One day, I stumbled upon this and I just couldn't resist doing those wings xD I tried not to modernise Zmey Gorynych, I tried to keep him as classic and ugly-gargoyle-ish as I could... but the modern notion of "dragon" still showed through. Ah well Edit: Another one of the slovenian dragon! Edit: Now I vow to draw something cute and fluffy...

Thanks for the comments, Ken and Ginz btw, I meant for the flames to be bigger... but I ran out of space on the paper xD

*gaps* My dragon! *steals*
Excellent job, pac! The shading of the skin is so soft...what softness of pencil did you use? The wings, as mentioned earlier, are really neat. It's rare to see a combination feather and leather. The diffent methods of shading (I'm guessing you used soft and crosshatch) really make the image stand out ^_^

Heh, the crosshatch was there to indicate scales... not sure if it was entirely successful, but I guess it did add to the charm Heh, now I look back on it, it reminds me of a griffin somewhat... albeit a three-headed one xP

My friend at schoo asked me to do another dragon for her ^^ So I did this during English, to avoid falling asleep watching a video. It's a little grubbier, and you can see my maths worksheet (pythagoras... too easy and boring) showing through from the other side, but... I like the rock

That is WONDERFUL! The shading is GREAT. It's got a soft look to it that just makes the picture easy to look at, but hard to look away from! XD I just love your dragons!

Very good at the dragons. The shading is really nice, but may I suggest that you add really dark values as well as the lighter values to make certain parts stand out more. It sounds odd at first, but adding darker shading values to the lighter is what I've heard from both my advanced art classes, and college art professors when I was at a portfolio show xD

I love the texture and shading, with all that detail. *envious*

Heh, thanks Lu! Mera, I do know what you mean... the actual thing on paper has much more contrast between light and dark, but my scanner always flattens them down to duller greys. But I'll make it darker next time. Thanks for the tip!

The second is even more inexplicably awsome than the first!
You get TWO gold stars! *sticks them on your forehead*

I tend to be pretty aggressive in my shading [going with crosshatching techniques most of the time and mechanical pencil if possible], and this soft shading that you've done is really attractive. :3 Good job!
