I just entered this one in a few minutes ago: The eyes didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. Actually, I don't know how to colour eyes. . -just realized that-. I do, however, like the colours. So bright ^_^.

My entry for Ixi Day! I haven't gotten into the AG in a while (since Yurble Day, I think), so I thought why not? I thought I'd be pretty good at drawing Ixi. Flash MX is so awesome for cartooning...

No Illustrator...I never used that before. Everything's done in Flash for me. Mine's an old version from 2002, though.

If you have Flash...
1) I draw a sketch using some light colors.
2) For lines, I create another layer on top of the sketch, zoom in 250%, and trace over the sketch with the pen tool (smallest size).
3) From here on, I delete the sketch layer. Then on the same layer as the lines, I use the fill tool and paint in the basic colors. Since Flash uses vector, this is easy.
4) For shading, I create a layer on top of the coloring/line layer. Then I choose black and set the opacity at 10-20% and draw in the shading. This way, I don't have to choose shading colors because I'm lazy. XD
5) Now I usually don't highlight, but if you want to, make a layer on top of the shading layer, choose white and set the opacity to 10-20%, and do the same thing as step 4.

Ooooh, very nice guideline chazm I've got Flash MX 2004 - hopefully I can do just that, in this version I really like vector art when it's done like this. Great job *thumbs up*

Something I entered yesterday. I hate colouring. What's the difference between jpg and gif?

hmm...I don't know. Maybe gif can't get well on changing the color softly.
