A Medieval reading sounds really cool! I participated in Medieval, but to be honest I kind of... fell off the wagon and stopped reading the full posts somewhere along the way? (yay for summaries!) >>;; So maybe I SHOULD go back and actually read the full thing one day!
I would prefer if this happened after Wrighton, because right now I would like to focus on reading and keeping up with that (and I do have a history of struggling to keep up with roleplays, so adding Medieval reading on top of that would probably end badly for me XD;; ) but even if you guys start sooner, maybe I'll join you wherever you are when Wrighton ends (if you're still going by then, that is! XD; )

I think Reiqua did say she intends to start this project a bit after Wrighton ends. =D

I think Reiqua did say she intends to start this project a bit after Wrighton ends. =D Yeah, I read that! But she said she was flexible, so I just meant to voice agreement to the idea of this happening after Wrighton, because it isn't set in stone yet, and there does seem to be a lot of interest for it! (I know how hype goes, it can be hard to wait, and I've seen forum events start before the initial planned date more than once before because everyone was already so excited for them to happen. XD)

I didn't participate here! But I think this would be the perfect excuse to actually read it, because it's kind of legendary and I've been meaning to anyway

To be honest Ginz I don't think I could handle reading Medieval on top of writing for Wrighton (probably not many people could) and I have no intention of starting early But I am glad to see there's a lot of interest! ♥ Azzie I was fully convinced you must have participated in Medieval but yay for joining the reading party! I think there are probably a lot of us in the "always meant to get around to it" category who would be glad of the excuse to finally do so!

A reread of Medieval sounds like fun! I participated, and enjoyed the roleplay aspect of the game far more than I ever thought I would, as I'm not really much of a roleplayer... or writer in general. XD
I have to say I am looking forward to seeing the reactions of the many zany shenanigans that occurred! XD I second or third or whatever the suggestion to do this after Wrighton as I'll be too busy to join in, otherwise.

Oh this sounds really fun! I'll definitely join in, it'll be so fun to see everyone's reactions. Medieval has a lot of good memories for me and it'll be fun to see a new generation of forumers react to it. Agreed with having it after Wrighton, but sounds like I'm far from alone on that. XD

This sounds like a fun idea. =D I'm a Mediveteran, too, and I had a great time with it. I can't promise I'll reread it alongside you guys, but it sounds like a delight to hover and read your theories and reactions. x3 (...Although, knowing me, even if I say I won't reread, it's likely that as I see you guys reading, I might wind up reading some myself anyway, to try to read it from your perspective.)
I thiiiink the spoiler boxes in the first goderator post are spoiler-free, actually? It lists what the roles are, and it lists which forumer played which character, but it doesn't reveal which roles belonged to whom. But you'd probably be fine not looking at any of the spoilers, too. ^^ (There is a map drawing in there that might be handy for worldbuilding mental image aesthetics, though.)
Anyway, I'll look forward to this after Wrighton. =DD I hope you guys enjoy reading it!

Our poor non-Mediveterans may need access to that excel spreadsheet you had of all the various statues, if it still exists. XDDDD

Oh ho ho, Reiqua, I've only been here at the NTWF a couple years, and I wasn't even active the first year or so. Wasn't Medieval like- Oh, wait, it was only in 2014? I only missed it by a year, it looks like. Man, the way people talk about, it seems like it's almost as old as the forum itself, like it's always been there. Medieval is to the NTWF as Apple Pie is to America, it's weird to think there was a time when it wasn't around, let alone so recently.

I would be interested in joining the Medieval Book Club, yes =D I actually read the first few posts once, and was blown away by the characterization I found there (the one that left the deepest impression on me was this dancing-obsessed guy who wanted to become king so the peasants would pay to watch him dance, or something like that).

I probably won't commit to following along regularly but as one of the ex-goderators I might occasionally poke in with an insight here or there about the process. It's hard to talk about the backend work that Carrie and I put into it without being fairly spoiler-intensive (as one would assume) but if there are any particularly fun moments that arise worth mentioning there's a chance I may hop in on that conversation.

Given my free time status these days (read = I have none), I doubt I'll be able to follow along regularly but as the other half of the Medieval goderator team, I totally echo what Icon said about occasionally popping my head in. 8D Medieval is still kinda my baby so. <3 My baby that grew like eight-hundred autonomous heads but STILL

I know when you said party you meant, like, "PARRTAAAAY!". But my mind jumps to the idea of a party of adventurers, like the Fellowship or Eragon's ever-shifting crew, finally taking on the challenge and braving the colossal structure that is Medieval. =P
