None of the above, as in:
"How do U draw UR comix? Cn U draw 1 4 me?"
"Erm, sorry, but someone else does the drawing, I just write the script."
"K'bye!"
End of Neomail.
heh.

I haven't done any short stories or comics, but I've done serieses and articles. My first couple articles got millions of neomails...unfortunately, they were published while I was at music camp, and I nearly died of a heart attack when I got home and logged on to find my articles had been published. Anyway, for more of my articles, I didn't get as many neomails...except perhaps for my latest one which illicited much response because I finaly decided to put a Neomail link at the end. My first series got one or two neomails, and my otherf series got about zero, so I said articles. I think it would be articles or comics because those are what most people read. Many don't bother with the fiction...as a matter of fact, I don't read much of it either just because of time. I just go through and pick out the stories that look interesting to me.

I've gotten some replies for the very few short stories I've done. Barely any of them have been in chatspeak, though ;D

it was my experience that, though I generate quite a few replies for my comic, the ONE article I managed to get in got the most attention. I think the thing is most people who only read the NT casually read the articles, look at the comics page for a minute and go "Feh" and walk away

If you look at the NT from most read section to least read section, it's obvious to see why each is read as much as they are. Comics and articles are the quickest and least invovled, so they get read the most. Then short stories, because they're much longer and more involved. Finally, the least read section being series, because it's somewhat of a commitment to read aseries. At least, that's the order the response is recieved in, who knows if that's the actual order they're read in. -Noremac9

I've only written articles, but I find myself swamped every time I get in. What kills me is how few hatemails I've gotten lately.
HTR 3: 100 + replies, 3 hatemail HTR 4: About 100 replies, 1 hatemail HTR 5: About 60 replies, 0 hatemail(so far)
Turning a total 180 since I started at the NT.
(EDIT: hehe....my 200th Post)

People who read comics either alugh or not, but articles are always open for comments.

All my series put together (about 11? parts in all) = 1 mail I couldn't understand. All my short stories put together = about 7 mails. My single article on Neopian Times Day = 80+ mails. That just about sums it up.

In general I get the most feedback for my articles. I think as has been said, comics may be the most-read section, but few people feel the need to respond to them (although I sometimes get one or two responses). Articles is probably the second most-read section, but people feel more inclined to send feedback or responses on them. And the rest just pretty much don't get as much attention or feedback. Still, I've had an article that got no feedback at all and I've also had a few select stories and a series that got tons of feedback-- enough to almost rival my most popular articles.

I've been all around the board. Two of my series, I'm Innocent and A Kiko Christmas Story: Transcribed got no neomails. But my Time Twisters series (all three of them) have gotten me quite a few.
My short stories do well too. I get a few neomails, and they're good. Not many, even when it's on the fornt page.
My comics (all 2 of them!!!) have gotten some neomails. They're not amazing, especially art wise, so I can't blame them for not getting too many. But the responses are fairly popular, except when I dissed Aishas. I don't hate them!!!
But articles seem to get the most. I don't know why, but they do. Paint Brushes: Neopia's Biggest Mystery got a whole load of them, from people who thought I either might have 'stumbled onto something' or they reminded me it was just a game. The article I recieved the most mail from was Must... Splurge... (no relation to the bladder of a pig) because it was on the front page. Some people only read the stuff on the front page and not anything else.
