*tearing hair out* I started a Usukicon article back in May and then procrastinated horribly. Would submitting it tonight be too late to inflict it on the poor editor for Friday's issue?
Also I would appreciate it if there's someone who can look it over and make sure there's no glaring errors made in my last-minute panicked effort to finish before I submit.

Hang on a sec... It looks like this Friday is the next collab issue, In the Sky. In that case, Usukicon is being pushed to the week after, I think. So you have an extra week. So you should be fine.

Ah, I wasn't sure how it'd be handled -- given the con's on the 20th and all.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Scrappy would push any Usukicon stuff to the next issue. If you'd like to make sure, you can neomail her at nt_editor. She's usually pretty good about responding to Times authors.

Well, I neomailed her, but I figure I should submit this week anyway. Otherwise I'll risk pushing it to the deadline either way. Is there a specific board I should hit to find a willing proofreader?

Rule of thumb is that usually you'll hear back within a week of submitting, although that can be very variable. If you submit now for next week's issue, yeah I think you'll be good ^^ As for finding a proofreader, you can make a thread here: ntwriters.proboards.com/board/55/work-reviews-adviceOr, if you meant a board on Neopets, there's the Writer's board, although I would suggest probably asking on the JCW thread, as the rest of the board is alas rather dead.
