Hiya! I'm new here to the forum (even though I joined a year ago...), but never officially introduced myself! I don't really remember how I first heard about this place - probably saw a mention on the boards about the NTWF and then saw it on the Certified Fan Sites list? *shrugs* But I decided to join after I participated in my first collab, Dreams and Nightmares. As you might guess from my avatar, I'm a fan of The Faeries' Ruin plot (especially Hanso xD)! My other Neo obsessions loves are Kaus and Babaas. I love collecting items (so galleries are a big thing with me, and surprise, surprise, I have ones dedicated to Kau & Babaa items and TFR), writing rambling messages like this, NC trading (initially for the aforementioned galleries), writing, coding, and drawing (though I have a hate-love relationship with that last one at the moment). Anyway, if you're also a fan of TFR (fangirl with me!), I have an ongoing personal project of compiling and collecting all the TFR-related content on Neo - right now I'm focusing on NT entries, so I'm sure I've stumbled onto many stories and comics created by you guys here. *wonders if she should insert a shameless plug about where to find said project* Feel free to chat with me! I love writing to people, but I'm usually shy about approaching. And if you're also a fan of Disney and GoT... Well, thanks for reading through all this! Haha.

Hello... charming thievery (though I might eventually call you Hanso for short, he does epitomize the phrase)!
And dude, I have so many good memories from the Faerie's Ruin plot! It's my second favorite plot story-wise. I'd love to see your writing and drawing sometime too (Do you have a link to your stories/art? :--D) (I am a huge fan of parentheticals.)

Haha, I did have him in mind when I came up with the name! xD Do share! I love hearing about people's memories of TFR since I actually missed most of it when it was going on. So I kinda live vicariously through others' experiences of it. I mean, I was able to do all the puzzles (thank goodness TNT left those up for the whole duration of the plot!) and caught the last few updates and steps (Xandra & Oblivion) in real time. But I didn't get to experience the Faerie Festival and the sudden, unexpected petrification of the faeries a few days later (and how exciting that was!). And I missed what the boards were like (must've been fun!) and the first two BD steps & the community step. It pains me sometimes, but I've familiarized myself with as much of what happened during the plot (even dug through the TFR thread on here and read the entire thing) that it *almost* feels like I was there too. x'D But really, the story was what made it for me. I hadn't known what plots were, and this comic had been so engrossing! And I loved Hanso. :3 What's your first favorite plot story-wise? I haven't read all of them yet (my friend and I are slowly going through past plot comics), but after TFR, I wanted to do more plots, so I read through a few comics and got *so* immersed in Tale of Woe's story. ^^ Hmm, I haven't actually created much lately, in terms of stories and art - though the NT is certainly helping to motivate me on that count. Maybe eventually I'll have a nice page with all my work on it...I mean, I do have some places that showcase some of my art, but I'm a little wary when it comes to connecting my IRL identity with Neopets, haha. Even listing my Neo username off-site makes me a little uncomfortable sometimes, ha. But here should be okay! (Right? ) For right now, here's a link to the entries I've managed to get published in the NT! ...Nevermind, there isn't a unique url when you search your username in the NT...UGH. Well, here they are then: Comic | StoryI am also a fan of parentheticals. (Perhaps you could already tell. xD) I hope you won't mind my asking the same of you? To see your work, I mean.

