Despite the fact that I live in Australia and that I have seen kangaroos go swimming several times before it never fails to amuse me. These strange, land dwellers fleeing into the ocean always reminds me of the Simpsons episode where the dolphins come onto the land....

I like to apply reverse logic to this question...how is it possibly possible that kangaroos can not swim? I mean, surely almost anything can swim if it wants to. Most mammals can swim (I'd say all, but I'm pretty sure that there are exceptions, there always are). Even cats can swim, despite popular belief, they just don't like to. I suppose it depends on the creature's ability to float, and mammals have plenty of fat in their bodies as we know.
