My project list! (I probably won't try to do all of these things, but I intend to tackle either a big portion of it or one of the big ones.) (All my progress is measured from the Spring Cleaning event start and doesn't take into account previous progress. Prior progress is noted in parentheses.) 1. Sort through things and reorganize/Actual Spring Cleaning Type: Misc Difficulty: Medium Length: Medium Subject: Spring Cleaning Steps: Categorize what I have, go through and toss out/donate what I don't need, put everything into as few boxes as possible Progress: (I have actually done this before, but I still have too much stuff and a huge mess in my room.) I have cleared a bunch of tabletops as well as dusted my room. In the process, I consolidated some stuff together. Still need to properly reorganize my stuff, but at least my room is a little bit more sightly. 5/12 - Went through clothes and books and picked some out to donate. Still need to reorganize more because I still have too much stuff. Maybe want to read some of the books I have around before donating them... Actually, I'll just add it.
2. Mafia II backstory fics Type: Writing Difficulty: Hard Length: Lengthy Subject: My Mafia II OC Steps: Outline, cross-check traits and psychology, double-check what I have so far, write Progress: (I have a vague outline of where I want to go with it and even the start of some fics, I just need to pin down details. Either that or keep it vague. I actually once thought about making it one of those narrator-less comic things that flashes through her life, but I can't draw, so writing it is.)
3. Fic of conversation between Mafia II and I OCs Type: Writing Difficulty: Easy Length: Short; maybe just an hour or so if I really buckle down. Subject: My Mafia II and I OCs Steps: Re-read what I have so far, outline if need be, finish! Then decide whether it's post-able Progress: (It's mostly written, I just need to re-read it, fix any problems, figure out where I got stuck and figure out how to end it.)
4. The Town fic Type: Writing Difficulty: Easy-Medium Length: Short-medium Subject: My The Town OC and her boss in life Steps: Sort out characterization traits for her boss, outline, decide the POV, write Progress: (I have a vague outline in my head, but need to pin down more details.)
5. Medieval Stuff
a. Miscellaneous day-in-life Elin-centered fics Type: Writing Difficulty: Easy Length: Medium Subject: Medieval OC Steps: Sort out which ones I have left unfinished, check what I have so far, finish, tighten if need be, decide if worth posting Progress: (These are mostly previously written to some level, I just need to finish them. This progress bar will indicate how many I've finished since the event started. I also have a Clare fic idea jumping around in my head that I need to wrangle that I'll sort under here.)
b. Thylle fic Type: Writing Difficulty: Hard/What do Length: Medium-Long Subject: 2 Thylle-based OCs Steps: Check what I have so far, outline, decide on interim breather events, write and tie events together Progress: (The prologue is done, and there is some writing in-between but I kind of jump around. I even have a bit of the ending already written because I was tired of writing the middle. But it's kind of hard to wrangle.)
c. Kine fic Type: Writing Difficulty: Hard?/I don't think I'll really finish this one Length: Long Subject: Medieval OC Steps: Outline, write?? Progress: (I have a mental outline that's vague in some places and the start of the scene but it's otherwise not really started. ...Well, okay, I have a few scenes from before at the beginning.) I wrote a scene snippet! I may or may not use it later, or maybe I'll use parts of it later. I just had an idea and wanted to get it down, and I think it could fit there.
d. Booveen fic Type: Writing Difficulty: Very Hard (I don't expect to complete this one) Length: Very Long Subject: Medieval Noble House Steps: Figure out these characteeeers, make a more concise outline, figure out psychology profiles, then get writing and get the ball rolling, dangit Progress: (I have the fic started and some scenes written, but I kind of need a firmer base point before I can really continue. Otherwise I'll keep writing myself into walls.) A character came to life at me! It'll help me write the rest of the plot. Not all of it, but important portions of it. Said character may force me to write other fics first, though, but they should be short. I'm just happy this character finally came to life!
