Mine were all sent off today! Nearly all of you will see both my printing and my cursive, because I switch somewhat randomly. At lest two of you will get a change from print to cursive in the same line/sentence, even.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I don't have all mine quite finished yet, but between the snowpocalypse that hit last weekend, and then a busy week at work, I haven't had much down time to work on things like I should, let alone get to a post office, alas. </3 But! I for sure have time this weekend and will definitely get them done and ready to be sent out Monday! =D ...So hopefully mine will arrive in time but if not, I'm really really sorry D: dang nature and work...

Been working on more cards today! I should be sending off cards for the assorted Brits and Europeans Monday, Tuesday at the latest (since for Monday I would need to go before work, since I don't want to encounter the mile-long queue in my lunch break AGAIN.) Also the card for my nan back in NZ...whoops. At least cards are usually pretty fast. Oh, and Thundy's card arrived! =D I loved the little illustration of Prometheus, thanks Thundy! When a couple more come in I'll get a photo of them together to post here.

I nearly finished my cards! and then there was work, and then I nearly finished them again, and then I had to fill in for massage people, and I wanted to get Pretty Stamps, but all the post offices around here just have plain old stamps, nothing pretty for international mail, so I decided to forego the queue and just mail them with the stamp machine today. (Sorry Marianne, you're a fine lady, but the graphics on your stamps are really not worth my queuing.) Today came at last! "Can you do a thing for me," asked my mum? "No mum, I have these cards to mail," quoth I. "The post office is closed today," quoth she. "Today? Today is Saturday!" quoth I. "Well yes, it's the post office," quoth she. "Uhgdghblwblwblbwguhuhh??" quoth I. SOON.

All of these diligently sent cards are making me feel guilty xD Ours are moooostly sent off, the remaining ones will go... well, most probably also Monday, because while we do have outdoorsy mailboxes for the general public to use, I don't especially want to entrust Shiny Forumer-bound Cards to their tender care and anyway they probably won't be emptied before Monday.
On the plus side, I've found that cards move pretty fast around Christmas; this isn't the first rodeo for the postal services, they know that their workload goes up around this time.

After a little bit of drama, all my cards bar one are finally on their way! And I'll send the final card tomorrow- international peeps were sent about a week ago, so you should all receive your cards in time!
I will try and post some pictures tomorrow of the lovely cards I've already received from Thundy and Celes as well. <3

Mailed it.After a little bit of drama, all my cards bar one are finally on their way! Were we mailing them at the same time?! Nemesis! xD Now I just need to sit and hope that everything goes right and I wrote the things in the right places for the various machines to read - while I was writing the addresses, my hands were shaking! (Hi, I'm Liou and I hadn't used snail mail in ten years probably.) Also, feels too big, cards too small.

Our last cards were shipped off today as well =D My handwriting is kind of funky (I also have a few different ways of writing different letters which seem to vary at random) and cultural differences crop up in the darndest places (did y'all know that there's regional variation to writing 1 and 7?) but honestly I have a fair amount of faith in the postal system. besides, if I could decipher the handwriting of my students back in the day, they should be able to decipher our addresses.
Also got a Thundycard today =D With a Star Wars stamp to boot. Pictures will follow.
Technically I should give one more round of tag-pokes today as promised, but it's starting to feel kinda superfluous because everyone already seems to be well on the ball with this thing. So *waves in everyone's general direction* just continue being the excellent people that you are ^^

Dang, guys, I feel like a CHEATER. I printed out the addresses and then pasted them on the envelopes! XD I felt there would be no way for them to be wrong or hard to read that way. But you'll all get to see my handwriting inside the cards! ^^
In my defense, I also decorated the envelopes, which was probably overkill, haha. And I don't want to disappoint anyone, but I didn't get stamps. ;-; The post office lady printed out labels to stick on them. I'm not sure if it was because I sent them certified. My mom was like "You put a lot of work into these for any of them to get lost in the mail!" which to be honest, I couldn't argue with. XD (By the way, that reminds me... if you see how much I paid for shipping, and it seems excessive to you, do not worry! I promise if you were to convert that to dollars or euros or pounds, it really wouldn't be that much!)

I've had two cards so far, unsurprisingly both from our UK contingent, haha! But oh gosh you guys write so much for your cards, for years I've been writing small amounts and lines for cards with coworkers! But the messages are so lovely, thank you very much and especially for the drawing of Aleksander from Celes and the d20 from Thorn!

I finally was able to get my cards in the mail today. 8'D This week has just. been suuuper busy and I vastly underestimated the amount of free time I'd have to get things done </3 But! They're in the mail! My receipt said that the US folks should get their's this weekend (the 22nd)! =D As for y'all over the pond and beyond... hopefully soon. ='D It didn't give an estimated arrival date. </3 Maybe we'll get a Christmas miracle and they'll arrive quickly? (Oh, and if for some reason said cards arrive damaged or whatever in any way, let me know and I will gladly send a replacement. ^^)I also give my sincere apologies for being so late in getting them out. ^^; (Life, man...) That said... Twillie ! I got your card yesterday! =DDD It's beautiful and gave me all sorts of warm fuzzies, thank-you <3 (It's also actually the first card I've gotten so far, and is now proudly hanging in the first spot on the little Christmas-card "clothesline" display I have above my desk. =3)

@natthewriter Birdy Yayyy, I'm glad to hear the cards made it through the mail successfully! =D You're welcome and thank you, I tried my best with them ^^ (And aww, I love that Birdy! =D) I also received Allison's card today, it's so cute!! ^^ (I love how even the envelope is themed too, aww!) Thank you so much =D I'll probably provide pics once I get most or all cards! And as people start getting theirs, I want to explain a little something that I included in most of mine. A lot of you will see a little lantern or two in a corner of your card, along with some text next to it. Each card says the same thing, but everyone has a unique styled lantern! (also, that saying is not from anything, I just made it up xD) In my continuing research, I found that lanterns can be a tradition for winter solstice celebration, representing a key part of the holiday: light. Winter solstice back in the day celebrated the coming of spring, as it was the shortest, darkest day of the year, meaning that after that night, the sun and longer days would be slowly returning. Thus, the lanterns I included in the cards are well wishes for your own coming spring, literally and metaphorically. I also made mention to the present, though, because while the solstice traditionally has been to celebrate warmer days, I think winter is also a season worth celebrating while it's here. We all hope for a bright future, but it's also nice to see the good we have now. So, the lanterns provide light not only to guide you to spring, but to help shed light on good or happiness that may be hidden on even your darkest days. For those that asked for secular cards, I didn't include the lanterns and saying specifically, but I still added in something that represented some kind of light, either literally or metaphorically, to give a similar sentiment :3 Basically, a wish for happiness upon you all!
