If I recall correctly, there's 16 total combinations with four bits. A bit being a single 1 or 0. So a form of binary makes perfect sense to me, as there's 16 note pieces as well.

I mostly keep wondering if 1001 represent a puzzle (maybe a major one) that we'll have to solve later? Or maybe one of the individual puzzles that will be sent to Killix at one point, if it hasn't already, and the rest of us will get one too at various points. Not sure, though. I don't know how much they correlate to PCs, though, or at least not in regards to the sign-up list. Because my first initial thought was to check if the numbers correspond to the sign-ups list if you go in order. But when I checked, #9 is Azzie's character. Just one off from Killix's, actually; she's #10. And then #2 is Shinko's character, but 0010 is a whole-group puzzle. Unless these messages are geared at us for more character-specific things? (In which case maybe we can have an easier time finding more correlations when/if we get more.) Or the order our characters get these is randomized? I don't know. xD This post is even more flinging of random ideas onto the plate. Buthey, speculation! \ o / XD Aha, you're reading a whole lot more into it than I am. I just assumed they were snippets of a longer message the characters would gradually get one at a time, and we have to arrange them in order.

I would agree, but when I punch the numbers into a converter, 1111 is 15. There'd need to be one more bit position to make 16. (Unless we're counting 0 here. ...Which maybe we are. I dunno. ...In which case... yeah, Killix's number would be #9 (with the first sign-up being player #0).) XD Aha, you're reading a whole lot more into it than I am. I just assumed they were snippets of a longer message the characters would gradually get one at a time, and we have to arrange them in order. That thought crossed my mind too, and maybe there is some sort of message to it. So far, the messages seem to look more like titles, but maybe the titles do go together. Maybe like one of those story titles like Medieval had, where each snippet implied something.

Well, I'm not sure what they are, but I can say that they don't appear to be Skip Ciphers or Gronsfeld Ciphers. Those two were the first things I tried to solve them with, aaand I got nothing comprehensible. XD
I assume there are more of these coming to a headache near you. We probably need the rest of them to solve whatever puzzle it is.

Killix - I'll have to look up what those Ciphers are. xD Anyway, yeah, you're probably right that we'll need the rest of the snippets first before we can do much with them. Isn't that exciting Alexis; you might get a message that induces a headache in you too! =D ...Why aren't you excited.

That's what we call an off by one error in programming; when coding, you generally start your code at zero. So 0, 1, 2, ... 15 equals a count of 16. Also, ugh at neighbors being noisy enough to both wake me up and call the police on them. Way too late right now.

honesty I figure that you write well precisely because you're an artist. Artists know how to visualize a scene vividly enough to describe it. Then it's just a matter of writing it down. I'm doing a good job of wingin' it, I guess. Putting my thoughts into words is always a struggle for me. Sure, visualizing a scene is easy, but describing it? Yikes. XD That's pretty much how I do it. Wing it XD

I think the messages as snippets of a longer piece makes sense, as does the binary. Perhaps the binary indicates the order they are supposed to be in?

Since I did say that we'd try to give a longer heads-up next time: we plan to start Chapter 2 on Tuesday, June 27 at 7:00 AM EST / 12:00 PM BST, aka seven in the morning in New York/noon in Britain/just about 48 hours from now/hope I didn't muck this up.
There'll probably be a slight timeskip, but a lot of the time we sort of wing it as we go along, because flexibility n stuff aren't you glad you can trust your friendly local GMs to keep it all together?
*sinks back into a hole and looks gleefully cryptic in the face of all the speculations*
*thems are some good speculations though*
*mjustsaying*

The most inane things occur to me when I'm trying to compose posts.
Like for example "I wonder if the buzzing is an actual audible sensation or only a metaphorical representation for something- and if the former, I wonder if it's at a frequency that the more sensitive ears of a Belgian malinios could pick up if it was standing close to the subject in question."
XP I mean Dunkin's just a dog so it's not like he could do anything with the buzzy-messages, but I imagine if it was like some high-frequency thing he might at least react to it.
Not that it's at all important but RANDOM NONSENSE I WONDER.

Fraze, Huntress, would it be possible to get the solutions to puzzles we have already solved posted somewhere on the front page or in a separate thread, perhaps, so we don't have to look through the whole OOC thread looking for them? Thanks!

hey just checking in, sorry I haven't been very active the last few days but I haven't been feeling super great this weekend. So, have a post, I might not be very active until next round but I'll try to keep tabs on things OOCly anyway.
Anise is super overwhelmed and confused so that's my excuse if I miss reacting to things with her, haha

Been meaning to do this for a while but here we go! Two of Holly's side-cast; her brother Jonquil And her grandmother Rosemary. I tried to draw her daughter, Esther, buuuut children's faces + me = tears, and I gave up. Just imagine a smolish version of Holly with some Asian features. (I headcanon her biodad was of Chinese descent.)

So I've been kind of assuming that while people can't phone call or get radio waves or whatever from outside Wrighton, and outside Wrighton can't call/broadcast in, communication within Wrighton works just fine. So someone within Wrighton can call another person within Wrighton. They can't just call anyone outside the dome.
Is this, like, conflicting with anyone else's headcanon?
Also now realizing that by this logic, internet should be useless, but I'd honestly rather just ignore that plothole and keep internet going just fine.
You'd be surprised at how many of my story choices are just to make things easier on myself.