Well, here they are then: Comic | StoryI am also a fan of parentheticals. (Perhaps you could already tell. xD) I hope you won't mind my asking the same of you? To see your work, I mean. Ha! My memories of TFR are actually pretty vague! I remember going after school every week to go and check out the comics and see when the healing springs would be back online. D; I don't thiiiink I was that active on the boards at the time and mostly just stuck to myself reading the comic every week and trying to figure out the puzzles. My big memory was when Xandra crashed Faerieland, haha--because the map had been recently reworked, I didn't think TNT would go through all the trouble of redrawing a map from a meta-perspective, so when they actually did it I was surprised. x) xP And whattdya know, I told myself I wouldn't spend any Faeries' Ruin Plot points until the next proper plot comes out, so I still have my 70-thousand-whatever points unspent in the prize shop. x) My first favorite plot story-wise is Battle for Meridell! Which has been broken for... a few years now, even before the JS acquisition, so it's unfortunately out of service (though its prequel, Champions of Meridell, still worked last time I checked.) D: It has a lot of intrigue despite its relative simplicity, and it totally helps that a lot of my most favorite Neo characters feature in it. I was around for Tale of Woe and the Return of Doctor Sloth !! on my veeery old account, though. I didn't do much in the way of puzzles in either of those; Tale of Woe just went over my little ten-year-old head and the Return of Doctor Sloth had a really... annoying puzzle step in part three that made me throw my computer out the window (figuratively.) Tale of Woe is pretty good though! I think I like it third-best in terms of story. And ahhh! I've read your NT story before for the In The Sky Issue! I think I put together the review thread for that one... if I'd known you'd been part of the NTWF I would have included you there too. >> But yes, I really liked the idea of your story, with Alaina's homesickness for a place that has invariably been changed, and I just love seeing very relatable premises like that with the fantastical world of Neopets pfff. x) Your comic I hadn't seen before, but it's adorably creepy. I never did wonder what happened to those poor Baabaas that fell off-screen... And don't worry, I totally understand not being too eager to share your stuff here, especially if it's connected to your real-world identity. Thank you so much for showing me your work though; it was a pleasure to look through! ^^ All my stuff that has been published in the NT can be found via this link, since you asked. ^^

Hey there, charming thievery! =D Haha, I'm glad you decided to stick with us and introduce yourself, I'm excited to see you around and chat about everything you've talked about! TFR is also one of the top plots for me, namely for the story yeah, although I'm like you in that I live vicariously through others' experiences of it, having not participated in the plot myself xD; I haven't really participated in any real plot, actually, I think the closest I got was the Spooky Food Eating Contest (before all the tunnel adventures). So, it's mostly hearing about the puzzles and speculations and gaining a sort of nostalgia through that. Having participated or not, though, the story and characters are indeed still really fun, and I'm always up for talking story =D
Also, I'd be curious to see your TFR content collection! I have a few NT entries in mind, and I'm curious on whether or not you have those recorded yet!
(I hope you don't mind me answering some of the same questions you asked Moni because here I go >>)
Keeping on subject of plots, I think my personal favorite would be the Ski Lodge Murder Mystery (which happened waaay before I was probably even capable on making an account xD), partially due to its location (Terror Moutain is <3) and also to the atmosphere and implied lore in it. I dunno, I just love the idea of a haunted mansion lost on the Terror Mountain plains, and the implications that Sloth left his fingerprint on the peak for some unspoken motivation.
Ack yeah, it really is a pain that you can't link your NT results directly xP But ooh, I love your comic! xD And haven't read the story yet, but when homework gives me the chance, I'll try to sit down and do so :3 I'm a comics person myself, with a serial comic in the works right now (Blossoms, dunno if you've heard of/read it before), but either way you can find them all under twillieblossom on the NT (I'd link the comic pages like you did, but there are 50+, so xD). I'm in the middle of working on the next Blossoms arc, but I'm a little skeptical that I'll get it done by the year's end, so perhaps once this semester ends, I can put my life back together xD

