Ooh, this sounds interesting. Darn it that all of the comics get the spiffy collaboration ideas! I'll just sit and look forward to it with my non-comic-artist self. I'll do a writing thing with you! If you want, I'll use Shankly Holmes (even though he's not THAT well known, but still pretty well known (91 neomails for part 3......wow)

I'll join in, but i have no female characters to offer. Apart from Eraelin and she's not in any of my comics.

Sokay...put down the names of who you'd like to offer up Well, Wolf and Reallyconfused are both guys and the main characters of mine... but if there is a shortage of females I kinda like the "all writing to one girl" idea...

Okay! Here's who I'm willing to offer (I plucked a few from comic and a few from my stories to give a bit of variety to whomever suffers through my characters, cause it sounds like petpets and pets alike will be in this): Alexander T. Chia: World Famous Lupologist! Moderately rich! AND a collection of Lupe Hair! What could possibly be better than bachelor number one? Stenchpaw Lupaire: He...er...uh...can speak fluent French! Hollypaw Pounder: Send this lovely grinchy lupess your message of love and she'll be happy to break your heart! (and a few teeth. ) From my world-loathed comic: Fluffy the Cobrall: Suave, sophisticated, loves music, and looking for a girl to groove with! Oh yeah, baby! Happy Chip the Meepit: He's kind of scary, but he's really quite emotional once you get to know him. Dharma the Angelpuss: She only appeared in one Fluffy comic, but she's due for a comeback! (plus, the government requires I have at least one female character ((I'm joking )))

I figure the best way to do this is this:
1. People offer up characters for the next couple days.
2. People will each do ONE comic (if you have more than one main character in your comic, unless you can squeeze them all writing their letters and the recievers' reactions onto one page, just choose one to write and send a note). I'd hate to drown Felicia in four or five comics from each of us x.x Hrm...that means I have to decide whether it'll be Rose or Dr. D sending out a note... O.o
3. When all the participants are listed (I'll make a note on the topic saying when participant submissions are closed), Post on here with your top four choices of who you'd like your character to write to. I will make note of them all and I will get Dave to draw names for the more popular requests...that way not everybody is writing Al or Moo love letters and nobody feels left out.
4. In the event we end up unevenly matched and there's not enough girls to write to, some participants might end up having to write to the same character. (so it won't be an error of judgement if C. Poogle recieves a note from two different suitors in the strips, for example).
5. My aim is to get at least one character from each person paired up with another person and then eliminating the extra submissions. Then nobody is accused of being a spotlight hog or anything.

How does one get in on this gig?
Unfortunately, I'm introducing a whole different set of pets this week, and only one of them is female (a cloud gelert) and the other two male. Wouldn't know if I could be on any help.
But it does sound like fun.
OR do the Shakespeare thing and have the wrong letter go to the wrong person and watch the fireworks fly.

*kicks self for being slack on making a comic* The annoying thing is I know exactly how one of my characters would react.

I'm going to be meeting with my collaborator (the person who is illustrating the comic that I'm writing) tonight, and we'll see what we can do. The characters are probably going to be mainly two of my pets, two of her pets, and the two of us. So I may have a girl to offer. (Even it will be close to the debut episode.)
