I've made NO progress this week, and only made things worse because I now added a new time sensitive task, that will push back my main, not so time sensitive task, which is the room/book case organization progress. Procrastinating on that one? Yes. Yes I am. I'm not even going to pretend I'm not.
Anyway, here's my new project that I added and have been wanting to do for a few years now, since before we had our current worship arts director at my church. Basically, I've been ousted as a writer to the worship arts director, and am now on his short (meaning I may be the only one on it) list of "go to" people for some type of Christmas skit. So... yeah. Since I've already got at least one already written that could be used, it's now become time sensitive. Figure I might as well try to put everything together.
7. Organize all my skits, plays, monologues, and "dialogue heavy" stories into some assemblence of order and put it in a binder to give to my church's worship arts director. Type: Organization Tier: Easy to Medium Steps: Copy and past entries from my online profile to a Word document. H0pefully get Word to cooperate on the paging style I want to use. (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 ... 1.xx; 2.1, 2.2, .... 2.xx; 3.1, 3.2 ... 3.xx by type, so I can add to one section without messing up every other page. Progress: Minimal.

A mini update, because I recently went out looking for materials. I was able to pick up some things I needed: More wire and some batting.
Took a trip to some fabric places, but brand new faux fur is still as offensively expensive as I remembered from my plush-making and costume building days, alas. It's not going to be an option for me, sadly.
Couldn't find the type of dog toy I had in mind, sadly. I know they exist somewhere. XO
Stopped by a thrift store and took a look at the stuffed animal options, but none were viable at that particular place. A new option came to my attention, though, when I came across a faux fur coat. >8D (It would be difficult to cut up, but would provide so much material for my project!) I still want to weigh my options before I decide, but it looks like there are a few "budget" options for me.

So it's been another week, and once again, I haven't made much progress. xD I did do more moving stuff, though. I'm kind of at the annoying stage where I don't know exactly where everything is and need to figure it out, and then need to consolidate the important things into their own boxes while rearranging everything else. It's also the part where I don't have much else to do. xD
I did do some consolidation yesterday. Took stuff from one miscellaneous grab-bag and consolidated them into a few bags where those things make more sense to be. So now things make a bit more sense, and while I teeechnically added one more bag, it was also technically getting rid of grocery bags, replacing one of them with a more permanent bag, and then using that for proper sorting. It won't take up much room anyway; I can just throw it on top of boxes in the back.
As part of my clean-up, I'd taken some of my old papers and put them in for recycling, with intent to take them to the recycling facility when I have a chance. I did that last week. I'll probably need to go again because I keep accumulating papers, but hey, some of that is down.
I also cleaned out my car and consolidated my perma-car things so that I can make room for everything else. Still need to clean a little bit, but otherwise it's about ready for packing. I also took a moment to see how many times I could fit a certain size of box, so now I have a rough estimate regarding how much I can fit in my car.
So, next week is my moving day. So I really need to get on the ball for finishing up and making sure everything is prepared. It's easy to think that it is since almost everything is in a box, but that doesn't mean it's efficiently packed or that I can't do more. Besides, I need to grab more stuff from storage and figure out how to consolidate that.
Aaaaand I still really need to read that book; I'm moving really soon, darnit, get at it, me! xD; Maybe I can do that in my downtime between the hard work. If I'm not too distracted by other things.
That's my plan for this week. I'll probably just focus on that.

Updating on the wrong day because I was away, but here I am now!
I have made no more progress on the microfic prompt, but that's okay. Deadline is the end of the month and with microfics, just thinking it through counts almost as much as the actual writing anyway!
Have submitted 'The Sea is Dark' to a pretty legit publication, don't want to get my hopes up but I'm hoping they'll like it.
Abandoned the article idea, but maybe will reuse it for another publication another time.
Have not worked on Vampire or Sun stories, have made a small adjustment to the still problematic ending of Knight story. And now have another story bubbling around my brain, whoops.
Am going well with novel though! Stopped writing when on holiday, but have hit 1000 word target every other day (set myself a lower target today to get back into things, but met it too. Am currently at 10000 words, about halfway through, so will be more of a novel than novella.)

Updating because... I actually finished one of my projects that wasn't "finished" simply because a calendar date passed! (i.e. surviving the children's musical at church) I finished my binder of drama writings and gave it to the Worship Arts Director after choir practice tonight, and also sent him the electronic version. When I included dialogue heavy entries and others that could be easily adapted to a skit or monologue, I had over 150 pages worth of stuff! Now granted, that includes a bunch of pages with only a line or two, because it was the end of that particular piece, but... still. Wow! Didn't realize I had done that much skit/drama type writing. It was kind of fun to hand it over. Especially since he wasn't expecting it.

