Would anyone mind if I say Beatrice had been collecting contact information from everyone (PC and NPC) who contributed to the notes and puzzle. And this happened during the time skip? Things like names, phone numbers, maybe even social media or emails. Cade would be glad to exchange names and phone numbers, as he too foresees that this might come in handy. Cue their moment of recognition: "Caden Glenn? As in my mother's old assistant's son?" "Beatrice Bizelli? You're back in town? Yeah... I've changed a bit since we last saw each other." Hrm, yeah, that was an interaction that would have been nice not to gloss over. Well, with roleplays, I think it best not to look back too much, but instead just keep moving forward. So maybe they'll have some time to properly catch up later. The Fox Signal. A high pitched cry of fox that is heard throughout the town, once activated Edward Fox leaps into action and will materialized out of the closest dumpster... Or maybe a bunch of angry foxes do. It's your call if you risk it! But really, yeah... Chances are you have to literally run into him to ever speak with him XD Edit: And I read posts, and see you made the signal joke already! XD Does anyone still remember the era when a forum discussion would hit my brain just right and then I had to get that into a drawing? welp, you do now. (aaand this is why I like knowing what people's characters look like, June Scarlet ) Works well to represent finding Mr. Fox, but also doubles as how some people choose to dive into a dumpster rather than be interviewed by Beatrice again. Usually those sorts deserved a good grilling with questions, though. Usually. Thank you, Huntress, I appreciate the art.

Beatrice is confused as to why everyone's hung up on the word "mindprog" when there's dozens of other mysterious words and things to consider.
Actually, it's almost unsettling how little she cares about that part of the message.
Also, on no basis at all, I imagine the writer of the message to be a kindly older gentleman dressed in steampunk with a steampunk laboratory and everything. Usually I don't get to notice my placeholder descriptions because I get to read the actual description fast enough.

Well in fairness, I've only had two replies to get to, so Holly might yet progress further down the note if people actually talk to her about it. 8'D Nobody has addressed her directly and Bea's comments read more as talking to herself than anything.

Yeah, Radha's going to ask about Scip when I get a chamce to post next =P I don't get why everyone's so blase about the mind control and reprogramable memory, to be honest XD

At this point, Athene doesn't know how much to believe and is more kind of in a state of "whaa", which explains some of her blase reactions. xD
I'll have her respond at some point, but it won't be until later tonight. I have to get going somewhere soon.

And now I want to reference or mention the book Under the Dome in Wrighton. Even though I never read the book. Just because I think it'd be fitting.
I think that says something about me.

Mostly Harmless (flufflepuff) Gelquie Moni Nut Would any of you like to conclude the interactions we had before the time skip, or would it be alright to go ahead and catch up our characters after the puzzle was solved? I'm still thinking of what to do with Liz in the next post, but I don't want to commit to any ideas pre or post skip in case it contradicted with what someone else wanted to do! A timeskip seems fine, and I want to say for the future that since it seems to be taking me a while to make these posts, I don't want to hold anyone else back because they're waiting for a reply from me. So unless it seems like a really notable interaction somehow, please just assume it's okay to move on when you want.

honesty I figure that you write well precisely because you're an artist. Artists know how to visualize a scene vividly enough to describe it. Then it's just a matter of writing it down. I'm doing a good job of wingin' it, I guess. Putting my thoughts into words is always a struggle for me. Sure, visualizing a scene is easy, but describing it? Yikes. XD

She doesn't really believe she or anyone else could be mind controlled, therefore there's nothing to worry about. Especially with many other questions and mysteries clamoring for her attention. She's sort of focusing more on stuff that there's solid proof of, like domes and encoded notes and the like. Mentioning something about a "mindprog" is hardly proof of anything to her, and she's not particularly paranoid about these things. OOC, I'm not sure it really seems like mindcontrol either, it seems more like, uh, telepathic suggestions sent directly to townspeople's minds? If that's somehow better?

I think that's splitting hairs, honestly. XD Still manipulating them without their knowledge or consent, and if people don't realize the thoughts aren't their own and act on them, it's basically mind control. EDIT: To clarify, I do see the logic of Bea dismissing it because she doesn't believe it, that makes sense. XD

I was too tired to write a post last night, but I didn't want to go to sleep in case I missed any posts. This game is kind of too addictive for its own good!
Does anyone have any theories yet? =D

So I don't know if this is relevant in any way whatsoever, but I'm in puzzle-mode, and we're all about flinging random ideas out at each other right? Right? XD;;;
I don't claim to be an expert in binary, but apparently 0010 is 2, and 1001 is 9.
(Also, personal-character-centric brain says that the second one (Velia's) reminds me of Hannah. If more of these odd headache-inducing messages are incoming, I wonder if they correlate to PCs?)

Hey June Scarlet, I realized something while we were working on our collab post. So Beatrice is a bluenette and Ani's a redhead. Blue is associated with calmness and reservation and red is associated with aggression and boldness. Well, it looks like our characters are not quite what their hair color represents. Ani's reserved and calm while Beatrice is more bold. (Don't mind me, this is just another one of my late night thoughts. XD)

That makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking... Which makes so little sense that I can't even really put it into words. I mostly keep wondering if 1001 represent a puzzle (maybe a major one) that we'll have to solve later? Or maybe one of the individual puzzles that will be sent to Killix at one point, if it hasn't already, and the rest of us will get one too at various points. Not sure, though. I don't know how much they correlate to PCs, though, or at least not in regards to the sign-up list. Because my first initial thought was to check if the numbers correspond to the sign-ups list if you go in order. But when I checked, #9 is Azzie's character. Just one off from Killix's, actually; she's #10. And then #2 is Shinko's character, but 0010 is a whole-group puzzle. Unless these messages are geared at us for more character-specific things? (In which case maybe we can have an easier time finding more correlations when/if we get more.) Or the order our characters get these is randomized? I don't know. xD This post is even more flinging of random ideas onto the plate. Buthey, speculation! \ o /
