WELL I was gonna try and get a final wordcount update but it's 11:30PM, my hands are tired, my eyes are tired, and I have another six handwritten pages to type and I use college-ruled paper so this ain't happenin' tonight 8'D
...Yeah still kinda no progress on anything else X'D How did a week go by so fast, dang! (proooobably because birthday weekend that also glommed into Friday night. Probably that.)
I don't have my usual evening appointment tomorrow, though, so I'm hoping I can use that time to get some stuff done =P
EDIT: I has wordcounts! \ o / All are totals starting March 1st.
Markus-fic: 9,504 words Novel: 7,848 words (technically it should be more but I didn't transcribe the huge chunks I'd crossed out x_X) Other: 2,497 words
(I actually have had a goal this year to try and write 1k words a day, so this doc of March and April daily writing should actually have been closer to 60k <.< March was a really terrible month, to be fair, but dang I didn't even hit my wordcount goal for April. Rargh.)

I wrote a little bit of my space novella! Wrote a scene where they meet Creepy Exposition Psychic Guy for the first time (he doesn't come across as creepy in the writing because PoV character doesn't think he is, but there are Things she takes for granted that her friend finds creepy, so it's an interesting and fun perspective to work with.)
I aahhhh have not completely finished tidying my room. BUT. It's mostly done. So there's that.
That's about it for this week haha, but oh well! I've been productive in other ways.

Most of my time this past week has been spent on homework, and as I type this, I'm finishing up my last bit, so I can soon cross that off of my list :3
Another item that I haven't really touched on yet, but website development has made a bit of progress as I was sort of forced to work on it for school x3 For my digital arts class, our final assignment is to create a simple portfolio site, and although we're using a different program than what I've been using before, it's still had me figure out layout and content and all that.

Oh my goodness, what is this, an update? Yep, I decided that maybe I should actually do this. I have not updated once during my entire project schedule because, well...to be honest, I was lazy and I did not feel like I have made much progress. But let's see:
Job hunting: have sent out a ton of applications and been to a few interviews but so far, no dice. There is a reason the difficulty of this is *laugh track* I'm still chasing it and this is actually the project I am spending the most time on, it's just...an all-or-nothing game.
The RL commission: I have finished inking it today, so all that remains is doing the colouring. This is the most time-consuming step, though probably not the most labour intensive one. It's not looking too bad so far, though my drawings tend to look rubbish at the inking stage. Let's see where this one goes. I hope to finish it by the time Spring Cleaning is over and, to be honest, if I can finish just this project, I'll be happy.
Medieval fic: Is chugging along, though at a slow pace due to IRL being brain-intensive and not leaving me with much energy to write. I am much, much happier with it than I was before the rewrite and it is coming along much more naturally. It's unlikely I'll finish it before Spring Cleaning is over but I will endeavour to be happy with what I have. And hey, it's 27k words so far, it's not feeble. (Might be a full NaNo by the time I'm through with it.)
Colour ref: I...have done very little with it. >_> Urgh, this is something I should maybe do more of.
Art list: It keeps growing faster than I can finish it so I might honestly scrap this challenge. >> I have been making progress on pictures, just not at the pace I would like and new ideas keep happening. It does not help that a vast majority of what I have are relatively complex pieces and all my energy has been poured into the RL commission.
Colour ref of forum persona: Did not do anything with it yet, and after Shinko's awesome avatars, dunno if I really want to. xD I probably will though, because it needs to happen. But I have been bad with colour refs so far so...welp. 8D;
Language learning: I took a break from it because RL has been super-busy but I did my quota for today. \o/ Slowly but surely doing things?