Moni - Tagging you instead since these replies are getting rather long. xD That must've been super fun to know there was going to be a new update - comic chapter and/or plot step - every week. *o* The old Faerieland map was only up for about a year or so, wasn't it? I only learned about that secondhand since I was away on a hiatus during that time. *kicks self in regret* I heard that people had been complaining over how pink it was (Faerie City definitely was too much for me) and it took a long time to load? So that probably also factored into TNT's decision to revamp it again so soon, or so I've read. Ha, I'm a little embarrassed to admit, but I don't remember that CRASH panel having a huge impact on me when I first read it. I guess the previous panels had confused me a little bit, and maybe I hadn't realized that FL had actually *crashed* to the ground. Like, I just wasn't sure why Xandra vaporizing wraiths outted her as the villain behind everything, lol. xD ...Though I guess if you're expecting a studious and helpless librarian, then someone showcasing that kind of power is rather shocking. Although Hanso should be familiar with her shooting green energy blasts from when he stole from her...Oh, but now that I think about it, I also initially hadn't noticed that the others had all been turned to stone. ...Lol, I miss a lot of things. xD Ooh, what are you eyeing in the prize shop? Since I have a TFR gallery, I had to be very strategic on how best to use my few points in order to get the most items possible and buy the rest. Haha, I actually was expecting you to say BFM or ToW. xD I feel like a LOT of people really love BFM. That's one plot I haven't gotten around to reading yet, but my friend and I are due to start it soon. We read the first chapter, and it seems promising. Kass's sass is great, lol. So I'm eager to find out exactly what makes it so appealing and beloved by so many people. ^^ Who are your favorite Neo characters [in it]? The Zafara Double Agent had always appealed to me, even though I don't know her story. I guess I'll soon find out! Also, some lovely tumblr user posted the comic up here if you wanted to read it again. That's where I'm reading it. Lol, when I was a ten-year-old player, I didn't even know about plots, or the news, or the NT, or the boards...at least I don't remember if I did? But I definitely didn't know about plots, so you're fortunate your ten-year-old self was much more informed on the goings-on of Neopia than I was. xD Even if ToW went over your head at the time. Well, I hadn't revealed myself as a member here yet, so it's my fault, haha. And thank you for your kind comments! ^^ Ooh, thanks! I'll take a look through 'em! (Though forgive me if I'm slow to read and comment on them...I'm a little bad at reading NT stories in a timely manner. Dx) Edit: Wait, wait! You managed to link your username search! How??? I mean, *now* I can copy the link and just substitute whatever username, but how did you find that url address to begin with?

Twillie - Hello! And I'm glad you've joined in on what has now turned into plot discussions, lol. xD I mean, the story *was* the plot, in my mind. Or at least that was my mindset when I was reading the story. The puzzles and stuff were just the fun little interactive extras. (Well, more than that, I'm aware, since TFR did a really good job about having those progress the story.) Though it does seem like an amazing thing to experience the whole community coming together, and see the changes happening in real time around Neopia/Neopets the site. I'm with you on that, I'm still waiting to experience it all in that respect. I'm really hoping plots can eventually return to that grand scale...once JS gets more accustomed to how such things go...and hopefully get more resources. I'm jealous about the Spooky Food Eating Contest! I stupidly left on a hiatus right as the Obelisk War was starting and completely missed the rest of the year...It's my biggest regret, even more than missing the majority of TFR. 'Cause like, I was now *aware* of plots and events, you know? But TFR ruined me since I kept hoping for another plot like it! And Obelisk was a disappointment in that respect. Since it didn't seem like it was going to be like TFR, I suddenly wasn't interested to participate (well, plus college, lol. But no excuses!). I got as far as joining the Thieves faction, and I was impressed by the videos, but yeah...Sigh. I regret it. I regret missing Daily Dare with Chadley's shenanigans...like, OMG, that event sounded hilarious! And I regret missing the Spooky Food Eating Contest with Corbin and Kell and the Supernatural references (no, I don't watch the show, but STILL) and its puzzles, which seemed the exact thing I was looking for to do...And then to think that was the last good year with old TNT's events...it really hurts. T-T Anyway...*ahem* I'll try to keep my venting to a minimum, lol. Ask and you shall receive!! XD * shamelessly PROUDLY starts rambling on about her TFR project* This is the main page, but ever since I started working on a new layout for it, I don't like the current one, but I haven't gotten around to fixing everything to fit with the new. So just to save face, I'm linking the pet page with the new layout, but its entries are still a WIP: here. I'm *hoping* I got the entries you have in mind since I'm pretty close to being done going through all the NT issues during the plot - it's the more recent issues that I've slacked on, though those have been stingy with TFR submissions anyway. No, no, I encourage it! xD Like, I just hope you guys don't mind my blathering on and on and on.... Ooo, I haven't even thought about looking into those *suuuper* old plots...perhaps I shall, starting with that one, since it's your favorite. Does that one have some sort of comic or something to read...? It sounds like it's a Who-Dun-It kind of murder mystery? Those are fun, haha. (Also, if you love TM, does that mean it's the team you join for the Altador Cup? ) Hehe, thanks! Huh, but Moni managed to link her stories...how?? Yay, comics! Aside from the Editorial (mainly when old TNT was still helming Neo), comics and a few articles are what I usually like to read in the NT, so I'm sure I've read a few of your comics before - probably when going through them to for my TFR archives project. ^^ I'll look into them more specifically (and in order!). Good luck with your school work and your comics! ^^