e. Kine map Type: Geography Difficulty: Very Hard (but I really need to do this one) Length Long Subject: ...Kine. Steps: Get back in touch with map-makers (or just get help in general), figure out more geography and regions, consolidate what I already know, slowly draw the map; when finished, divide into sections for noble houses, select a few to keep, then throw at Medieval people to claim/name drop Progress: (It's started, and I have some ideas of what regions should have what, but I should try to tie it all together better and look up more proper geography.)
f. Thylle worldbuilding Type: Concepts on Fictional Lands Difficulty: Very Hard Length: Long Subject: Thylle Steps: In no particular order: Get a general idea for the geography beyond just the mountain range and steppes, pin down the specifics of how the government works and actually write that down, develop the pantheon and pin down any last details about how they work, pin down more of the culture, establish significant places, etc etc etc Progress: (None after the start date; vague ideas from before.)
g. Mimic God Story Type: Fic Difficulty: Hard Length: Long? Subject: Writing, Thylle, and Worldbuilding Steps: Write down possible story branches (or even potential story snippets) to examine and trim. Make at least some progress on 5f first. Finish fleshing out the main character that isn't the mimic god. Figure out/draw the mimic god's design. Once all these are done, make a proper outline, then write. Progress: Brainstorming
6. Learn Python Type: Programming Difficulty: Hard Length: Very Long Subject: Computer programming Steps: Find a coding platform for Python, find a good online guide (suggestions welcome!), establish a routine for learning, stick to it! Progress: (I've found some coding platforms and some online guides, and I've started learning some of the basics.) Learning more of the basics. Have references up for simple commands, operators, and simple loops. Need to master how to actually run the files.
7. Fix my LaTeX programs (so that they actually compile properly) Type: Computer Difficulty: Hard Length: I don't know Subject: My computer Steps: Sort out the directories; if that doesn't work, find out why it's not working, go through contradictory programs if need be, flail at the wall and internally cry when nothing works and give up ask for help if need be Progress: COMPLETED! (5/1) IT WORKS IT WORKS IT WOOOOOORKS (I basically just uninstalled and reinstalled until it worked. Basically the dumbest way to fix this problem but IT WORKS.)
8. Combine data between app and organizer and find pattern Type: Data Entry and Analysis Difficulty: Easy Length: Not too long to enter, may take longer to get the data all consolidated, though. Medium. Subject: Private Steps: Get organizer and app out, combine data, pull up chart, draw conclusions Progress: Completed! Wed. March 29 End Report: Some trend present, but too insignificant. Too small a sample size. Cannot draw conclusive conclusions at this time. Continue using the document to collect more data.
9. Clue character backstory Type: Fic Difficulty: Easy-Medium Length: Fairly short Subject: Character: Rochelle LeMarque. How did she get to know Woo? How did she get an invitation to his party? How did she get such a huge crush on him? All this and more when it's done! Steps: Figure out the order of events, write, proofread, post! Progress: (I generally know how the story will go, just I'm undecided which of two scenes should go first.) I have the first few pages of the first rough draft written. Need to wrap up the first scene.
10. Read borrowed book Type: Reading Difficulty: Medium Subject: Reading Steps: Read the book or at least parts of it before June. Don't need a thorough read-through, just enough to get the idea you need to get from it. Progress: Read the introduction.
