Today I found the Blue Kacheek Morphing Potion in Kauvara's that I'd been desperately searching/saving up for, aaaaaand... ...Someone beat me to it. Darn. :/ I find with those items that restock its easier and less frustrating just to save up the NP for it. It takes awhile longer and is still frustrating but at least it won't be snatched from you after patiently waiting for it to restock. =/ Sorry to hear that happened to you. It's all good. Thanks though! And yeah, I've been doing both, haha. It's one of those "WOW 1,000,000,000 is a lot on the TP, but it never restocks" situations, haha. Either way it's gonna be a pain.

What do you want the blue kacheek MP for? A customization or a mishap fix from the lab ray?

In short, I really liked the way I developed one of my pets into a character of his own, being a socially awkward and quiet, yet friendly and not off-putting, Moltaran tinkerer. The issue comes with my own personal logic: he's a Kougra, a quadrupedal pet with giant paws. Not the best to be doing deft displays of mechanical ingenuity. So I just wanted to make him a Kacheek, haha. That and I think it fits not just the occupation, but the personality better.

Well, hopefully it's only 1,000,000 (million) instead of 1,000,000,000 (billion), but in any case--you could always check the Battledome board to see if anyone has a Kacheek Flour they'd be willing to lend to you. It's a very rare battle item that turns a pet into a Blue Kacheek (which is popular because it has a cheap species-specific healer item) and if you can find someone that has it, you might be able to get a Kacheek for free. Since it's a fragile item (as a hefty investment on the lender's part, you reeeeally don't want to break it), though, there's a certain method, linked above--most importantly, DO NOT use the flour but rather allow the lender to steal it (eg. with a Sticky Hand) and attack your pet with it. It's a fairly low chance of working (10%, so it may take quite a few rounds of battle) but, again, it could be free if you find someone willing to lend.

Another thing you could do, if you can't find a lender, is to buy a Kacheek Transmogrification Potion and then use one of those free starter paint brushes if you have one on a side account somewhere. Even if you don't have a starter pb, the Blue Paint Brush and transmog potion combined are still cheaper than the Blue Kacheek MP.
There are eight Kacheek transmog potions on the TP right now. The lowest listed price is 780k, but you could probably get it for cheaper; some of the sellers seem pretty eager to sell.

I actually hadn't heard of the Kacheek Flour. I was familiar with the Chia variant, but not Kacheek, haha. I'll try this! It sounds like a good idea! I also didn't think of the Transmorg. Potion. That's also cheaper, haha. That'll be my back up! Thanks guys!

Update: Someone on the BD Board told me that stealing items aren't working right now, so the safe way of getting the Flour back doesn't work...darn. :/ Ah well, time for the transmorg!

Aren't there some quadrupedal pets who use their front paws as hands though? What about Fairweather that archeologist xweetok from the Lost ISle? Makes sense though.

Aren't there some quadrupedal pets who use their front paws as hands though? What about Fairweather that archeologist xweetok from the Lost ISle? Makes sense though. It's complicated as TNT has never really explained why the Neopet WE have are like the animals they're based on (some being quadrupeds) while in stories and other places around the site we see characters of a quadruped species walking bipedal and using their front legs as normal hands. There are many idea, all being head canons since TNT allows for artistic license in stories. My personal theory is that any quadruped species can walk on all four or on two feet, it's depend what they prefer. Those who prefer to walk on all four most of the time probably ave a stronger connection with their species natural roots. Those who choose to be bipedal have probably become more urbanized, living in places where just being bipedal all the time makes things easier. Now a quadruped can stand up like a biped if it needs to and use their front legs as hands to pick up things, interact with buttons/levers, etc., it's just that they prefer to walk on all four. Likewise a quadruped that walks like a biped can easily switch to being on all fours if it needs to for some reason. The trade off of walking on all four instead of bipedal is that they're more faster, agile, and less likely to fall. I like to imagine my Neopets all walk bipedal (I have a Lupe, Bori, and Wocky) however if they ever need to get somewhere in a rush they will revert to being a quadruped. I also imagine if a quadruped is carrying anything the either put it in their mouth, on their back, or have brought a back with them to put it in (or leave it behind, but I would think a Neopets who's naturally a quadruped would have found a way to carry things without needing to leave anything behind). That or remain as a biped and accept the lost of speed as being able to carry something. Using my Neopets as an example again, I'd imagine my Lupe would be the kind that if he can he'll put what he's carrying in his mouth but if not he'll just run as a biped. My Bori is the smart one of the family and probably is sure to bring backpack and bags with him at all times. My Wocky is somewhere in between, she'll only bring a bag of something if she knows she's going out to get something but otherwise if she gets something and needs to run she'll remain a biped and if she REALLY needs the extra speed she'll try to balance what she has on her back, in her mane, or just leave it if it's nothing important.

That seems like a pretty convincing way to see the whole issue. Makes sense too I think.
