character who you apparently have known for years takes the mascot and you lose your magic! - She isn't able to attune with the mascot at the moment but has a general idea what it is. Somehow you get it back and make friends with the rival though. - This whole story is also apparently a secret-magical-world-in-IRL schtick, and the person playing your dad is an accomplished software engineer who makes the person having the dream feel a bit inadequate OOC (same career and whatnot) and somehow this reflects onto the magical girl character you're playing - He explains his job to you and some friends while you lot are watching the credits on an unspecified VHS movie (OOC you get the impression it's Jurassic Park because you watched that one with the IRL childhood friend whose house you're living in) - It's now morning the next day, it was apparently a sleepover but you either stayed up all night or slept in a different room from your friends, and there's a book that's not magical but supposed to be thematically relevant to your character, and which you always skip the first section of, which is mostly an index and stuff but apparently there's important hidden character-development-related stuff in that section. You contemplate reading it but are interrupted for breakfast. - Your dad character finds a crossword about the events of the dream so far. One word was apparently filled in by you in elementary-school-quality printing (it's one of your friends' names probably), but also one was filled in as an example word printed as part of the puzzle: Lily, which is apparently your magical mascot's name. Your dad character asks what that's supposed to be, because you filled in a different part of the puzzle, but you're like idk that one was autofilled, you shrug, and that placates him - It's later in the day and you feel bad about lying to him (and your friends, other than rival friend, who aren't supposed to know about magic) and express as much when pressed about it (which includes mention of IRL deadname by someone who's supposed to be your little sister which you don't have IRL, yes now the dream protagonist is trans too but still closeted to family), but can't mention what you're lying about so you keep it oblique and metaphorical - You go outside (to the park across the street in full view of the house) to meet your mentor witch (who is dressed in very conspicuous anime witch garb) who's supposedly been training you for some time but announces that she's about to go away for a project for 2 months and leaving you on your own to train with your mascot. You express confusion because the longest project you can remember doing was a semester of university and didn't require you leaving town for months. (Dream logic knows about your career but forgets about it here and throws a university project into the memory of a teenage character.) - Unfortunately IRL alarm goes off at this point

I had a very weird, sorta extreme dream/nightmare last night. I'll spoiler this just in case: - First, I was in some university at the time. There were rumors of a celebrity couple that were together for a while, but they had a falling out. One of them wrote a book about the other and it was full of negative things about the other person. Idk why, but I was compelled to read this book. - The other person turns out to have a very powerful family both financially and politically. Somehow, through unknown means, he took over the entire US government. It was supposedly his revenge over the person who wrote the book. - He passed a decree that stripped anyone under 40 of their rights. Don't ask me why, all I know is I was re-classified as "not an adult" anymore and thus had no rights. - Everyone under 40 and older than 10 was assigned a job to do. It was whatever the government needed. There were also rumors they were conducting experiments with some new gaseous chemical (I think this probably came from Far Cry 6) - The police would wander the streets demanding the "not adults" empty their pockets, searching for copies of said offensive book (Maybe this is from all the book ban news) - One time, we tried to revolt and skip out on this daily inspection by the police and we all ran away. Somehow, I ran into this building and room and this officer comes in, knowing that I'm there. But for whatever reason, she decides to keep me hidden and help me. After hiding me in the room for several hours, she opens a back door and tells me to go back home immediately. - I ran back home and hid for the rest of the day. I don't remember anything else other than adults coming home with groceries and talking about the government making strange chemicals and also whether this autocracy would last.
Kind of a crazy way to enact revenge on a person right? By wrecking society for the heck of it. Then again, one of the reasons the former guy ran for president was because he once said to a sportscaster "If they [NFL owners] won't let me buy an NFL team, I'll get my revenge by running for president."