It was one of those weeks where you look back and think, "What DID I do the past seven days? " I sort of finished Mountain Sound? Except that I'm suspicious of it, because it was way less trouble than I had expected, so I'll probably keep staring at it and tweaking some things. >_> I finished writing my review-thing of Cursed Child, which wasn't physically written down on my Spring Cleaning list, but trust me, it's been there in spirit. Annnd I haven't finished, but I got about halfway through reading the 2016 Trick-or-Treat threads. ^^ I wish I'd been able to participate, your houses are so goooood. <333

Reason Number Seven why I have so much trouble keeping up with the dishes: I keep finding more dishes to do. Case in point, last week mom brought over one of two boxes of dishes I had inherited from my Grandma. Still living too much a bachelor's life to need nice dishes, so they would go straight to storage. Except, as it turns out, when my aunt packed them away for a few years ago, she packed them in while they were still dirty.I know they were in a big hurry to clear her house out, but nrgh... So yeah, normal dishes that I use in my day to day life are all clean as of this moment in time. But I have another set of dishes with food bits that have been dried out and on there for years now. In hindsight, should have checked them when I got them, but I guess I'll have to deal with them now. But not right this minute, as my dish drainer is full. Been working very hard on my final project for WordPress class. Been actually doing nothing for Javascript, I completed by homework Saturday, and apparently the week before finals, we just do nothing? So that's a break, I guess. Both will be completed next week, as the semester ends. I am on edge about what's going to happen in June. My school ends in May. My internship ends in May. So I don't know what happens in June. I kind of hope to be hired by the company I'm an intern at, but I don't want to count on that either. Especially since my department's a bit up in the air right now, as my boss, who's been there the longest, left for a new job this week. Everyone, not just me, are trying to find their place and new routine. The other manager of the UX team, who was only hired last fall, is left managing all of us, and he's twice as busy, as a result. Meanwhile, I'm also preparing to apply to other places. There's a job fair at my college this Friday, and that's where I'll start. But just not knowing what will happen, it's just eating away at me. I decide to try letting Part 3 of Ink 3 be Beta read, partly to catch mistakes, and partly to keep me sane from all the above. A ridiculous typo was found, to the point where I was wondering, was I even awake when I was lettering? Lettering can be a mindless task sometimes, where you're so concentrated on getting the letters drawn nicely they don't even form words anymore. But I try not to let it get that bad, usually. Because they lead to misspelling "there" as "ther" ( ) So, progress was made, but all the type of tasks that can't really be completed.

Oh goodness... I had the best intentions to be super productive with this, but... it didn't turn out quite how I had hoped it would. XD
I haven't been updating because, well... I haven't been making progress on the tasks I listed. A bunch of inconveniences (I hurt my hand, twice, then chipped a tooth.) sorta drained all motivation out of me.
I did manage to get things done, but... they were things that were not on my list. I cleaned my room, read 3 books, and started and finished two very big projects in Elc's Minecraft server. (The Guardian farm, and my base's storage area.)
They're not super important tasks, but I think I'm still going to count them as progress. Just because I want to and I can. 8D

