I finally got around to submitting the short story that didn't get into the last collaboration a while back. I forgot about it, but then recently realized that it's been a couple of weeks since my submission, with no response.
What's the typical response time nowadays?

In my experience, it's usually around a week or two after the date of submission. Though, I have heard stories of one other person who, after waiting for a whole month, never got a response back. Response time may vary for some.
But its not uncommon to not hear from the editor after submitting an entry. In that case, you can just contact the NT editor directly through neomail and she should respond promptly. It's possible your entry may have gotten lost in the sea of submissions, which can happen.
Did you receive a letter stating your entry was on hold by any chance? Or did you just submit it back then and didn't hear back?
