M'kay, so in response to these skipped comic updates, I went ahead and did a couple things. One, I sent a question to the Editorial asking Jade why these skips may be happening, and also pointing out her full inbox (anyone else concerned about the comics feel free to do so as well, to better increase the chances of it getting answered in the Editorial).
Two, I submitted a ticket to Neopets support reporting the same issues, but in greater detail. Once I got my ticket number, I @'d Neopets on Twitter about it, since that seems to be the way people "advertise" their tickets so they get responded to in a timely manner (I also tried messaging their page on Facebook, but I couldn't find any button to do so ;-; ).
I'm hoping at least one of these channels gets some kind of response xD;

It must be record time getting a ticket responded to, as I got a reply the same day that I sent it. Not sure if it was the most helpful answer, though: I replied back asking if they thought this would be a recurring issue in the future or not, plus another note of hey, can Jade maybe clear out her inbox? Guess we'll see if they have the same response time for that. In the meantime, I should probably keep this thread a bit more on topic: June Scarlet - Why does Ink and her despair at how she messed up remind me so much of myself regarding classes? xP But in actuality, it's nice to see that she still is able to move past her mistakes, and that she's not trying to get out of the consequences so much as owning up to what happened. Even moreso that Matt as well could have a second chance! There's a couple panels here where the art is a little funky, like the face palm in panel two or Ink slumped over in panel six, where the body structure is a bit off. Not a big deal there, they're probably both cases where just some adjustments or redraws could've helped.

Alright, one last update on the emails, then I promise I'll stop multiposting x3 So basically, it could maybe happen again in the future, but who can really say. Not the most reassuring thing, considering that if the editor- the one whose job at the very least is to publish the NT properly- can only "try their best" and there's still no guarantee of things being as they should, well. But I also have a feeling this is the most of an answer I'll get, so I probably won't keep pressing. And to a degree I can understand, seeing as Rico (the one answering me) is basically just the middleman; that's what happens when you can't get a direct answer from the one actually in charge of things. Blueysicle Oooh, now I'm hoping the Earth Faerie gets some good character moments, I'd love to meet her as a personality versus just the mysterious force she is right now. Although I can see it going either way really, as Faeries in Moltara was originally introduced as a very alien idea, so it'd make sense atmosphere-wise if she remained the mystical presence she is now.
There's a bit of a gap in my knowledge, I think- since Jacenty was once Frazer's subordinate, and he's always known about his true nature, what was he doing in the years since leaving the Sway and now? If Wingen in the meantime got close enough to Jacenty to consider him a role model, did Frazer know about this? Did he know about any of the other characters' relationship with Jacenty?

Twillie : In the first draft of the story, I had it so that the earth faerie would remain completely silent and hidden away until the moment she makes a physical appearance, with her destruction of Pillar Grove's amber being her one act of interference in the meantime. That was more or less for the reason you stated: for the sake of mystery and atmosphere. But as I began my rewrites, the idea of the earth faerie waiting around and doing next to nothing while her sister is being used as a living battery just didn't sit right with me. Thus, that's how the end of this part and much of the next part came about. Also, on the subject of the earth faerie actually appearing, it will happen in this series, but it'll be a while, so just be patient. Ah, so more or less what happened is that while Jacenty worked for the Sway first and foremost, he served as a mole in the Seekers to get information on them. When the Sway's leadership started to become fed up with Jacenty after failing a high-profile assassination, he was "assigned" to accompany the branch of the Seeker's that eventually wound up Moltara and eventually report back on their activities. (That's in quotation marks because -unbeknownst to Jacenty- the Sway just wanted to get rid of him. ) Frazer was unaware of any of that until Jacenty's assistant, Mr. Oren, approached him and revealed where his true loyalties are. As for Wingen, he met Jacenty before any of this came to light and wasn't around when it came out. In fact, the reveal of Jacenty's true nature to Frazer and the other Seekers didn't happen until shortly after Wingen had left Central Cavern. (In a nutshell, even though Wingen was treated well by the Seekers, he was afraid that they'd turn on him once they learned about his slow-aging curse -like everyone else had up until that point- so he ran away as soon as they began asking why he wasn't growing much. The place he ended up afterwards... was a significant downgrade, to put it lightly) It was only a few weeks before this series that Wingen returned to Central Cavern and reunited with Frazer.
Dimitri also met Jacenty when he was under the impression that he was just the Seeker's head botanist, and only moved to Moltara several years after the Seeker's learned the truth. Before Frazer learned that Jacenty was a member of the Sway, they had already worked together in the Seekers for many, many years. So learning what kind of person Jacenty really was stung quite a bit for him. He didn't want Wingen or Dimitri to go through that same sort of pain; and with Jacenty being presumed dead after escaping Central Cavern and fleeing to Moltara's surface, Frazer thought it better to let them keep their happy memories of Jacenty and not say anything. Of course, that turned out to be a big mistake, and a decision Frazer wishes he didn't make now that he knows the things Jacenty is willing to do for the sake of the Sway and his own ego.

Twillie : You're very welcome! (And thank you for the feedback. I keep forgetting to say that - guess that's what happens when I write my replies late at night when I'm about ready to fall asleep. XD)

Alright, one last update on the emails, then I promise I'll stop multiposting x3 Well, that right there is a retcon, because comic series used to specifically be published in every successive issue - that's why they needed to be sent in all at once. That, and for the editor to make sure that the whole series was publishable, otherwise you run the risk of accepting the first entry in a series and then needing to throw it out halfway through because the author started breaking NT rules in the fourth entry. I guess they can leave gaps between parts of a comic series, much like they can leave gaps between parts of written series if they so desired, but... to what end? By rights it should be a slight ease in the workload to already have some future content lined up. Either way, props for investigating further (I only just found these posts now :'D). This feels like a good addition to the Knowledge and Pointers post, seeing how much we swim in unofficial roundabout intel these days.
