Here's another one- So you get A's in English. Suuuuurrrre .... I didn't know they called it "English" and not "Language Arts" before eigth grade, check to see that your school even gives letter grades, I somehow doubt you're old enough for that.

LOL! Hahaha, I agree, chatspeak makes a person look..well, stupid. I think those people just proved it. And thanks for the article, hopefully some people are aware of its annoyance now.

CHAT SPEK IZ TEH KOOLZ! ITZ EZE 2 RIGHT 2 PPLZ WIF IT!!11 U R NOT KOOL CUZ U DUN LIKE IT!!111 You'd be suprised at how old some people can be and still use chatspeak! I know 17 year olds who do it (it makes my very flesh crawl) and some other people who do as well (the horror of it all...). What was the point of that? ...I don't know x.x;

Bu chatspek iz da bom! I use it on AIM because if I don't it takes too long to write otherwise. And since I'm 15, everyone expects that if I don't use chatspeak, then I must have typing classes. And if they think I have typing classes, then they think I can type fast (which I can't.) And now I'm just rambling. The worst example of chatspeak I've seen is in my guild. One guy insists on always using chatspeak, never uses punctuation, and often turns on caps lock for an entire message. The title is almost always "WOOOOT" or "i have idea", then the message has no sense of spelling or is three words long. He once posted something like, "Cmn ppl ths i stoopit". I think I fell off my chair laughing at all the possibilities so many abbreviations lead to.

Here's one more little gem - I'd like to note, while I didn't change any of the words or spelling, for this one I did rearrange the order of what's said to make it more clear for the viewer. I guess this person was just being "creative Also the majority of my mail is posistive, so I don't mind getting a few of this kind of mail.

Yes, chat speak is on such a high, creative level that we just can't understand it!
That must be it. ^_^