11. Send applications Type Adulting Difficulty: Easy-medium Subject: Boring Adult Stuff Steps: 1) Reg. Form
2) House Form 3) Application Forms for various things Progress: - Need to make a phone call to complete one of the forms. For the other, I need to wait. 5/11 - Finished another! Finished Applications: 3/4
12. Read stored books Type: Reading Difficulty: Easy-medium Subject: Reading Notes: There's a few; read at least one. Try the one without a cover that you've been meaning to read for years. Progress: Books read: One May include more before the event starts or as I go! (No, I don't expect to be able to do all of these in 3 months. I'm going to pick and choose as I go.) Priority List (AKA: don't skip these): 5e. Kine map 6. Learn Python 11. Send Applications 11. Read borrowed book
8. Combine and Analyze Data

#1 is the most important. The others can wait awhile but #1 needs finished ASAP. 1. Finish my online class and take testType: School Difficulty: Hard Length: Long Subject: School Steps: Finish each section and the chapters in them Progress: Partway through section 1 and a little of section 2 because I got tired of section 1 2. Create a program to go through a list of pets on Lost and Pound using the adopt link to check if they are in the pound, and make a list of who is not (presumably adopted) and who has changed species and who has changed colorType: Computer Difficulty: I don't know how to do this yet Length: ?? Subject: Lost & Pound Steps: Not sure, but I hope to be able to run it on species and have it stop once the species has been checked. Unsure if I can do this with IFTTT. We already try to check each species each month by hand, but it's a slow go, especially for species like Xweetoks. Progress: None

Oh gosh. Why did so many of you have to suggest organization projects? lol Now you've got me thinking of one too. lol 1. Complete HTML/CSS course from Code Avengers Type: Coding, learning, personal enrichment Tier: Easy Progress: Almost half-way through the lessons, but haven't done any of the quizzes or projects 2. Rearrange bookshelf Type: Organization Tier: Medium to Hard Steps: Possibly buy a new shelf/unit all together. Possibly buy some "storage cubes" to help with aesthetics. Sort through books. Figure out what to do with books I don't need on that shelf anymore. Ask mom if I can use the bookshelf downstairs too. Progress: None, and probably will make the situation worse before I even start on it. 3. Survive the Children's Community Summer Musical at church with most of my remaining brain cells intact Type: Personal/Sanity Tier: Easy to Medium Steps: Attend practices. Help out with other "stuff." Keep 50 kids alive during practices(with help). Remind self that this is for God and not for me. Progress: We are DONE!!Now whether I still have most of my remaining brain cells intact is up for debate. But I'm still calling this one done. 4. Read More for Leisure Type: Reading/self-enrichment Tier: Easy to do, harder to find time (i.e. actually get to bed early...) Steps: Find books. Get to bed on time. Progress: On-going. 5. (Maybe?) Type: Organization Tier: Easy to Medium Steps: Copy and past entries from my online profile to a Word document. H0pefully get Word to cooperate on the paging style I want to use. (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 ... 1.xx; 2.1, 2.2, .... 2.xx; 3.1, 3.2 ... 3.xx by type, so I can add to one section without messing up every other page. Progress: Minimal.

Whooo, I should probably participate in this thingy. Here be Fraze's list. 1a) Dust ALL THE THINGS!Difficulty: Easy Length: Maybe an hour tops. Subject: Actual Spring cleaning Steps: Wipe down all the surfaces with a damp cloth. Make sure to get all the places that don't usually get cleaned (shelves, on top of high-up furniture, on top of the kitchen cabinets). Progress: None 1b) Vacuum and mop ALL THE THINGS!Difficulty: Easy-Medium Length: Probably 3 hours if I really want to do it right. Subject: Actual Spring cleaning Steps: Vacuum first, try to beat the carpets, then mop everything down. Make sure to get all the nooks that don't usually get cleaned (behind/under furniture, under boxes, etc.). Also vacuum the balcony. Progress: None 1c) Clean ALL THE BATHROOMS!Difficulty: Easy-Medium Length: Like an hour but it will feel a lot longer than that. Subject: Actual Spring cleaning Steps: Clean off the medicine cabinet (see Dusting), clean the mirror, clean the counters, clean the sinks, clean under the sinks, scrub out the bath, clean the floor, clean in/around the toilet, clean the drains, wipe down the sauna. Progress: None 2) Year review with Huntress Difficulty: The challenge is mostly intellectual Length: No idea, we go on tangents a lot so it might be several days on and off. Subject: Continued happy life in our living space. Steps: Talk about stuff that's come up in the past year of living in this flat that isn't actively annoying in the short term but may get grating in the long