Oops, forgot to update on Monday.
Well, uh... I went through another complete overhaul of my room sometime last week, managed to clear/reorganize things enough that I could get rid of two boxes. One was small, but the other was fairly sizable! So yeah, I'm proud of that.
Moving is, uh. Happening. Currently. Been working on that piecemeal last week, but this week it's a reality, so that's what I'm going to do this week. xD
Also read a bit of that book today, though I didn't get much out of it because I was kind of overwhelmed. Today, I buckled down and got a lot done simply because it needs to be done by tomorrow. I need to do more, but the only reason I haven't done that yet is because I need to wait for other things, mainly laundry, before I finish packing. And some things I need to pack are last-minute by necessity.
Uh... Next week will be busy. I can say for sure that moving will be done, and reorganizing will become "moving and settling in to my new place." Though maybe there's still more I can do because maybe there's still more boxes I can go through. Just there's no more time for it before the move anymore. But I should be able to fit most of everything I have; the others will have to come later, but I don't need those things immediately.
I'm pretty much gonna be focusing on that, and hopefully I'll have done that and read more of that book during my downtime. We'll see! So uh, yeah. Things are happening.

No progress since my last report, alas. Haven't been able to get around and go searching for fur, which is pretty much the last material I need at this point, but sadly can't continue or do any more steps without it. :'D

Not a lot of progress this week, kinda fell off the daily writing wagon...BUT. I am going to an event on Tuesday which I signed up for mostly because of my story (an exhibition on robots!!!), and then to some free talks about space, so that should give me more motivation!
Novella is about 1/2 done, a first 'quick-draft', and I already know things which need to be added or expanded on or developed further, which will help a lot with draft two. (including but not limited to: better foreshadowing of antagonist's personality (when they're looking for him), better development of relationship between protagonists, more subtle foreshadowing of Important Plot Thing, more references to things Mari's mother taught her. More of Mari teaching Cal how to do basic maintenance on her mechanical parts, because her swallowing her pride and asking to learn is an important moment...but then there's only like one reference to it later on.)
(oh and I need to be more consistent with Cal's magic. Because I only decided halfway through that I wanted her to have some skill with magic.) ("some" is the keyword here. She can do exactly one thing but it's visually very cool so she gets away with it.)

Last week was... well... I got a lot done, albeit most of it was by force. xD
One of my tasks is complete! The Moving task. Because I, well, moved.
I've also done a heck of a lot of the first task for reorganizing because that by nature fit in with the moving task. But now that I've moved in, I've still got a lot of stuff scattered around and things in temporary places. So the meaning of the first task has changed from "go through my stuff, throw out things I don't want, and consolidate things I do" to "actually spread stuff through the house where it makes most sense so it looks and feels more livable, put things in storage, and then go back to consolidating." Which I'll probably tackle throughout the week.
I've been reading more of that book. I'll need to return it soon, most likely, but I'm still going to make the most out of reading what I can. It's a lot easier to concentrate on it now that I'm in my new place. xD
And that's all I did this week, but saying it like that gives no credit to just how much I did that week. I'm happy with what I did. ^^

Looking at the Summer Cleaning first post again, it looks like this event technically ended yesterday. I say technically because why should that stop people from doing work?
That said, the reason I haven't updated the last few weeks is because I haven't really done anything on my list lately. That's because after moving, I got caught up in other work not on my list, and have only done a few things to reorganize my apartment here and there. Since I'm kind of still trying to figure out my school situation on my end, this is probably a good time for me to end the event for myself anyway.
That said, Summer Cleaning has been great for getting me motivated to do all the things I needed to do to move and reorganize my stuff, as well as the miscellaneous things; it really helped me in the actual process and helped me declutter my life a bit! Kudos to that! \ o / Thanks for hosting the event. ^^

Yeah... I've been terrible at this. My "big" one of actually organizing my book case has been on my "to do" list for 6 months now, and it's still not done. *hangs head in shame* Maybe by Christmas??

Progress is happening! I have sculpted a new face (right over top of the original one. XD) and added brand new horns. I've also found a fur donor, and so I should finally be able to finish this doll soon! Next up is painting, which I am... not quite as skilled at yet. Wish me luck. XD (and yes, I know that this event has ended, but I figured I should post my update anyway. XD)
