I read about this a while back and had been coming back to check on my NQI game every so often so it wouldn't get deleted, but it seems that the time finally came when I let it go for too long. But I was only on Level 20 or so, which I don't find too painful a loss. I guess it could be worse. The first levels seem to feel like they take forever, but I guess they really are the quickest. I suppose this means I may actually have started NQI Insane once before -- I vaguely thought I had. ;D I have to agree with you there.

I guess it could be worse. The first levels seem to feel like they take forever, but I guess they really are the quickest. I tend to see the entire game as a level grind, so to my mind it's just better to lose the data at Level 20 than, say, 30 or 40. I'm not sure how the later levels in NQI compare to the earlier ones, but in NQII I have always felt that the game drags all the way up until Faerieland, because in Faerieland the distances between bosses become so great that I no longer have to spend hours walking in circles in front of a boss just so I can level up enough to fight him. Meanwhile, I've just entered Faerieland. Apparently overleveling helps enormously against Hubrid Nox; I fought him at Level 49 and the poor guy really didn't have much of a chance. I think I will invest in Battle Taunt for Rohane on this game, because I don't want to take chances on Terask II. With my current skill set, I can put a maximum of nine skill points towards it.

Yeah, overleveling for Hubrid is really great x) I fought him on level 50 or something for my Insane game, and it wasn't so bad. I don't really like Taunt, though xD I almost never use it, so it's pretty much a waste of points.

It's not exactly a walkthrough, but it has maps, guides to boss fights, and information on all the monsters and NPC's to be found in the game, so you could try that.

I don't really like Taunt, though xD I almost never use it, so it's pretty much a waste of points. I'd only be using it for one fight, but considering it's the last boss, I don't want to be taking chances. The Faerie Thief already gave me a scare; I just fought her for the second time and she stunned Velm, allowing her to knock his HP into the red. So I'd rather be safe than sorry. I think I'm going to put some points towards Damage Shields for Mipsy also, just for the Terask II battle.

It takes Mipsy so long to cast haste that I want her to start attacking immediately after, and by the time I get to Faerieland, she's no longer using Damage Shields unless she really has nothing else to do.

Well, I just put four points towards Taunt and used it in the last battle with the Faerie Thief, and whether it helped or not, it definitely made me feel safer. So for the peace of mind alone, I think I'm going to invest more into it. Well, I want Damage Shields mainly just for the last battle; I figure anything that gives me the option of making Terask II take more damage is nice to have. I've never used Damage Shields before, but I get the idea they'd be very satisfying. Do you usually use Group Haste in the last battle? I seem to recall that although in every other boss fight I just use Group Haste, the Terask II fight really does call for potions, but my memory is shaky. I know you can use Group Haste against him and that makes you waste less turns, but I seem to remember that the extra speed of potions does really help.

To tell the truth, I've never used haste potions. Not once. I've always used Group Haste in battles, mainly because all my characters get hasted with one click (and it gives Mipsy a sense of usefulness XD). Even with Terask II, I use Group Haste. It's partly because it would take too long for each character to drink a potion, hit about three times, and then have to waste another turn hasting themself again. However, some people like hasting Rohane and Velm with potions, Mipsy and Talinia with GH, as Rohane hits hardest and Velm needs to heal. I personally find this waaaay too complicated and stick with Group Haste all around xD

Yeah, but they're also very expensive xD I don't want to spend thousands of gold countering slowing spells that are cast practically every random-encounter battle. *dives into the convo* Misty's Group Haste is enough to deal with all the Slowing in ordinary monster battles. I've never went through a game without using Haste & Slow potions against the bosses though. (After weapon and armor upgrades, I always splurge on the potions, because it's not like I'll be using the gold for much else. XD) However, her spell does last a while longer than the haste potions, so if she isn't busy I always cast it anyways so that 38% haste acts like a buffer of sorts before I can get the character to drink another potion. When I got GDD instead of DD for my last game, I ended up stocking up on loads of damage potions too. Sure, they can be resisted often, but it's not like Mipsy's magic isn't resisted over half the time late game...what do you guys prefer?

Sure, they can be resisted often, but it's not like Mipsy's magic isn't resisted over half the time late game...what do you guys prefer? I do use slow potions against bosses, which I think I forgot to mention before xD I just don't use haste potions. It's a pain to haste EVERYONE and then it lasts for all of 20 seconds, needing for me to redrink potions and waste another round of turns. But slowing potions, those I use--they last at least 20~30 seconds and only requires one potion thrower--Usually I use Mipsy for potion throwing, because by the time I actually do use potions against bosses, her magic is largely resisted by them anyways. Regarding DD/GDD, I actually like both xD DD has higher chance of being resisted, but GDD takes longer to cast. I like DD because Mipsy gets to cast it more often (and Mipsy's my favorite, so it's always fun to see her name pop up on the screen), but when I do use GDD, I don't get Multiple Targets for Talinia. It's sort of... overkill, I guess. There's already a way to hit all the monsters, so why bother? GDD is more consistant than Multiple Targets anyways. But what does bother me about GDD is that it's weak against Combat Focus. With Obliterate (or even, Vaporize, Destroy, Eradicate, Disintigrate), it's quite easy to take down a focused monster. I take my skill levels up to 11 only, in the case of having weapon bonuses xD Exception being Talinia's Increased Bow Damage and Shockwave, as her second to last bow as +5 on those. /end ramble

Zombom emits a mighty roar of pain, and falls to one knee. "I never... never should have..." he gasps. "Adelan... I betrayed... my master... unhappy about this... aghh..." He slumps to the ground, dead. All around you, skeleton warriors crumble into dust, and the ghostly spirits evaporate away. The tower is still ruined, but it is no longer haunted. Behind where Zombom lies, you see a magical teleporter.