term and should be dealt with. Progress: We're both sort of compiling the things that bug us about this flat. 3) Do fancy things with syllabiDifficulty: Hard, annoying, frustrating, boring, etc. Length: Could probably do it in a couple weeks of concerted work during the Summer break Subject: Work stuff Steps: Go through classes one at a time and see what can be rearranged to make more sense Progress: None 4) Spring cleaning on Neo, or the great SDB purgeDifficulty: Not hard, just really freaking long Length: At least a few months Subject: Neopets Steps: Go through the SDB from back to front and either sell or donate anything that I don't actively want to keep for later Progress: Started at page 69(ish?), currently stuck on page 54, working back to page 1. Notes: I'll have been on Neo for 16 years this May. Some of this stuff has been in my SDB for almost that long. Whyyyyy did I think it would be a good idea to hoard duplicates of Advent Calendar items in case they went up in value? 5) Neo galleryDifficulty: 90% dead easy, 10% nearly impossible Length: Half an hour for most of it, months for the rest Subject: Neopets Steps: Get all the buyable items I want to get for my gallery, then try to get the UBs through auctions, the TP, or NC trading. Progress: I've got maybe twenty or so items, including two of the ones that are nearly impossible to get, so...yay? 6) Revisiting the super secret forum RP/game projectDifficulty: Easymediumhardimpossibleish Length: Medium-purple Subject: NTWF Steps: Revisit the event I want to do that's been lying fallow for a while, see if I can find a way around the problems I foresee with it. Progress: ? out of

This seems like such a helpful and encouraging event! Might I join, too? =3 All you guys and your elaborate, expertly-crafted lists, though. xD Is it okay that I just fling my list out there in a way that I personally find easier to navigate? (If not, I can change it!) Am...am I doing this rightI have a lot of vague names because I know what they mean myself, but I like to surprise others and/or keep secrets. Also, I doubt I'll be able to finish all of these, but some headway would be nice. ^^

Ohh man, this event was made for me and my not-even-kidding nine-year-old to-do list. I don't ditch projects, I keep them on an eternal to-do list to make me feel constantly guilty because surely this is the path to become a healthy and fulfilled individual. In no particular order because ranking them choronologically would probably be depressing: 1. New sketchbook cover
Type: art Tier: medium-ish, mostly time-consuming Subject: make a new cover for my next sketchbook onnacounta the old one finally being full. Steps: draw, scan, color, print, blah-blah. Progress: all done.
1b. New sketchbook
Type: uh, general organizing? Tier: conditional to finishing the cover and getting out of the house. So medium-difficult xD Subject: actually making the abovesaid new sketchbook once the cover is done. Steps: laminate the cover, get a back cover, get the whole thing bound together, more blah-blah. Progress: done.
2. Wedding album Type: arts and crafts Tier: easy Subject: finish the wedding album that's sat half-finished for what, over a year now? Steps: get new adhesive tape for the photos, which means getting out of the house and into the city. Ahahaha yes. Or I could order it online like reasonable people. The rest is pretty straightforward "glue, write captions, draw stuff on pages". Progress: greenlit after gluetape was acquired (lol puns)
2b. Wedding thread
Type: crafts, sorta Tier: easy Subject: print the NTWF wedding thread. This became its own project after I realized that there's no way the printed thread can fit in the album itself. Steps: get the formatted file sorted into something printable, then print. Progress: all done.
3. Sweater
Type: knitting Tier: easy Subject: finish the sweater I started knitting for Fraze I thiiink two years ago now? Steps: knit purl knit purl knit purl *brick'd* Progress: all done.
4. Blarfbag Type: sewing Tier: easy-to-medium depending on how fiddly it turns out to be in reality Subject: finish the blarf-shaped beanbag I started... tell you what, I won't say how long ago >_____> Steps: locate the requisite fabric and stuffing, make the spikes and claws. Only problem is, it's currently at my parents' house and I might not get there in near future. Progress: ...no really, it's only missing spikes and claws.
5. Diary Type: writing Tier: ridiculously time-consuming. Difficult if I try to keep it legible. Subject: finish filling up my travel diary. Steps: dig up the electronic accounts and photos to refresh my memory, write stuff down while pretending that it's not five years too late. Relive the glory days while I'm at it. Progress: it's currently stopped at San Diego, California in February 2012 when we had the roadtrip. We've since gone on two more trips to the States, two to Latvia and one to Denmark. Maybe I should just set the thing on fire instead.
