Character profile time! Meet ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Inara the Unicorn *:・゚✧*:・゚✧Basic appearance description: Horse-shaped, but smaller. Pearly white coat and horn that shimmer in an iridescent manner when light hits them. Lilac mane, tail, and hooves. Brown eyes. Skills/Abilities: Her horn has the power to render poisoned water potable, and to heal mild sickness (nothing severe). Reasonably fast runner. (built for speed rather than strength: would not carry heavy loads, but can carry smaller animals and things on her back) Personality: Friendly and cooperative. Likes helping others, and is generally a very trustworthy confidante. Enjoys company, and dislikes being alone. Kind of vain, likes being praised, and will sometimes expect special treatment. Quick to make friends, but also quick to anger for perceived slights. Other Fun Facts: Inara means Illuminating, Shining. I imagine she was born on a full moon night, and she was given that name for the beautiful shimmer of her coat, which is most apparent on bright nights. (Sorry if this is kind of vague and has missing info (what's her age? what's her backstory? I don't know!), I haven't gone too deeply into developing my character, but I hope it'll happen naturally as the RP progresses. I hope this helps give you an idea of who she is, though! )

Inara is gorgeous, Ginz! <3 My friendly, somewhat arrogant lizard would find a lot of common ground with her! xP
I love how subtle but gorgeous you've made her coat.

Character Profile: Kuzen the Kappa Filler Picture Filler Picture Appearance: Has smooth light green skin that is a odd cross between amphibian and reptilian, and a lighter colored belly. Has a darker green turtle shell and a yellow beak like face. Small webbed feet and hands and short limbs. On his head is grass and leaf like "hair" that surrounds a bowl like indent filled with water. Standing about 2 1/2 ft (79cm) when standing on two legs and 1 1/2 ft (48cm) when on all fours. Skills/Abilities: Swimming (pretty fast when he wants to be), breathing underwater, and most things aquatic animals can do in water. Can walk on two legs or on all four. As long as there is water in the bowl on his head, he can be a bit stronger then he appears (probably lift a large rock). He is however, extra weak when he has no water in his bowl. Shell is a bit small, but it's hard. Personality: Very laid back and friendly. Would rather sleep and relax on the water edge munching cucumbers (favorite food). Has a the bad habit of falling asleep during conversations or at bad times. Other Facts: Has a sleeping problem. Has noted all the best cucumber locations on the island.

Without further ado, here is my character! Meet MakellSpecies: Siberian Tiger (Height/appearance wise is that of an average tiger) For most of Makell’s life on Naelus she has been alone, but doesn’t want to be. However, her untrusting nature and sometimes off-putting attitude makes it difficult for her to make friends. She has a few tiger friends around but they have gone off a few months ago to explore the island and she hasn’t seen them since. She is a bit cynical and snappy, but knows she needs to work on her behaviour if she wants to make new friends. She is exceptionally good at hunting for fish and assorted bugs for food, as well as a fast runner in case of danger (or play!).

Here is my characters profiles!
Algernon ("Al" for short) A Rhesus Macaque with light brown/grey fur and a pink face. He has a total height of 53 cm, with a tail length of 21 cm. He weighs 7.7 kg. Algernon's early life was spent as a research animal for New Horizons Pharmaceuticals for an experiment aimed at increasing intelligence. Details of this are sketchy to most of the residents on the island as he mostly keeps to himself, aside from his companion René. He resides in Highwind Woods due to the availability of food and shelter in the trees.
René A Scarlet Macaw with bright red plumage. Body length of 81 cm and a weight of 1.1 kg. Formerly owned by an academic and came to Naelus after his subsequent death. As a result, he and Algernon meet to converse about philosophical subjects frequently and to play chess. His favorite food is apples and has somewhat of a sarcastic streak to him
((art to follow when I get around to it))

