Ugh, all the monsters in the Meridell cave (whatever it's called) seem to enjoy knocking Rohane's HP down to 20 and then only giving me about 50 exp.
*uses more healing potions*

So almost after a year of leaving my NQI game, I revived it last night xD And I was immediately confused with what I was doing. I thought I had to go to Jungle Ruins, but after almost making my way there, I looked at my inventory and I had the rusty medallion from that Scaleback guy. So apparently I finished all that =D And now I'm on my way to the Temple of Roo and getting new equips and all that.
*prefers NQII greatly* XD

NQII is exciting! I'm almost at King Terask now and just got a Bow of Destiny for Talinia from a Pant Devil.

I don't like him, he's pretty tough >_> Before, I battled him and got his health down to SEVEN, and he healed himself up back to 200. That sucked. XP But yay, I can continue now! ^_^ EDIT: Something Has Happened! You are now eligible to use 'NeoQuest - Wise and Powerful' as an avatar on the NeoBoards! Yaaay! ^__^ |

How the Hell are you supposed to defeat Archie at level 32 when he:
- Stuns for three rounds
- Deals 50 damage on a lot of turns
- Has 200 HP and can heal 80 as often as he likes.
RAWR! *rages* And people told me he'd be a pushover, well now I've wasted half an hour trying to whittle down his HP when he just keeps HEALING! I lost most of my healing potions trying to stay in the green in case I got stunned for THREE ROUNDS! And now I've been sent back to NC so I have to walk all the way back to the Temple of Roo, through the temple itself and all the way back to Archie, and probably another butt-kicking.
;_; I'm tired.

I beat the Archmagus of Roo at around level 45... With a staff from the ruins because back then, I didn't know a thing about Neoquest so I just assumed you get weapons from somewhere. Archie was a piece of cake. ;D

I didn't actually know they would reset it. I used to leave mine alone for months.
I'm currently trying NQI on Insane (did I say that here already? Probably). Currently up to level 9 and down to the lower temple in the Dank Cave, fighting... blumaroo skeletons.

I didn't actually know they would reset it. I used to leave mine alone for months. I seem to recall an editorial question about that, which said that NQ games reset after a year. *digs it up* Yes, here it is: I read about this a while back and had been coming back to check on my NQI game every so often so it wouldn't get deleted, but it seems that the time finally came when I let it go for too long. But I was only on Level 20 or so, which I don't find too painful a loss. In other news, I've defeated the Spider Grundo and am leveling for the Four Faeries. I keep overleveling for the bosses and being very nervous about fighting them, but then I end up breezing through without taking much damage. The Spider Grundo kept resisting my slowing potions, so I finally gave up on them entirely, and it turned out I didn't even need them anyway. I prefer Group Haste to hasting potions also, even in most boss fights. Edit: Well. Frankly I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. |
