CHATSPEAK!!! Hee hee. Feel free to express shock, rage, and indignation. ;D Anyways, I think I'll go on ahead and post this... Sabreur kinda talked me into going ahead and doing it altough it's of doubtable quality. It's a comic short I did, only three pages. Based off a dream I had a couple nights ago. Pretty cool. It's also the first storyline comic I've done like this so be nice - practice makes perfect and I don't have a lot of practice in this. I'll include an explanation/spoiler at the very bottom for everyone who gets lost. The girl is a seer, a blind one. (all the best seers are, after all) For whatever reason, a vampire in the city (think London just post-industrial revolution) takes her into his service - using her to stay out of trouble and find the night's victim, etc. She despises him but can't easily leave because none of the other vampires like having a human around and would kill her if they had the chance. So, she's stuck. And that's it.

Wow... that's amazing art and storyline.... I'm having trouble getting over the creepyness of it! I love it!

Nice atmosphere in the art. I could really feel the creepyness of it all.

That was good, though I was a little confused. If she's blind, how did she know that Trevos was coming? And is this the first issue? If so, it seems like not much was described in the comic, what you said was the only way I knew what was going on. You might want to consider making one before this.

I like it very much so, but as mentioned, it's sometimes hard to tell who's who, as the greyscale makes their hair colours similar, and they both have longish hair. And the girl often varies quite a considerable amount in height, which also made me wonder who was who. Anyway, wonderful work. It's nice to see some serious comics for a change (serious 'comics', bit of an oxymoron ).

I was thinking of making a serious comic for the NT, but it is a series so.. I put it in the 'Don't get your hopes too high up' pile.

Yeah, I could probably have fixed some of the confusion issue by adding more panels. But it basically boiled down to that this was "just for fun" and to see what I could do as a first attempt at this kinda thing. If I do another, I'll know to make it a lot more detailed. I also went through with a very good artist friend of mine, Bongo and covered all the things I coulda done better/need to practice. Faces, so that you'll be able to tell people apart, even with the grayscale. That's something I've just recently gotten close to decent on though. Still need a loooot of practice. Perspective. I have no practice in perspective whatsoever. I tried a LOT of new things in this... hopefully I'll get better at it and maybe then Room for Two won't be so flat and boring all the time. Though it will remain in color, don't worry. I used black and white because I love grayscale stuff (I dunno why, I just do) and because it's quicker. (like I said, this was mostly for fun) I'm glad I got the creepy atmosphere though - that was one of the big things I was hoping to get. (altough clarity was pretty high on the list too.... )

I'm guessing the crouching person in the second piece is the girl.
Kinda reminds me of Mappi from Legend of Dragoon. I will say this, too... You're way better at capturing emotions than I am...
The whole thing is really impressive...

Very cool! I had a bit of trouble getting it the first time I read it, but after I read the spoiler-thing at the bottom and re-read it, I managed to capture the whole comic. It's a very awesome storyline! And you draw so well!

I great way of doing perspective, I find, is to get someone to stand there for you... of if you can't, stand there youself, and think about what angle your body parts are at, and how you'd see them from the angle you're drawing at. Living your characters poses makes you see flaws in them, like if it's awkward, and helps improve poses and perspective generally. Ever since I did some figure drawing at school, I've found my anatomy and positioning to be alot more accurate. As alot of people have commented, I really like the greyscale. Perhaps you could make it contrast a little more, really taking advantage of the spectrum. And I suppose that would help distingush characters. Hehe, but I really do like it. I love your style, and your ideas. That's why I'm back on this thread again

I don't get it. Where's the funny part? And while we're at it, what's this "serious" you talk of?

[glow=red,2,300]Whoa, creepy. Spiffy, but creepy. I guess I can understand how she knows Trevos is coming. Sense of hearing, smell, whatever. And the fact that she's psychic also helps. The charatcers do look sort of similar. But, oh my gosh this isamazing. *is uber-jealous of Kiddo's art*[/glow]

Meep! Creepiness! *cowers*
Actually, I really like it. Are you going to continue? I'd be fun to follow along. It sounds really niftyness. I like a serious one every now and then, I'm a manga obsessor... Wish my comics looked half as good. And I would steal your talent, but someone already did... *evil glares* Grrr.
Good job!