More information on Jack: He is, as mentioned, a jackalope. The jackrabbit part of him I'm basing off of the black-tailed jackrabbit. (Dem ears) The antlers are more thin/deer-like. He is a quick-witted free spirit, and leans towards being a trickster-type, which tends to manifest as telling tall tales (like the time he totally caught a ten - no, twelve!! - foot long fish, only for it to ultimately get away after a fierce battle that lasted all night </3), and pulling pranks every now and then (like tricking people into going on a Snipe Hunt with him). So, harmless fun. Nothing that would get someone seriously injured - that's not fun at all. D= He probably has a bit of a reputation for all this, though how well-known it is may be up for debate. (Basically, if you want your character to have possibly heard of this fun-loving jackalope and his reputation for pranks and mischief, that's cool, or if they've never met before in their lives that's cool too! \ o / Feel free to poke me if you wanna work anything out.) So TL;DR, Jackalope who likes pranks and will be uber-fun to slowly break as the potential for him to go from "carefree free-spirit" to "paranoid and scared of his own shadow" as the murders progress and good clean fun, but isn't cruel to the point of injuring someone else. (Also as a side note there are apparently Skvaders on the island as well, which I found out when writing my post. The more you know! Jack also wanted to name one of them but I said "NO" because that's how brooms are made.) (There will also probably be more coming later, we shall see.)

Birdy Mentioned this already, but ooh excited to see more of Jack's antics! =o Perhaps he can keep the other citizens entertained once things start getting more and more serious, lol x3 I also got my own character profiles done! (finally x3) Kasai (PC) Pronounced: Kah-seye Species: Kitsune Gender: Male Skills/Abilities: Lithe and stealthy, kitsune are best at traversing their forest home without detection. They're light and quick on the feet, which comes in handy when both hunting and evading predators. Another hunting tactic that kitsune have they use at night, namely, they are able to light up certain parts of their body to mimic the light of firebugs they like to snack on. They don't always glow at night, so this effect is entirely voluntary to the kitsune. They will mostly light up on the sides of their body and tail tip, the latter best effective in "fishing" out firebugs. Kitsune also have the ability to transform, but as Kasai is rather young (and limited in his knowledge of creatures outside of Naelus), his transforming abilities are also pretty limited. The greatest extent of Kasai's abilities is summoning a pair of large antlers in times of crisis, as they can be used as both attack and defense. On a day to day basis, he usually likes transforming to catch and navigate the winds of Highwind Forest and Overlook Bluff. He does this by making some of his extremities more ribbon-like so that he can quite literally sail through the air (since this description is probably rather confusing, I promise there'll soon be a picture to follow!). He also sometimes likes to do this when meditating, to better feel like a part of his surroundings. Personality:Kasai means "fire," and his personality reflects this in a number of ways. An early riser, once he gets up he's ready to go, and it's hard to get Kasai out of something once he's set his mind to it. He keeps a high energy throughout all of the day, and then effectively crashes once the night comes. Despite this, though, he's also rather introverted, and many of the activities he sets his mind to are independent. Kasai can also be very protective, namely towards Sei, as the two are each others' only family. This protectiveness can come with some impulsiveness too, though, and Kasai can often be the definition of thinking with heart before head. Although he's often confident in the decisions he sets his mind to, it doesn't always mean they're the smartest choices to go with. Relationships:So far I just have Kasai's relationship with Sei. The two are mates and each others' only family; there are no other kitsune on the island, at least none that they've encountered before. Seishin "Sei" (NPC)Pronounced: Say-shin Species: Kitsune Gender: Male Skills/Abilities:Basically the same as Kasai's Personality:Seishin means "spirit," which for Sei mirrors his self devoted and reflective personality. He's much more subdued than Kasai, preferring to take his time in making the right decision and slowing down to take in his surroundings. He's also introverted like Kasai, although much more shy as well. He can worry often and be afraid of meeting with other creatures on Naelus, something that Kasai respects, but can at times wear on him as he's much more eager to go out and be a part of the community. Both Sei and Kasai are superstitious, but Sei even more so. They both enjoy meditating to honor the nature around them and the Spirit, and partake in small rituals for similar reasons. Sei is devoted to bettering his spirit and mind, always valuing self discipline and wisdom to risk taking. Sei is much more of a night owl than Kasai, but often spends his nights in or near the den. Especially with everything that's been going on recently, he's much more hesitant to be out alone for long. Here's also the full size for my profile image, with and without the background:

