Art was just a bore for me. It was stupid projects like "draw a kitchen in perspective!" or some realstic projects. She wanted ONLY realism for pictures, not any kind of cartoon-like style...
I got very bored, very fast. I had animation last year and that was fun, mostly because I could do whatever I wanted. ^_^

Art in year 12 is HELL. We went to go see an exhibition of last years best Year 12 pieces yesterday. The teacher went on about how we would all be motivated and inspired, but most of the people were just depressed and contemplating quitting art because there is NO WAY we measure up to that standard. I know it sounds stupid, but my heart feels sick now because of it.
Linny, i have that sort of problem with feet. I used to draw them too small. Then i drew them too big. Now i have no idea what i'm doing.

Ooh! Pretty sparkles! Pretty outfit! Pretty hair! Pretty staff! *sigh* I wish I had artistic talent (and a scanner).

lol, I saw my art grade so far, and it actually was an A. I was totally surprised, and not because I did a bad job on her stupid projects, but because I broke all the rules.
Teach: "Draw a picture off of a calendar and then turn it into a card." *I then animate a wolf and give it to her* Teach: "Uh, this is supposed to be realistic, but that is... unique... Okay, now make many dots to do the picture on the card." *I do the whole thing, and it looks really good, a wolf howling at the moon. However I left the sky white to make the wolf stand out better* Teach: "Is that a moon?" Me: "yes." Teach: "then make the background black it's night!" *I refused her several times until she gave up and just accepted it saying I would loose points*
and then there was another project...
Teach: You will all be making a collage!" *I think cool! and then start making a dragon out of scratch* Teach: "You HAVE to do it from a magazine picture!" *I complain a lot about that, but then re-start on a picture of a dinosaur-bird thingy. As close to a dragon as I could get. I then began to cut out the pieces and glue them to the collage. Five days later, I finish* Teach: "You aren’t supposed to cut out the pieces, you have to rip them out." me: "WHAT!!! You COULD have told me this a LONG time ago! Besides I like it this way!" Teach: "Well, you had better fix it or loose points." *I refused her, but I would have lost points for turning it in late anyhow...*
This happened many more times, but I still got an A even though I lost so many points. Partially because my artwork was featured in some paper for some thing or another twice, on two projects she had taken points for...

I do both realistic and cartoon, but I really prefer cartoons. They you can me more imaginitive. I didn't go into the studio art because I know it would make me hate art. I'm in the one-year art history course, my teacher really wants me to switch but nu! Nu nu nu...

Ha, I pity you all. My art teacher is GREAT. We do fun stuff, learn new techniques, and we can stretch what we do a little bit without loosing nay marks. We rarely get critisism, just lots of comments. ;D

My studio art teacher is pure evil... At least she doesn't blow a whistle at you every time you do something, and take points from your every project... I am too stubren to do it her way though. If I try and believe it looks great, I won't change it for a million bucks... well mabey for a million bucks. Last year I had the best art teacher ever, and she even helped me to sell some of my pictures to people.

You people are LUCKY! I wish I could do those sorts of things. Not the long projects and stuff like that, I mean just the drawing. Actually, I think I've isolated my people drawing problem. I think I try to make them too realistic and that messes me up big time.

We always did the dumbest projects. Being a person who can't use a ruler (I honestly can't), it was boring.... >P I say FEH to Drawing I!

When we went to visit the school I'm most definietly going to... the art teacher there said that we had to start by drawing our HAND. I can't draw a hand for a few llamas. I suck at tracing... especially hands. But I saw a few pictures of Spongebob Squarepants But I know that I can draw better than that... With a mouse too