6. Sketches Type: art Tier: technically easy, mentally urgh blaaaah Subject: finishing all various unfinished sketches in my current sketchbook that I didn't finish at the time due to running into motivation issues or artist's block or life at large. The bulk of it is Town-related stuff. Steps: go through the sketchbook and see what can be salvaged into existence. Pretend the rest never happened. Progress: half-finished by nature
7. Character sketches Type: more art Tier: medium-easy, but to be determined while drawing as it usually happens Subject: D&D character sketches for Thorn, because I do keep my promises thank you. Eventually. Steps: pore over the character descriptions, draw something that doesn't take too many artistic liberties. Progress: none, but I'm guilty about it xD
8. Sauna comic Type: art Tier: time-consuming Subject: Shad and Saura comic series about going to a sauna. Also probably like three years old. Steps: since I can never figure out the most efficient way to draw a comic series, there's no point in fleshing out steps, I'd ignore them anyway. There can only be the Incomplete -> Complete binary. Progress: one comic is inked, scanned and partly colored, two fully sketched. There were going to be six total but it can turn out longer if I come up with more punchlines while I work, which frequently happens.
9. Mugs Type: arts and crafts Tier: predicted medium, might end up harder Subject: draw Shad and Saura mugs. Steps: draw, figure out a way to make the completed mugs dishwasher-proof, probably end up washing them by hand for the rest of our lives because I'm a shmuck like that. Progress: I have a concept sketch somewhere and got the necessary supplies for it. Mostly still in enthusiastic-idea-stages, though.
10. Town comic Type: art Tier: time-consuming, as usual Subject: a comic series about the executioner of Melville, aka a stupid little idea born of the fact that the Town roleplay never once mentioned an executioner as far as I recall despite the entire cast getting killed off in various ways. Steps: welp, I need a new sketchbook first. Progress: none
11. Town comic vol 2 Type: more art Tier: complicated Subject: a full-color comic (series?) about Theo and Ene Steps: again with needing the new sketchbook. Then go over the idea again, see if I actually want to do something with it since it was never a very clear idea to begin with, see if my composition and drawing skillz match the ambitious idea in my head, maybe-possibly draw or scrap entirely. Progress: none
12. Painting
Type: arrr- okay, I can't call it art, that's an insult to artistry xD It's technically a puzzle. Tier: easy, just time-consuming Subject: finish the paint-by-numbers painting I'm making for my parents. Steps: keep working as usual Progress: all done!
13. NT comics
Type: arrrrt Tier: medium, but in a well-worn groove Subject: Shad and Saura comics, because I ain't dead yet Steps: go through my S&S comic folder, locate all half-finished comics, finish at least one new S&S and get back into the swing of things. Progress: always in progress, that's kinda my problem. Finished one comic and sent it off, so I'm using this as a reason to strike this off the list.
14. Petpages Type: fiddly computery things Tier: blaaah Subject: revamp all of my pets' petpages, because it's been overdue long enough. Steps: go through them one by one, facepalm at all the old stuff, make new stuff. Progress: none
15. Baby book Type: arts and crafts Tier: medium Subject: fill in the book we got to record the progress of the baby through, well, babyhood. He turned nine months old yesterday so it's a wee bit overdue. Steps: dig through photos and videos, desperately try to remember things relevant to each month and write it down under each month before it's forgotten 4ever. Then do pretty stuff with photos and drawings and scrapbooking and whatnot to make it appropriately saccharine. Progress: well, we have an empty book. ...yeah, with my list twice as long as everyone else's and containing three comic series, one major art project and other comic-related things, is it any wonder I can't ever get anything done? Can't help but feel that I've left some stuff out, but if I make it even longer, I'm going to need a secretary. EDIT: decided to highlight ongoing projects in green. Easier to keep track of this way. Finished projects are in dark grey so that they're less visible but still there in their motivating struck-off glory.