PC profile time! Dara the tree octopusProfile: Species: Southern Gliding Tree Octopus - Amphioctopus austravolansUnlike its close relative, the Pacific Northwest tree octopus, the Southern gliding tree octopus is already extinct. While these cephalopods live out of water, they do need to stay hydrated, and will spend some time in a pond or river every few days. They make their dens in trees close to rivers. Tree octopuses are very agile climbers who can cling to trunks as well as swing themselves from branch to branch. The Southern Gliding Tree Octopus' mantle can be used to glide between trees like a flying squirrel's membrane, or like a flappy old umbrella carried by a strong wind. Abilities:like non-tree octopuses, Dara has chromatophores which allow them to change colours for camouflage and communication. Their intelligence is spread throughout their arms. All of their suckers can grip individually and taste. Since their beak is the only rigid part of their body, they can squeeze through very small openings. They are very dextrous and adept at handling tools. They got ink. Personality:Dara is curious and likes to play and really really likes new things! They love sharing new things and figuring out which new thing will make another creature's life better. They can climb far up to find the tastiest treats in a tree and enjoy trading these goods to plant-eating creatures. Dara hopes to be helpful enough to stay on friendly terms with larger predators. They are fascinated by other creatures' family dynamics and enjoy spending as much time as possible with families. Being allowed to entertain pups/cubs/kits is the best gift they can receive. They do everything in their power to escape solitude. FAQHello, I'm Dara! I'm a tree octopus, an octopus that lives in trees!
Q: What kind of trees? A: I can climb both deciduous and coniferous, though I do prefer the former. Pine needles are no problem for me, but the taste of conifers' resin is far too strong for my suckers when I run into it.
Q: What do you eat? A: Anything that moves and that's small enough for me to eat. Rodents, tree frogs, bugs. Also, eggs are delectable.
Q: What do you not eat? A: Fish, plants, and spiders. Tree octopuses can eat spiders, but I find it a little strange. I avoid birds because the feathers are a hastle. Though I won't hesitate to get revenge on the puffballs when they mess up my belongings. 8I
Q: What do you enjoy doing? A: Investigating strange things with funny shapes, running them between my arms to taste them, giving interesting things I found to other creatures, meeting families, setting puzzles to challenge myself, rebuilding my stuff when it collapses.
Q: Where mouth?? A: My beak is between my arms. My siphon also helps.
Q: Are you a freshwater or a saltwater animal? A: Yes!
Q: If you don't spend your time in water, does your mantle fill with air instead? A: Hello, I'm Dara! I'm a tree octopus, an octopus that lives in trees!

Hey guys, answering a couple more questions! Q: Can we coordinate our execution votes?A: No. All voting is done in secret, privately. Discussion of votes is disallowed- if you want to influence who is voted on for elimination, you can do so by dropping subtle hints in the roleplay. Q: What about the corrupted players who have a joint vote?A: Same deal. They do not discuss with one another, I just tally all their individual votes and apply the majority to the overall election. Q: Then how do I know who to vote on?A: Good question. And that's on you to work out.

I might as well post some art, even if it's still not colored yet. xD Verso and Recto~ I should note that when I describe Verso as being the head on the left and Recto the head on the right, I mean that as from the perspective of looking at them from the front, rather than from their own perspective. So from the back, it's Recto on the left, Verso on the right: Points of interest: (literally points of interest, hahahaha 8D sorry it's getting late *shot*)- Verso's horns curve upward, while Recto's curve downward. - Verso's spines also curve upward, Recto's downward. - As the necks converge, the spine curves begin to even out, and by the shared body, the spines are perpendicular to the back. - Verso's head is more rounded, while Recto's is more rectangular. *shot again*- The reason I don't have a color ref yet is because a couple weeks ago, I found out that in some parts of ancient China, rainbows were associated with two-headed dragons. And so obviously my muse went, "ZOMG we gotta make them rainbowy!! 8D" And I tried it, but it was overly cluttered; then I tried a plainer coloring, and it was boring. But I think I may've finally found a good compromise, so hopefully there will eventually be a colored reference of these guys. xD Please bear with me. EDIT for colored art, finally! \ o / It's still a little bit rainbow-y, right? xP The idea is there, and it doesn't distract from facial expressions like my first draft did, so I'm happy with it. ^^

Hey guys, just gonna put it out real quick so it's in the open and absolutely clear: the reason I had the murder take place in front of everyone was so that all characters could see that Makell was not in her right mind. It's cool that some folks are arriving late or were at a weird angle and need it explained, but all the same it is required that by the end of the round everyone knows the murderers are not acting of their own volition.
There is a very simple reason for this- the mechanic of the executions. It does not work to execute random bystanders and not the corrupted players if nobody realizes the corruption is a thing. I totally understand why in round one nobody alluded to knowing about it, that makes sense. However, that ignorance can't continue past this round if the story is to work at all.
Hope this clears things up!
