You need a domain name for a Cyberpixels account, although not necessarily with them. Besides, it's around $10 a year(9.95, or something like it) for a domain name at godaddy.com , where I registered both oddhatter.net and sheepofdoom.com. Of course, you can also register your domain name through cyberpixels, but godaddy is cheaper. I pay monthly for cyberpixels, mainly because I can't afford to pay it for an entire year. But if it is something you need, they have very good tech support. (note: sara, I'm willing to host any images on the ntag subdomain, as long as they are related directly to the guild. so if it's for the faqand not just personal images - go right ahead)

Oh well. It doesn't matter. Once I finsh my world altering inventions, I'll have plenty of spending money. Now I just need two solar panels, some wire, a large auto changer for electricity into light, frame metal, and a ventilation system.

Post by Sara at Ragwind on Jan 31, 2003 0:39:12 GMT -5
Due to the bad keyboard on Bluemouth, I switched to Ragwind.
My dad doesn't want to use his credit card, which is the only way to pay for image magician, even though I will pay him the same amount of money in return (sensitive information y'know). However Ranchoweb accepts checks via mail as well as credit card, so it looks like that's the way it's going. Too bad, as I have to transfer my images and change the URLs, but as long as it works.

My parents won't pay for anything internet-related unless they get something useful in the mail (aka: Online clothes shopping). *sigh* I don't see why ImageMagician can't hit you with 30 popups like Proboards does. It would at least be free. *sigh*

I just signed up for Image magician the other day. *sighs* You can always use www.ecomplanet.com. It's free as well and comes with a website. (works on foreign sites.)

It would at least be free. *sigh* The reasons are complicated, but basically ther service Imagemagician offers renders it improssible to force ads with the images. Proboards, as it has a different product, they can use ads to make it free. My parents won't pay for any of my internet related stuff, not even for my Internet Service Provider. My dad and I split the bill according to how many hours we use. And while it's officially my dad paying for imagemagician, I got to pay him the exact same amount of money in cash for him to do it.

It's not that I'm being lazy and don't want to pay, it's just that I'm almost two years under the legal working age, so I can't get a job, and my parents have other things to pay besides me hosting 5 or so images online.
Thanks, sticky; I'll try that site.

Thanks, sticky; I'll try that site. What legal working age? Do you mean 16? Believe it or not, there are loopholes where even babies can get jobs and get paid (usually when babies are employed it's for advertising or the entertainment industry) `but there's a lot of legal restrictions and licenses which are required due to child labor laws. But I'm not begrudging you, Leb388. You probably shouldn't go out of your wa to get money to pay for things like image hosting right now if the process won't make you happy. I just happen to have the cash.