So on Monday, I actually finished one of my tasks! ...Aaaaand proceeded to not do anything else on my Spring Cleaning list this week. xD (To be fair, I had other things going on that weren't on my list. So it's not like I wasn't productive. Heck, I spent quite some time doing yardwork the other day... And may do it again because the yard's a mess that no one will clean up. Though I'll probably be lazy to finish.) Anyway, the task I finished was fixing my LaTeX programs so I could actually compile things. AKA: Task #7. I'm really proud of this because not only has this been years of putting it off, but I didn't think I would actually get it done. And now I can use it again! \ o / Though it was still... quite a task to get it working. I'll just copy-paste what I wrote on Monday regarding the fixing process. It's long, so I'll put it in a spoiler box and spare you scrollers from a standard Gelquie Textwall™ or people who aren't interested in hearing about me mentally flailing at a computer. No worries, I understand! So, I actually started and completed one of my Spring Cleaning tasks all in one day! But it was on Monday, and I'd already updated, so I thought it was too soon to post again. So you get this, probably left in a spoiler box for length. This is... the story of how I (eventually) fixed my LaTeX programs.
One Monday afternoon, I had gotten everything else done and decided I should at least make an attempt at one of my Spring Cleaning items. I felt in the mood to mess with my computer, so I ended up deciding to do entry #7 on my list: Fixing my LaTeX compilers. I figured I probably wouldn't succeed, but that I would at least get points for trying.
So first thing I did was enter the compiler program and try to figure out what was wrong from there. I noted that while it would do some compilations, it wouldn't actually produce an output. So then I had the idea that I should update my programs related to LaTeX. To do this, the site said to just reinstall over the previous ones. So I did that.
Turns out there were a lot of updates between the compiler I was using and the most up-to-date one. Even the interface looked different. So I thought "maybe that was it". So I ran it, but I got pretty much the same thing as before. Deciding that maybe the other related program to LaTeX also needed updating, I decided to reinstall that too.
I realized while taking the steps to reinstall that one that they were defaulting to the wrong folder. So I decided I would just uninstall the program entirely and reinstall it. So I did that and then went ahead with the reinstall in the new directory.
Right away, I knew something was wrong; just when the download completed, I got an error message saying it couldn't find some things. I was confused; I had gotten it right from the website. I decided that hey, maybe I don't need it! So I went back to the compiler. Only I realized that it wasn't recognizing the update. I realized the path went to the old folder, so I modified the folder paths names to match since that should be the only difference. Only it still didn't work. So I went to fix the paths. I followed the website's instructions on how to fix the path, but for some reason it didn't recognize it; it didn't think that the executables it needed were actually in that folder even though they were.
Anyway, I tried to mess with a few more things... And then the entire program froze. So sometimes whenever I went in, I had to try again just to get it running only to be met with freezing again.
At some point, I decided "well, while I'm dealing with the path, why don't I try to get a new PDF viewer? The one I have is kinda terrible anyway and it would be nice to have a better one that may well work better with this system as well". So on the website for the compiler, I followed their suggestion and went to download that one... Except it froze partway into it. I tried to install it again, and set up some options beforehand, only I was gleefully told "Install failed! =D =D ". Going on a hunch, I went into my Program Files where it was going to be written and found some of the files already written from the first install. I clicked on it...
Aaaaand that's when my whole computer froze and I had to hard-restart. During that restart, I also lost the screenshot of error message I had gotten when reinstalling one of the programs because I didn't save it. ='D
Soooo I pulled everything up again. This time, I manually uninstalled the PDF reader and uninstalled/reinstalled one of the programs again. Thankfully, that reinstall seemed to go okay, with no error messages this time!
...Buuut when I tried to update the reinstalled program from the start menu... My entire Windows crashed. ='D Not like, restart-crash, just all I could do was flip through the tabs I already had open because everything else was gone. Or at least, it was visually. I couldn't even shut my computer down, so I had to hard shut it down, like before.
After that, I finally got the idea to uninstall the TeX compiler, ensure everything was okay with the other program, then reinstall the compiler. Sometime after that, I installed a new, different PDF reader. After that, I went through some simple configuration things, and... With the exception of PDF compiling, it actually worked fine?? See, the thing with my compiler is that when you install it after you install other things, there will already be things available that you can tell the compiler to link to, so it does some of the work for you. So I thought, yay, 80% done!
...But I really wanted it to be done, so. xD
The thing with the PDF compiling problem was that after the fixes, something would come up, but only to the PDF mainpage, not the document itself like I wanted, since you couldn't actually access it from the mainpage or anywhere else. What I ended up doing there was uninstalling the compiler again and then reinstalling it after ensuring the new PDF compiler was my default program, making sure it all linked up, then trying again. And bam! It worked!
Finally, after years of going "I'd like to compile this with LaTeX, buuuuut", I no longer have an excuse to not! \ o / Oh, and I crossed something off my Spring Cleaning list, which is pretty dang awesome.
Oh, and I have a PDF reader that isn't Adobe, which is something I really wanted. Particularly since after its latest update, it got a lot more annoying. It wasn't on my list, but hey, two birds in one stone! \ o /
And that was my epic adventure of "I should be really frustrated at you but this is so much a comedy of errors that I can't be". And my computer only froze/crashed twice! I'm so proud. Anyway, I'm guaranteed to do more on my list next week because at the very least, I have an application deadline to meet, so... I'm gonna do that. (And brave the dreaded phone calls. *Violin screeches.* Be strong, me.)

