So, I'm about to face Terask II, and...
I just realized that I don't have enough potions. Because of the high prices on Insane and the fact that I don't use slow/haste potions in most boss battles prior to Faerieland, I got into the habit of not buying from the shops. So I didn't stockpile potions from the earlier levels, meaning that now I've got a mountain of useless gold and my 20 Coma Potions are going to have to last me through the whole Terask II battle. (I did buy some Slumber Potions, but I already used a few of them against Terask I, which I'm absolutely kicking myself for.)
I'm suddenly really nervous.
Edit: Well, it turned out I only needed about 15 slowing potions after all. Now I'm curious how people who wrote certain guides have managed to use 50 potions in this battle. I suppose they either threw them a lot more often than I did, or threw a lot of potions while his shield was up.
And I got... a Staff of Righteous Fury. xDDD

So um, I started playing NQ II again =D I'm still at the Dark Cave, but I'm hoping to make some progress these days.

Zombom is usually where my patience for the game falters. Especially on InSaNe. Solo Rohane is just not exciting at all.

Decided to continue my quest for silver trophy for NQ II. I don't know how long I've been playing that level now, am taking my sweet time to be sure. But I'm now finally on my way to pick up Velm! Game without him is not much fun.

Levelling up is annoying. Before I got Velm it was constantly switching between Hunting and Normal for seven paces to heal, going in circles around the last battle point, so as to not advance too fast and then having to spend endless time levelling up before facing the boss. This 'one step forward, two steps back for healing' was sure slow progress but I never had to fear facing the boss.

To bring up a question: What do you think are the biggest stumbling blocks in this game (i.e. will end your game on InSaNe)?
Personally, for me they're Zombom, Leximp and Scuzzy. Zombom we all know, Leximp is a terror with his ridiculously fast speed, and Scuzzy comes at the end of a long dungeon and can still stomp on you if you're not careful.
I'm not saying the Four Faeries because everyone knows to prepare for them and you have a rest stop just nearby, and not Nox because he's entirely optional and I often choose to skip him now. Leximp is optional too, but you really need the rest stop, I think.

He's the one who killed me on my Insane game... ;_; I chose to fight Hubrid and it wasn't too bad--I did overlevel, though. Leximp and Scuzzy I didn't have any trouble with. Zombom, slightly, but that's to be expected.

Leximp is optional too, but you really need the rest stop, I think. well Zombom is on that list for sure, for everybody XD how frustrating it would have to be to go on InSaNe, fight Zombom and die, and have to repeat the most horrible portion of NQII all over again xD;; I've never found Leximp to be that difficult.. I think he only beat me once when I was really underleveled. He's frustrating because he ignores most of Mipsy's attacks so the battle is more drawn out, but I've never really really had a hard time with him. I've had a really tough time with the Four Faeries though, so they're definitely on my list >_> I don't know how many times they beat me on Evil, partly when I was 1 or 2 levels below recommended, but even when I was in the recommended portion they continued to beat me =P So I was absolutely terrified of them on InSaNe, so I really overleveled before I even attempted them. I was so glad when I beat them XDD Scuzzy's always been easy for me, Anubits is a bit tougher but not too bad, Nox is just plain VISCOUS i hate him to death (note: never attempt him on InSaNe like I did) and Terask II is difficult but not so much as Four Faeries/Nox. If I recall correctly, I remember thinking that Esophagor was a tad bit harder than Terask II XD So yeah, my list would be Zombom/Four Faeries/(Nox).

I've finally decided to start a game in Neoquest II. I vaguely remember playing the beginning years ago, but that's as far as I got. Got any advice for me? Edit: I got brutalized by skeletons and cave ogres before I found out through a guide I wasn't supposed to be at that cave yet. Happy day.
