Hey y'all! I hope I'm posting this in the right area, if not then please let me know! Also sorry about the somewhat confusing title, I wasn't quite sure how to phrase it haha.
So, I figured I would be too late for this upcoming issue, so I wrote an article hoping it'd be considered for next week. I submitted it anyway because I had it finished and knew if I left it sitting I'd inevitably forget about it (the curse of being scatterbrained). I did that at around 1:30 NST, and then at 4:00 NST I got my acceptance letter, which is hands down THE quickest I've ever got a response on any submission. Before that, it was probably about a day and a half-ish.
Which made me curious: what's the quickest time you guys have gotten an acceptance/rejection letter? I'm still waiting on feedback for a 5 part series I submitted almost two weeks ago, but I realize those take longer to go over than a little article does haha.

2 days for Duplicity, which was a 12-part series. I still have my doubts about whether CQ (the previous editor) made a good decision accepting it, pff.
I notice that with Scrappy, her response times can be very inconsistent. It's probably because she's responsible for a lot of other things (that and Jade is probably looking over things these next few weeks, so I anticipate slowdowns.)

Quickest time I got was with my last Blossoms arc. I submitted on a Friday, and then about five minutes later, got a holdover letter xD It took about another five or ten minutes for each of the other parts to get a holdover, so I was still kinda laughing in shock by then x3 The speed can probably be accounted for them being comics, but even then, I was still wondering if CQ had fully read them all before responding xDD

I once went from holdover to acceptance in fifteen minutes. That was for a comic, but I say that's pretty fast. (How long it took from submitted to held over, I forget, I just remember the fifteen minute gap.)
I remember my first series was accepted within 24 hours of submitting it. And I think my most recent series (that I submitted back in May) was either accepted within the same day of submitting or the day after. Then again, when I submitted that series, it was when there were no new series starting over the last few issues before. Series can have a bit of a wait since usually one or two start per issue.
I've had waits across the board when it comes to waiting for acceptances, but those stand out for being pretty short for me.

Can't remember the quickest time between submission and acceptance, but I remember that my three-part epilogue series to Infinity II got accepted within a few hours of being held over. This isn't my own example, but I do recall several years ago hearing that a comic (Specifically this one) got accepted and published on the very Friday it was submitted on.

My quickest was on Ballad of the Faerie's Champion: Stagnation, which I submitted on a Friday, and it got held over on Monday, then was accepted later the same day. XD Given before that point I'd always had at least a two month layover between submitting stuff and it being accepted, I was taken very much off guard.

Moni that's SUPER quick for a series that long! I'm not sure why you don't think CQ should've accepted it, but I'll have to check it out! I'm in the process of trying to read everyone's works, which is quite a daunting task hahahah but I'm interested in seeing what y'all write about! Twillie oh my goodness, that's why your name sounds so familiar!! I used to read your comics all the time before I lost my first account!! That's pretty amazing they all got hold over so quickly; my friend submitted a comic series and when she tried submitting them all in a row so they could have them, they were like, "Why are you sending us so many?" and she's like, "Uh, because they're part of a series ... of comics ..." lol Rabbit ♠ I did think about that--maybe they already have series they're starting and since mine isn't very long they're either waiting to accept it or waiting to reject it. Either way, I'm totally cool with waiting. That's so cool yours got accepted so quickly! It's nice not having to panic and be like, "WAS IT /THAT/ BAD?!" Blueysicle LEGEND. I think my anxiety is too bad to try submitting anything on Friday. That comic is hilarious though, so it probably deserved getting in the same day bahaha. I'll have to check out your series!! Shinko two month wait?? That's insane, oh my goodness??

Shinko two month wait?? That's insane, oh my goodness?? Ha ha, to be fair that was back when the site was still in its heyday and the NTWF trafficked about a few hundred people. I had a long hiatus from Neopets before Stagnation.

I didn't skimp out on word count either, that thing was 10000 words short of being a novel. x) Clearly this means I hypnotized CQ into accepting it. Haha, I remember being in that "READ EVERYONE'S WORK" boat before. xp Now that I'm caught up, it takes me significantly less effort.

Usually a "Part 1, 2, etc." in the titles is a good way to indicate it's a comic series, especially to prevent any misordering of parts :3 I've seen a couple times before comic series with disarranged or even missing parts, although some of them still have Part 1 or 2 in the title, I have no idea what happened there x3;

Twillie basically the editor (I'm not sure who it was at the time) was confused by why she was numbering them, and thought they were the same submission or something goofy like that. She's like, "Uh, no?? That's why they're numbered, because they're different ..." OH NO!! I would be devastated if that happened to me!! I can't imagine taking the time to make a multipart comic, only to have it get messed up or missing parts ... ugh, that's terrible. Hopefully that doesn't happen too often; I just can't see why it would happen in the first place?!

Back when Droplet was the NT editor, I had submitted a series intended to roll through an anniversary issue on a Thursday and on Friday I got the holdover Neomail.

Jae so sorry for the late response!! To have a series accepted that quickly is quite impressive, haha! I'll definitely have to check it out though!

Hopefully that doesn't happen too often; I just can't see why it would happen in the first place?! Oh huh, that's odd xD Do you remember how long ago that happened? I wonder if that was at a time when either serial comics weren't as common at the moment, or perhaps a new editor was taking over and still learning the ropes. But lol, I'd probably be the same way, like "Umm, no..?" I think, at least with the cases I've seen before, entries might be missing or out of order because the author didn't originally submit them at the same time. Sometimes, I've noticed comic series get away with submitting one part at a time (usually when the parts aren't heavily connected), and often it illustrates exactly why that's not a good idea. Part one may get accepted, but then the next part gets rejected, but whoops you also submitted part three which was put in, and now there's Part 1 and 3 but where'd 2 go?? Oh, there it is, after getting edited and resubmitted, showing up the week after Part 3 x3; Also, sometimes mistakes will happen, but I've only seen that kind of situation happen once before (if I'm remembering the situation right, that is).
