Well here’s an EOI from me, but I’ll leave it as nothing more than an EOI at this stage. (Mostly because Naelus)

I'm not the best person to weigh in on this, because I read fast - if a book takes me more than a day then I'm not finding it very interesting. So I've never been too fussed about the length of things I read, it's more important for me that the story is the right length for what it is. Things that meander ooon and ooooon and ooooon for the sake of being verbose don't impress me much (ahemLordoftheRings) but I won't like a big fantasy epic squeezed into a 1,000 word essay either.
In other words, I don't mind either way, am likely to aim to finish whatever is provided regardless of a cap, and will happily go with the most other-participants-friendly of options (in other-other words, I'm not being very helpful here xD) But for the sake of argument, it might be smart to lean towards less rather than more reviewable content at least for now, so that everyone doesn't bite off more than they can chew, get burned out and subsequently freaked out at the reality of the workload, and then we'll never pull something like this off ever again. Better to have smaller pieces with smaller reviews to wet our feet and then we can gateway-drug ourselves to reading big fantasy epics by round three, amirite?
(or maybe not :'D)

hmm okay a tagapocalypse but this time those already in the event are safe Gelquie Reiquaso I know GLQ said it would depend on ... stuff whether she wanted to participate. But I kind of *also* realized that because there's like... one sower left (I think?) naelus is coming to a close soon, probably at or a few days around that aug 15th deadline thingy. Just reminding you that uhhhh that deadline for signing up still exists--if you want to join in a few days after please pm me, otherwise just do your thing or whatever.

We definitely won't be done by August 15th, but probably a bit after- week or so maybe, depending on if the players get the last sower in this election or not. Unfortunately I'm also in the middle of a move so I'm dead exhausted and very distracted, so I probably will have to sit this out- if there's a round two at another time, however, I'd be happy to join that.

Moni - I'm not sure if I'll be able to have a story ready by that deadline. (Maybe I'll have a stroke of luck; we'll see.) However, given the few participants in this circle, I might be able to participate as a reader, so pencil me in for that.

Yeah I'm a bit PANICPANIC too cos my next day off work won't be until the 17th, plus I'm working on Naelus, so the story I want to contribute is unedited trash. If the deadline could be extended, maybe that would help a few people? If not, I can contribute one of two backup stories I've long since given up on. xD

Honestly, I have no problems pushing the deadline a week ahead of *that* many people are going to be affected by it. If I push this to the 22nd, will that be better for you? Thorn, Gelquie, Shinko

I'm afraid none of those dates will work for me. X'D Like I said, I'm in the middle of a move, I'm still working full time, and even once the game is done I'll need a while to recover from the fatigue of it, nevermind having something ready to be critiqued. So don't plan around me, because I will probably not be up for it anytime during August.

I wouldn't mind a delay, but I don't have a huge preference for how far it should be pushed back. It's actually kinda my own fault for not having something ready close to now, given I could've written at points before and didn't. I can't guarantee I'll have a work ready by any of those days because I don't know if anything I write will be good enough by then. It's okay though; I'll still pencil myself in as a reader regardless, for this round.

I suspect that this here is mostly a case of "I'm okay with whatever works for everyone else" on everyone's part and then it's hard to pinpoint what actually works for everyone else xD I voted for keeping the original deadline, solely because I'm not fussed about it either way and my work being what it is, I prefer sticking to original deadlines (grant me an extension and things will immediately get procrastinated to hell). But if it does get pushed back, I'm a-okay with it.
^*infuriatingly unhelpful*

I went ahead and voted for August 24th, although I'm also not too hung up on deadlines. I will say though that I'll be using a different piece of writing than what I had originally said; instead of a comic script, it'll be a roleplay fic, as that will be in much better editing condition than the former.

I voted for the 24th! On that note, I actually managed to do a little editing on my piece this morning, and I think once I unrush the ending it will be unrough enough for this event. =)