I didn't update yesterday because I was so very close to finishing that bleedin' painting. Finished it today and added some extra shinies and I can finally cross it off the list, yay =D I posted about it in my diary, with pictures.Other'n that, there's been surprisingly good progress on the sketchbook cover; lineart is done and the more labor-intensive parts of coloring are underway. Human figures always take the longest, backgrounds are usually easier. Usually. ...and then there's the Wrighton map, which I don't have on the list because if I keep adding to it, I'll never get anything done, but I worked on that as well. That game will probably start taking most of my resources and I might need to put the rest of my stuff on hold. We shall see.

Oh, hey, I actually could cross some stuff off my list now.
Last Thursday, I finally finished organizing my bookshelves, which has been a project I've been working on in small spurts, like waiting for my carpool ride to show up to my house.
Yesterday, I turned in my final project for my WordPress class. Which is a fully functioning site. My professor was so impressed she went and grabbed another professor to show it off to. So that's done.
Almost done with my Javascript project, I have two of the three major requirements done. And then I'll be done with that class as well.
Graduation ceremony is this Saturday. It'll be the third college graduation I've attended, and the second at the community college. I had my two-year degree, four-year degree, and now a web development certificate.
Had an idea of how to approach Part 8 of Ink, which in turn helps shape how Part 7 will be done. I also had an alternative idea for how to approach Part 6, and I'm considering the pros and cons between that version, and my original idea. There's things I like about both.
And this also marks my 500th post. Fun Fact.

Completely forgot to update.
What with moving to the new place within the next ten days, literally nothing has gotten done.
That and minecraft has kind of taken over my life >>;
I'll try to work with a bit more discipline this week. No art projects though because my art stuff has been packed away...

I didn't update yesterday because yesterday, I had limited sleep so I didn't want to talk too much. So, update! I added one more to-do! ...I know, in the endgame, but I know I can read at least one book before the end of the month. On Friday, I kind of had a "DO ALL THE THINGS!!" day, and I started it out by doing a bit of #1 on my list! That is, going through some of my stuff and cleaning things out. I still feel like I'm keeping too much, but I did take out a bunch of clothes I'll never wear again and put into a donation box. I also went through my old books, donated the ones where "let's be honest; am I ever going to read these [again]?". And if the answer is no, I donated them. Though I let family go through some of them for keeps and some of them got taken out, but the rest will be donate. Having a book collection is nice, but they're heavy and not so nice when you have to move. I still need to go through my textbooks. And go through one particular box where I can still kinda trim down my class notes so that I have less to carry. It's just... a lot of work. Oh, and I sent off one more application! ... I have no idea if I'll even get around to the last one. I may not actually do anything with it and it's just... difficult. I know I should, but... that one's hard and I don't even know if it's worth it. ='D ...And that was all I did! ...I really need to get back on my game. I don't even know if I'll be able to get to all my priority ones. I'll admit, part of the reason I didn't do so well this week is because I've been distracted, either with doing things unrelated to my list or with a video game that's eating up my life. Priorities, me, priorities. s( )z Anyway, gonna get back to it. I'm actually reading a book on my list now, so, less talk more rock!

*jumps on the "hasn't done much because of travel" bandwagon* Just got back from a busy trip at 4am yesterday sooo yeah, not a lot of progress here =D This seems like a good week for art, though, nice and quiet and can be fairly mindless (which...may explain a lot) while my brain recovers =P
...Although I did clean out my kitchen cabinet (for the person catsitting my kitty) and updated a couple more FR bios before I left, so I guess there's that?
