That time is coming up again! I've had a few people ask me about it in private, so I'm confirming here for the whole that yes, the Trick or Treat subboard will go up again!
I'll probably do the same timeframe as last year, that being that the subboard will go up on the 28th, but trick or treating won't start until the 29th. This is so that people who want to set up their houses ahead of time and get them posted and ready can do so! The trick-or-treat timeframe will be from the 29th-31st. (Although I probably won't move things immediately on the 1st of November; I'll probably even give that most of the day. Just try to shoot for the 31st to wrap up!)
If anyone has issue with that timeframe or thinks it should be longer or somewuch, please let me know here as soon as you can and we can work it out.
What is Trick or Treat? Every year, a subboard is put up where people can put up their Trick or Treat houses. What they actually are are threads with a description of what their Trick or Treat house is like. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like! Just keep the timeframe in mind when you do your houses.
Once trick-or-treating opens up, forumers can visit these houses to get their treats, tricks, or shenanigans. You don't need to set up a trick-or-treat house to trick-or-treat at others' houses, and you can attend as many or as few as you want. How much you want to dress up is up to you; you can do anything from going as yourself to saying what you're dressed up as to fully decorating your profile. The only limits are the limits we already set for forum profiles. ^^
If you want to see examples of how they were run in previous years, you can look in the Graveyard of Trick-or-Treat to get a general idea!
And that's all there is to it! Leave a post here if you have any questions, thoughts, concerns, suggestions, ideas (mainly for the overall event), comments, or warnings about trolls in the dungeon, for I would like to know.
