And now, more webcomics recommendation! Coming Up Violet [Rated PG] - Long story short: Spin-off/sequel of the finished Fur Will Fly, with characters new and reintroduced of Violet's high school life. The Slackerz [Rated T - WARNING: CONTAINS PROFANITY] Its awesome, need I say more? Brawl in the Family - A cute gaming fancomic featuring Kirby and friends, lots of gaming references and Kirby jokes in it. Accursed Dragon! - The (somewhat) fantasy webcomic where a humanoid dragon Coven seeks to lift his cursed appearance by helping people out, and with his newly met companion, Rawn, a mage in training, will he succeed?

Something that I've got interested in after a bit of link-hopping: Kokiro! Story, cut as short as I can manage: It was supposed to be as straightforward as the paranormal gets: grab the time-and-space-travelling device, get the heck out, and travel to the past. And it really, really would have been that simple! ...If they hadn't brought the chirpy android. If the time-travelling device didn't turn out to be a child with a mind of its own. If there didn't appear to be several versions of it from different times running around the place. If the original version hadn't got lost. If it didn't get mixed up with a strange little alien-looking child, in a world where some differences are more tolerated than others. If the fox-eared brother and sister hadn't got involved. If Kokiro and its new best friend weren't being tracked. If no-one had ever heard of the beautiful guy in the wheelchair, or the depressed politician, or the bird prince. Yep. If none of that had happened, then this really would have been a simple trip... Some bad language. Warning: Keep the crib sheet handy at all times. In the earlier pages, the characters often don't look that different from one another, and it's pretty confusing. Hang tight. It does get easier to follow.

Okay, in my last post I mentioned having over thirty-five webcomics that I read. That number has more or less doubled since I last posted here, so I have a few new honorable mentions: spiky-haired dragon, worthless knight - If that name doesn't intrigue you, I don't know what will. I love these characters so much. I'd rate it PG, but only slightly above a G rating. Nightshift is about anthro cops, robbers and vampires. This comic does have violence, blood(vampires ), a bit of gore and I think some language. Rated PG-13 By the same author there is STARFIRE, aka Starfire Agency. It's a lot like Nightshift, but replace the cops and robbers with ghosthunters and aliens. There are vampires in this as well, and it also gets a PG-13 for similar reasons as Nightshift. While we're on the subject of vampires, I'd like to mention my friend Biff the Vampire, which is an entirely different, much more lighthearted take on vampires than the above comics. I highly recommend this to fans of werewolves, vampires, and anyone else too. Rated PG for some instances of slightly morbid vampire humor. And now for something completely different. Precocious is somewhat hard to describe. It's a little like Calvin and Hobbes or Ozy and Millie, only not. The tagline is "Because Knowledge is a Weapon!" With a rating around a low PG-13, I'd say that HamstaPowah is pretty much an instant classic. First, there is significant improvement of the art styles between the first and latest comic. Second, it has a large cast of lovable characters. Third, it has a really intriguing plot, even when the plot doesn't seem to be moving. Fourth, it has all of the following: talking hamsters, mice, and rats making up the majority of all characters ever; a scepter of power being sought be demons; a rock band with a message of racial tolerance; evil human scientists and their robot minions trying to capture said mice and hamsters to study them; a silent young (mouse) boy who has awesome secret powers and an unknown past; and an awkward yet touching love story.

Gotta say, I don't follow many webcomics, mostly because I've got pretty high standards when it comes to art quality. Lackadaisy is my top fave webcomic, though I'm sure many are already familiar with her stuff. (I've already purchased her first printed book and have two posters. X3) It's a sepia-toned comic set in prohibition era with cats. Brilliant artwork, especially her emotions. It's a very intelligent comic, too, with really clever dialogue. Sam and Fuzzy are my second fave comic. The comic goes in large story arcs, and I think it might be hard to pick up at the moment, what with its complicated backstory involving metal rockers, attacking robot bears, and the ninja mafia, but the jokes are really clever. And the black and white art is really top notch. Filtered Fuzz. This one's a little plug for a webcomic started by a friend from college. Filtered Fuzz is a really cute story (it's a storyline comic rather than a comic strip comic) and has really unique art. Plus, the main character, Maggot, is adorable in a hideous sort of way. It's really a charming comic.] Dawn of Time is also a very charming comic, set in what I think is either the prehistoric world or an alternate world with dinosaurs, I'm not quite sure. XD A lot of the comics are pantomime, and are more adorable than laugh-out-loud funny. Still, I love the art and the characters. Aaaaaand, when my sis finally builds up enough of a buffer and launches her site, I'll be back to this thread to promote her new webcomic, Pomp Fiction. It's a story about a group of anthro greasers who work at an auto shop. My sis's art is way more detailed and expressive than my stuff, so her comic promises to be AWESOME. ( Here and here are examples) Though, probably will be PG-13 due to bad language and some older themes like drugs and sex. ^^;;;;;

Catena-A group of (mostly) anthro cats that live in a house together. What makes it truly unique was that the writer is a Christian, so you'll see angels around (and a special Easter one in the first year that's one of my favorites. You can see it here). Updates Monday. Better Days-This one has a "For Better or for Worse" thing going (though not for much longer, according to the author) with the characters actually aging. It has anthro cats (as well as some other anthro animals) and follows Fisk, his sister Lucy, and their widowed mother (their father was killed in Vietnam). Basically it just follows different points of their lives, from 10 years old to adulthood. It does have very adult themes and implied sexuality (though nothing trulty explicit), so it's not for kids. Updates Monday and Friday. Ctrl+Alt+del-A comic written by a gamer, it follows the lives of three gamers:Ethan, his wife Lilah, and his best friend Lucas. With Ethan's obsession with games at a point where no mere mortal could ever reach (some game companies even have restraining orders on him), there are sure to be wacky things going on. Also, he sometimes throws in a comic that makes a joke about a recently released game. Updates Monday, Wednesdasy. and Friday. Brawl in the Family-A great comic about Kirby and his Nintendo friends. Has plenty of game references popping up everywhere, and is able to combine those refrences into something truly amazing (kind of like the game it's based on) Updates Tuesday and Friday.

I'm-a gonna take this opportunity to plug my own webcomic, like the commercial sell-out I am: Ishmael : This is my webcomic, which I just started recently. Basically, it's about this rat dude named Ishmael, a well-meaning guy in the illogical world we live in. I'm still sort of finding a voice, but I would rate the comic PG, as I intend to make the comic a bit of a satire, commenting on politics and culture and such. The whole blog is called "It Seemed Funny at the Time", and if you look through the archives, you'll find some other things I've done, like some of my school Photoshop projects and some old comic strips of mine.

The only comic I really follow right now is Knit Princess, which is about a knitter, her roommate, and her cat. It's probably not very funny unless you are/know a knitter (or yarn-a-holic), but I like it. It's relatively new, having started in January.

No Pink PoniesGirls who love comics are awesome, especially when they randomly buy a comic store because they thought it would get them noticed by a certain someone. Filled with laughs and love (of comics), it's a very easy read. Sorta helps that I'm into comics as well I suppose. Who needs pink ponies when you can have comics?

I think if I ever get some extra cash laying around, I'll donate to some my favorite webcomics, and send out fan-letters to their creators. I figure if I appreciate it, I should at least express some appreciation. After all, a lot of these people have talent in art and story.

Always the thought I feel, though I never do so, if for the reason I'm scared of not having enough money of my own, or that I'm too selfish.

1/0: I've read webcomics. I've read more than my share of web comics. But this... just, wow. For its simplicity, even. I spent more than six hours completely reading through it. READ. NOW. www.undefined.net/1/0/?strip=1
