hey ive got a question. im working on a piece to submit, and was wondering if owners can be in the picture too? its all my neopets on all my accounts with a christmas present in the middle and me. It's supposed to be like a "merry christmas from our family to yours" and was wondering if thats allowed?

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but the more personal your picture is, the less likely it is to get into the AG — they tend to prefer canon characters and general interest situations.

It's supposed to be like a "merry christmas from our family to yours" and was wondering if thats allowed? I'm not sure that it is allowed anymore. If you go back in the AG you'll find owner/pet pictures were practically the norm, but then the owner/pet pictures dropped off and stopped. The last time I saw a picture with an owner in it was a two to four years ago when Kittylin did a birthday picture for Miles, but since she draws herself as a Lupe that probably doesn't count. But, I can't say I've ever seen anything saying you can't, so you I think you should try anyway.

Thanks. I'm gonna try. I'm not the point of interest in the picture (I don't take up much space) so I'm hoping it's not a problem....maybe I should create like a faerie-sona for me or something xP hehe

I drew this picture and submitted it a couple of weeks before Christmas but I haven't herd back. You only get a neomail if it's accepted don't you? Should I try resubmitting it?

^ The Art Gallery doesn't send Neomails; you have to just keep checking back to see if you got in. Resubmitting probably can't hurt, though there's no real way to know when or if you'll get in. Usually they put up work that's all been submitted pretty recently, such as within the week, but I've heard of pictures getting in for random days long after they were originally submitted. -- A couple of recent entries:

I love your pictures, Nut, especially the characters' expressions. XD

Thank you, I'm glad you both like it! The expressions are fun to draw. xD I actually got a few fanmails about the shearing pic, probably because it was on the news page; that was nice. It inspired me to send a fanmail to one of the other artists who got in, too. I should do that more often. Edit: Rushed doodle for Buzz Day. Lazy lighting effects ftw!

Eishastara, that's cute--it looks really relaxed and peaceful. The glowing lights on the musician give the evening a calm and magical look. Chomzloh, wow, that's some very nice lineart; I really like the way they're posed and resting against each other--it looks very natural. The fabric folds on her dress are nicely done. EDIT: For Elephante Day. Fun fact: this is the first game I ever played on Neopets! Ahh nostalgia. EDIT: For Kacheek Day.

Gah, Nut, the quality of your linework and the way you use colour never stops amazing me. <3 Congrats on all the recent wins; you've deserved every one of them. And now I feel self-conscious because I kinda lazed out on this picture as far as pose and lineart go, but anyway. I think I missed the bandwagon for impulsive Eventide Draik art. =D;

Good grief Tamia, what are you talking about? The way you shade and use color blows me away, and I don't think I tell you that enough. Just look at that Draik. Look at that gracefully flying rainbow scarf and the bold shadows and the highlights that make everything seem to shine, and the way those gleaming starlights seem to melt into the sky. That right there is magic, and it's beautiful. Seriously, when it comes to striking shading and colors, I've never thought I held a candle to you. xD But thank you! <3 And I think Eventide is possibly the most artistically inspiring color Neo has ever invented. I've been itching to draw it too, but I feel like I'm better at funny pictures than pretty pictures, so I've been holding off. (Also the color actually inspired me to start working on an NT story, which would be illustrated, so that's a distraction.)

This is my entry for Valentine's Day. I know it's not much but it's worth a try.