I haven't had an actual dream in years - one long and lucid enough for me to recall it clearly afterwards. So this one was a bit of a surprise.
In the dream, I was moving into a place that kinda looked like Hogwarts. xD The ceilings were very high and grand, the lighting was all golden, and there were spiral staircases. I carried my suitcase up one of the spiral staircases and entered - I guess my dorm room? Or apartment, it was unclear. It looked quite small at first, like the dorm room I used to live in. There was a narrow hallway, a washroom, and one room with a bed and table.
Then I discovered that there was a secret room, like in a Sherlock Holmes story. After I pressed an invisible switch on the wall in the hallway, the whole wall slid silently open and there was an enormous study room inside. Shelves upon shelves of books so tall I had to lift my head to see the top. Long, smooth tables. And elegant shuttered lamps.
At this point a roommate randomly appeared in the dream - as dream logic goes xD - and the two of us agreed to keep the knowledge of the secret room to ourselves. But somehow, word still got out that we had a secret room. So later on in the dream I found myself leading a whole group of people up the stairs and into the apartment to look at the secret room. I pressed the switch on the wall, showed them around, and everyone ooh'ed and aah'ed. Then, as we stepped out, one of the tourists suddenly fell down dead in the hallway.
And at that point I woke up in shock. xD

It was actually more of a dream in the morning after I was woken up and later finally got back to sleep, but. I was in a restaurant, and me and one other person were plotting to end the head chef's career. I think it was because he was kinda rude and mean, but he was a very good cook.
Anyway, the person with me told me the plan. I would offer to cook a dish, ruin it, and somehow make it the chef's fault, making him look incompetent, and that combined with his attitude would ruin him.
He said this in front of me, very loudly, while the guy in question was standing right there. The guy immediately laughed at us and said to just try and ruin him, he would make sure it wouldn't work. And despite all logic saying we should change the plan, we decided to just go ahead and run forward with the plan.
As part of it, I was to take some of the cooked ingredients and somehow find an excuse to be in the kitchen. I was allowed to grab one chopstick full of chow mein to later throw in the pan and ruin. I think my plan was to just be heating it up, and then take advantage of him maybe chiding me to shout back at him, and ruin the food in the process, thus me going "well, if he hadn't yelled at me!!". Flawless plan, I know. Anyway, even though I'm decent with chopsticks IRL, for some reason I had trouble grabbing some, and I ended up grabbing a paltry amount. He laughed at this and said "good luck making something of that!" And I knew the plan was in trouble because dang, it'll just be too easy to burn this!
I talked for a while with the other conspirator to figure out what to do, but my body decided it was time to wake up.

I had a Neo dream last night where a Faerie and some other character were going around talking to various monarchs, looking for help in stopping some sort of dangerous calamity that was about to unfold... or something? I don't remember too many details, lol.
What I do remember is that they stopped to visit a king who was apparently someone's OC, who ruled over a city that formed a ring around another city that I guess was part of Meridell or something. The city was bleak, with a bunch of soldiers all over the place, apparently oppressing the townspeople and forcing them to give tribute to the tyrant king. But when the Faerie actually went into the castle, the king was just some yellow Lupe sitting in a beanbag chair and watching a big screen TV. He greeted the Faerie cheerfully, apparently oblivious to the state of his kingdom and presumably being a puppet king while someone more sinister ruled from the shadows. In any case, he gave the Faerie a gift and sent her on her way before she could ask him about the dangerous calamity.
And then the dream revealed that the owner of this OC had somehow hacked their gallery into being a custom daily featuring this character, so that was interesting, lol.

Had a Paranatural related dream. So the main Activity Club kids were involved in some Shenanigans. Said shenanigans involved the four kids traveling to various areas where each kids faces a Harrowing Task or Choice. Went through Isabel's and Isaac's in particular, just I don't remember the details, except that it was long and indeed harrowing and involved important life lessons.
Then we get to Max, and it's time for his psychologically harrowing trial. And maybe he was just presented with a question of sorts?
So then he just... gets out some paper, sits at a school desk, and doodles. After not much time, he he doodles the genderfluid flag (because his one pen somehow produced colors; maybe it's a possessed pen), gives a nonchalant "oh," and concludes that he's genderfluid. ....And that's the end of his harrowing task.
Then he gets on a bus with Ed (because I guess they were done with their Harrowing tasks) where they happily talk about it and Max talks about getting a variety of piercings to swap through.
On the one hand, I don't think it's canon, on the other hand, it'd be a cool mental image.

I had a Steven Universe dream where some evil human guy got his hands on some sort of pill that was apparently supposed to be like, gem corruption? In physical form?? Anyway, he swallowed it, as the Crystal Gems watched in horror. At first the guy became very ill, but then he suddenly started developing some super powerful gem-esque powers, and the gems had to figure out how to deal with him. Also Lars was there for some reason, though it was before certain events from season 5.
idk but it kind of made me wish the human characters had a bigger role in the show lol