XD I was playing Neo at the time, but I had no idea what plots were. It looks like it was a lot of fun, though. Hi, Rabbit! It's nice to meet you too! ^^ Thanks for stopping by! Sigh, I know what that's like. I spent a good 9 years playing Neo without ever having known plots existed (in my defense, 4 of those years were hiatus periods...though 5 years isn't that much better, lol). -__- So I'm looking forward to this new plot that JS has cooking for us, though I'm not expecting anything on the scale of TFR (even if this new one is a sort of sequel...) since it's the first for JS. Maybe down the line we both can finally experience a full-scale immersive plot like the best ones of old TNT. But hey, if JS surprises us, I'm all for it! Have you gotten to enjoy other fun plevents/events afterward, like the Obelisk War or Spooky Food Eating Contest? (Those are the two that stand out the most to me.)

charming thievery Tagging does seem a good substitution! Let's do that. It was really fun! After being burned by Dr. Sloth and Atlas of the Ancients, I was super excited when I read the first few chapters of TFR. x) I was glued to my screen for waaaay too long, I think I still have pictures of the comics still burned to my retinas to this day. At the time, the old faerieland map was super new and I absolutely loved it because everything is prettier in pink and it had finally replaced the realllly bad old faerieland map. I never had a lot of lagging problems with the map but I could see that happening with some, so I definitely understand the decision to redo it if it was negatively impacting the site... but they could have reworked Meridell instead!!! >:--(. The crash panel was like "nuuuuuuu" for me. It's understandable though, from a plot perspective, that if you weren't using faerieland at the time or if it wasn't such a fixture of the site, it wouldn't have had the same impact on you. And... eh, I suspect I only followed the plot so well because I was fed it in realllly slow increments. x) If I were just reading through, those are the types of details I wouldn't have noticed, so don't feel too bad about it. I don't quite know what I want from the prize shop. I really like the CRASH background because it's so very pretty. I don't plan on buying a faerie PB because I can just buy that anytime with regular neopoints, same with Brynn's sword, which is pretty cheap. I guess I'll see what I'll do with my points when the time comes pff. BFM to me was that childhood plot that just captured my imagination. It had so many implications that a lot of people had lots of fun with it in fafics. ToW was another plot that left my child-self scarred lol, it was just so sad to me; though nowadays I think Meridell's plot just has a greater scale and leaves enough to the imagination that you could have filled a lot of blanks yourself, and you know, what the mind's eye can come up with is sometimes fascinating; like with a horror movie monster. The Zafara double agent... well, you'll have to keep a sharp eye on the panels to understand her role. My favorite characters are the Court Dancer, Jeran, and Kass! Kass is a great villain and so is the Court Dancer; I just love their designs and roles. As for Jeran, I've always been a sucker for the noble-knight archetype, and I also find his relationship to his little sister Lisha to be very cute. < 3 No way!!! I CAN READ THE PLOT AGAIN :0D :0D Thank you so much! I didn't even know about this! My ten-year-old self was also good at pre-algebra, so that's another thing I can thank her for. x) But yeah, it was really fun to be around for a lot of the big plots. When I was in my early teens I was really sad I couldn't be around for BFM or Hannah and the Ice Caves, or the Lost Desert Plot, or Curse of Maraqua... man. >> There's a lot of lore. *puts on nerd glasses* Man. Well, now that I know your neoname I can be sure to include you in any future issues! :-D And that's so sweet of you... if you haven't guessed yet, I'm quiiite a Meridell fan, so be prepared for a lot of that. And that's no problem; I'd love to hear your thoughts if you want to provide them. ^^' As a response to your edit... I don't remember! All I know is that I saw it a few years ago and just remembered how to make a link. x) It's very self-explanatory and easy to remember how neopets does its urls, so I've just been doing it ever since!

charming thievery I'm looking forward to the upcoming plot, too. This would be my first Battledome one, since I wasn't around for the Obelisk. And yeah, I did participate in plots when I first came back. My first was the SFC and I had a blast. I am still using Corbin and Kell in my stories to this day.
