There are so many good people here. But we only have room for so many mods...

I am looking over the site to see if there are any more positions that need filling. As it stands there are a few people that have been recommended and only so many positions.

For those who have expressed a desire to be a mod, remember this:

All of the mods I have picked were picked based on what has been observed on the site over a long period of time. None of our Admins, Mods, or Mini-mods ever asked for the job (including me). They were picked for how they conducted themselves.

As for me, I was just another member when the NTWF was new. I sorta got tagged (with Oddhatter) when Josh left Neopets and things got strained here. I was doing what I felt was right. Shidi and Aus took notice and kinda " drafted" me on the spot. Later, when they decided to retire from Neopets, I was handed the keys to the NTWF and asked to take over.

I didn't ask for this job, but I tackled it the way I handle everything else I do. That is 100% to the best of my abilities. I am not perfect, but I give it my all.

On the same note, I also realized that I can't do it all, so I decided to pick a few others to help. I and the other staff talk, and I end up making a choice depending on what I hear. I think we have a great team of people, dedicated to helping others on the Forum. Not only to help maintain some kind of (dis)order, but to help keep the site a fun place to go.

I don't pick people that agree with me. I pick people that I think can do the job. Having a bunch of yes-people tend to stagnate things, and I want the NTWF to thrive. And I DO listen to people when they voice concerns about the site.

I expect a lot of of the Mods. I hold them to higher standards. I also back them 100%. If they don't perform to expectations, I talk to them, but I don't do it in public. If someone has a problem with one of the Mods, or with me, let me know. I try my best to be impartial.

Anyway, I ramble too much. Congrats again to Sharla, Smiley, and Kiddo!
