I have some pretty odd dreams/nightmares. For instance, this time of year (strep throat season, which is why I am home right now) I get really terrible dreams that constantly wake me up. And during the summer I get odd dreams too. They're always so realistic... and then they slip into the insane... the crazy stuff that haunts me. I dunno, I guess my sub-concious is just weird like that.
Oh, and I'm still grounded from Neopets. Possibly from all external stimuli soon... my parents are that angry. All external stimuli, maybe even including going home (simply put, they want to send me to a really strict boarding school very far away... I'd better start working harder at my current school)

Heh...I've had *very* odd dreams.
I had a dream kinda like that once...I was really thirsty and there were water fountains all around, but I was too short to reach most of them, and the rest were otherwise unavailable...other people were drinking, or the water pressure on them was blasting a hole through the wall...until I finally found one I could jump high enough to reach. But then my mom said I wasn't allowed to drink from it because if I jumped at it I'd get germs.
One of my evillest dreams was one where, among other things, we had to do an assignment in band that had something to do with traveling around and taking photographs of letters. I was almost finished, and then I found out I was doing it wrong, and then the buses left without me because the doors were on the wrong side of the bus. When I woke up, my first thought was: "Oh, no, I'm failing band!" Next: "It's summer. I have all summer to finish it!" (I was also contemplating cheating, I'm ashamed to add.) After that: "Oh, duh, it's summer--I'm not failing band! There's no homework!"
Yeah...those two are some of my tamer dreams. I've had waaaaay weirder.

After that: "Oh, duh, it's summer--I'm not failing band! There's no homework!" Sometimes, during a light sleep, I can sort of control my dreams. Sometimes I even hit "rewind" and go back and "edit" them like I would a daydream. Sometimes I'm still doing this even after I wake up and don't quite realize that I am awake. And sometimes I was having an interesting dfream and woke up at a bad point and so prod the part of myself that had written a dream into writing an ending for it, though the results are seldom satisfactory. Other times, I do what you did: I wake up and try to cope with whatever I dreamed about for a while before realizing that it was just a dream. That usually happens after dreams where one or more of my pets die. Other times there are these little parts of my dreams that stick with me without my knowing it, and it is sometimes years later before some sort of relating stimuli bring them up again and I all of a sudden realize that it was a dream. And sometimes during a bad dream I know that I am dreaming and close my dream-self's eyes and then attempt to open my real-self's ones. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, at sometimes I "wake up" into a second dream. In the last instance, I sometimes believe that I am awake and sometimes know that I am still dreaming. It's all really very weird.

My li'l sis says she does it most of the time and nearly always knows she's dreaming, so she can do things like send herself to Hogwarts (since it's all in her head), and if she starts to have a nightmare, she can turn the monster into a frog or whatever. I think that'd be neat. I don't usually have nightmares, and when I do they're usually funny when I wake up, but don't you hate the kind of waking-up where you feel like you're falling and it takes you a second to realize you're safely lying in bed?

For the past week, I've been dreaming of Neopets. I'm starting to scare myself... Playing Banana Solitaire (don't ask) with a drunk Shadow Shoyru or getting lectured by a yellow Skeith for doing who knows what is beginning to be normal to me.
I haven't had a decent nightmare in ages. However, I sometimes have dreams that I had when I was 4 and I remember them. I wish I could dream the junkshop dream again... one of my favorites...
But I must confess, one of my earliest dreams that linked even remotely to Neopets were about an year ago. When I dreamed I met Al. Spooky... he had blue hair.
