Man, so many good themes...XD
Magic/Curses and Ghosts/Monsters were my top picks. Either one would work perfectly with a story I have in mind.
I could totally go for Sidekicks and Partners too. In fact, I don't recall there being that many stories in the NT starring our favorite sidekicks of our favorite heroes. That and with TNT's tendency to treat most plot heroes/sidekicks as one-off throwaway characters, I think it would be nice to give these sidekicks a chance to shine.

CrimsonShroud- Alas, Ghosts and Monsters was done last October. Other topics: Candy and Sweets Toy (Plushies, Usukis etc) Clothing/Fashion All Things Evil All Things Good Rainbows Arts and Crafts Neoschool (Done before?) Sleep/Bedtime (Sweet Dreams?) Neopian Bands/Music Grooming Products Weewoos. (Done before?) I think the good and evil has been done in the form of heroes and villains, and sleep/bedtime as dreams and nightmares. For rainbow, how about "Showing your true colors?" x) Neoschool is a bit similar to BVU, methinks. Grooming products might be a bit too specific as we're looking for submission variety. It could probably go under the fashion theme listed above, or we could do a "Ready for the Run Way" sort of thing? Brian even suggested "Glitz and Glamour." Candy/Sweets, Neopian Bands/Music, Toys all sound great. Arts and Crafts could be made more general, I think. Maybe something about being made by paw, or anything crafty and handmade.

How about we combine fashion and grooming?
And Arts and Crafts can discuss handmade stuff, but also about paintings, sculptures, museums, Neoschool art classes etc.

I like reunions, but as a separate concept from celebrations, because it allows for the possibility of reunions that aren't strictly happy/fortunate events.

Can music and arts be combined into one category if it would allow for more flexibility?

Responding to several things here all at once: Groomed For Fashion: I think combining Grooming & Fashion would be a good idea since grooming is limited in what you can talk about. Would probably knock my "Customisation & Neohomes" out, though you had doubts about that one anyway. Lost & Forgotten Features: That said, I still say we should do something with Neohomes. How about an issue dedicated to features of the site that no longer exists or seems forgotten about by TNT and/or general Neopian public? Neohomes, Neoschools, Petpet Park, Habitarium, Treasure Seekers, Grundo's Gym, Theme Parks, Key Quest, World Game Challenge, etc.. Hey, maybe it'll make JS take notice of some of these features and update them/work on bringing some back (yes, I know we're talking about JS here but you never know what may click for them). Show Your Creative Side: Eh, I'm a bit hesitant to combine art and music. These are such broad categories with so many subcategories within them I think they can be their own issues. The only reason I would see combining them is so that we can both out of the way at the same time letting another topic have a chance to be a collab. I'd say if the reason to do so is the latter case, I say we expand it further to just include all the creative and performing arts: drawing, painting, sculpting, playing music, singing, dancing, acting, entertaining. Otherwise we can separate the creative arts (drawing, painting, sculpting; Show Your True Colors) with the performing arts (playing music, singing, dancing, acting, entertaining; Putting On A Show). Why Are There So Many Things About Rainbows: Hmm, "Rainbow" by itself seems a bit shallow. How about we combine with another related topic? Like maybe something about weather ( Sun, Hail, & Rainbows) or something about light ( Light, Shadows, & Rainbows).

I would participate in a collab themed about the ocean/reunions because there's so much potential in those themes for deeper metaphors.
E.g.
Ocean - taking risks, constance, anger, mystery, different Neopian lands' attitude towards the Neopians seas as supposed to the Sky in our last collab
Reunion - the different dynamics between everyone involved in the reunion, what brought them there, personal histories, personal conflicts, what is the purpose of the reunion, is it somehow bittersweet, is there potential of sabotage of the event, hidden motives

Yeah, I think January would work as the next 4 months will be downright brutal, publishing wise. The major issues include the 800th (initially end of September, now pushed to beginning of October with Scrappy's vacation) and Halloween (October 28th) and Christmas (mid December, probably the 16th if it isn't on the 23rd).

Ah, scratching that one off the list...xP
That reminds me...I remember there was a neoschool themed issue many years ago. I can't for the life of me remember the exact issue number. But it was done before. Not that I'm against reviving it of course.

If you want to be technical, every Halloween can be Ghosts and Monsters themed. ;P

Hmm, I got a strange idea for a Collab.
With me winning an NT Award for my article of Illusen reviewing Jhudora's prices, I'm thinking of doing another article like it, a character reviewing items. After thinking, I decided to do the Hidden Tower items, but I was thinking who should review the items. Fyora? The Battle Faerie? Nah, too obvious and probably wouldn't be that interesting. I then remembered an old Hidden Tower story about the Alien Aisha crashing into the Hidden Tower to make the Alien Myriad. The Alien Aisha reviewing Hidden Tower items, that would be a good article. Since I like to time my articles I thought that close to Aisha Day would be a good time to send it in. Looked at the Calenda and saw Aisha Day is January 3rd, okay... and then I noticed Sloth Appreciation Day was January 14th. That's when this theme idea hit me:
Alien Aishas VS Dr. Sloth
They're both highly advanced alien species who have an interest in Neopia, and it's not like they haven't crossed paths before (Sloth has a few working for him, notably Sophix II. However ones involved with the Neocola Machines may also be affiliated to Sloth since the Neocola coins has Sloth's face on them). With both Aisha Day and Sloth Appreciation Day on the same Month maybe we can make it a themed issue to occur either between or on Sloth Appreciation Day.

That sounds more like a cool April Fools thing to me personally, Like, it'd be cool to treat it as if this war is happening right now.