hey, now I can cross off "make list" from my list, yay!
SUMMER CLEANING UPDATE!! Clean Room -Type: Physical/Organization -Difficulty: Hard -Length: Kinda Long -Description: I started to clean my room, but never got past the "pull everything out and reorganize it" stage. So, now with stuff being all over the floor for about a month now, it'd probably be good to find someplace better for it all. -Progress: Nothing yet, still a mess
Movie Catchup -Type: Movie Watching -Difficulty: Easy -Length: Ongoing -Description: There are a number of movies that I've been meaning to see, but have never gotten around to, so now should be as good a time as ever to get started on that. Seeing as the list of "want to see's" is rather long, I'm limiting myself to just the animated stuff right now, mostly Disney, to have a clearer goal. Some movies have already been checked off, but there's still plenty. -Progress: (have yet to see) Snow White Peter Pan Aristocats Jungle Book Little Mermaid Aladdin Pocahontas Hercules
(finally saw) Pinocchio Cinderella Sleeping Beauty
Wrighton Posts -Type: Writing -Difficulty: Medium -Length: However long the GM's wish x) -Description: Just a reminder to myself to stay on top of posting and participating in the Wrighton RP! Since I'm at work most days, it's easy for me to fall behind, but I don't want to get too behind else I may never catch up xP
Blossoms Script -Type: Writing -Difficulty: Medium -Length: Short-term -Description: Taking this slow and just aiming to wrap up the next series' script. -Probably about halfway through. Some parts are mostly written out, others partially or just mapped out without dialogue.
Greenless Rainbow -Type: Art/Writing -Difficulty: Not too bad... for now -Length: Ongoing -Description: Keep playing around with and pitching ideas for original comic in order to find a foothold with its plot and characters. -Progress: Main characters developing well, too bad I have basically no plot for this thing
Calendar -Type: Art -Difficulty: Hard -Length: Long -Description: I'm designing a personal calendar featuring a character of mine for each month; hopefully I can get it done for next year! -Progress: July and September are finished. October, November, May, and March are currently in progress.
Art Check List -Wrighton stuff -

Let me preface this by explaining I won't get every single thing done on this list, nor would I expect to. I have a lot of ideas for projects at any given time, but only so much time. But I'd rather just list out all my ideas, instead of guessing which ones I'd actually be able to accomplish in three months. I also consider it much more important to take the time to do these things right than to rush so I can cross them off a checklist. That said, here's my list: Top PriorityInk 3: Very important, but will probably take more than three months anyway. Current Progress: Done: Parts 1 and 2 Inked: Part 3 Penciled: Parts 4 and 5 Writing: Part 6 Planning: Parts 7+ College: This likes to take up all my free time, so if you wonder why I don't make much progress on other things, this is why. The semester ends in May, so this will be completed before the end of this challenge. Classes: Javascript: Online class, pretty tedious, but it has to be done. WordPress: Independent Study, meet with professor once a week, need a complete website by MayInternship: I work three days a week as an User Experience (UX) internship at a software company. Another time eater, but it's fun. After Graduation: I graduate with a Certificate in Web Design this May. Need to figure out what happens next. Might decide to take a few more classes for another degree, but likely will be applying for jobs. Still Kind of importantArt: Do something art related once a day (A goal I've been practicing for about a year now). Subgoals: Landscapes: I would really like to get better at landscapes, so try and practice these when you can. Characters: Come up with more characters so you have a whole library to choose from when the time comes.Comics: Ink 3 is top priority to finish, but these are also okay to start planning for. Find a good place(s) to post comics Plan non-neopets series Crime Show mini-series Random Thoughts comics Trivial StuffBuild a hammock for my pet rats, kind of like this: www.amazon.com/Kaytee-Simple-Sleeper-Cozy-Hammock/dp/B0002ASAY6/Finish organizing bookshelves- Wash Dishes (I tend to let them pile up too much)
Go camping (This depends a lot on things outside of my control, but hopefully it will happen)- Add to list of Random Comic Ideas
- Put up that giant tree wall sticker
