Yeah, I hate to say it, but there's no way I can get something done for this collab at this point. I tried to get something written last night/early morning, but not much progress was made. And even if I did manage to get it done, I just wouldn't feel right submitting something that was rushed through to completion.
I'm terribly sorry. I really did want to participate, but my own laziness and lack of ambition got in the way. There's nobody other than myself to blame for this.

Hey, it's okay. This sort of thing happens. Don't stress yourself about it. I'm sorry you couldn't get something done, but there's always next time.

As expected, my series has begun
Fun Fact: The picture used in this series is the same one used in my debut, Case of the Missing Statue.

I'd planned on writing a story for this issue, because the theme gave me an idea to write a follow-up to my Darkvale story from the Aiopen collab from ages ago. Stupid writer's block.
Plus side, I did manage to submit the Usukicon story that I sat on last year because I didn't think it'd work as well published post-Usukicon -- in July, too. Even got an acceptance neomail, which is apparently rather rare these days.
Which, um. Given the cancelled issue this week, will not appear until after Usukicon.
Ah, well. Maybe if I get cracking I can make the Darkvale one work for Halloween.

Dear Anya, Thank you for submitting to the Neopian Times. Currently your submission (Darkest Corner: Levitate!~) is being held over and may be considered for future publication in the Neopian Times. There is no need to submit your submission again, as it is saved by the editor. Erm, does that mean mine will appear in another issue?
