Previous Dares threads:
Want to boost your word count? Shake up the story with a plot-quake? Just jump outside the jack-in-the-box altogether? If so, then this might be the thread for you! Take on a dare to turn your story upside down. Dares are a fun way to tap the tree of creative fruit juice. There's a traditional format for dares, although you aren't required to use it: Dare BP = Bonus Points DBP = Double Bonus Points TBP = Triple Bonus Points Example:

Dare: Decide what would be the worst thing to happen to your character according to their ideals and what they want. Then have that happen to them... On that character's own volition and intent. Bonus: They know exactly what they're doing when they do it. Double Bonus: If it's for a poor reason.
Dare: Include a snippet of a character's poorly-written self-insert fanfic. Bonus: Have this somehow impact the plot. Double Bonus: If this fanfic is actually based on real events in the plot. Triple Bonus: The fanfic is quite literal to those real plot events. Perspective may vary, but there's no embellishments.
Dare: Include a rapping dog. Create your own rap.
Dare: Have a bird regularly make and tend a nest in one of the character's hair. Bonus: The character pays it no mind. Double Bonus: Nor does anyone else. The other characters treat it as completely normal.

Dare: Give your srsface character an embarrassing guilty pleasure. Bonus: That other characters in the story find out about. Double Bonus: And tease them mercilessly for until they learn to laugh along with everyone and take themselves less seriously.

Dare: Using a site like dictionary.com, take their "word of the day" and use it in your writing that day. Bonus Points: You do it every day, no skipping.

Dare: Have a character attempt to confess to their love interest. Love interest responds as if it's a job application and asks the character to come for an interview. Bonus: The interview actually happens and it's treated entirely as you would expect from a job interview. Double Bonus: It culminates into a serious relationship.
(Thank Killix for the conversation that led to this.)

(Thank Killix for the conversation that led to this.) is it a bad thing that this exact situation happened in my stories once i write very weird "romances." mostly for the lulz.
