I started writing my short story the other day! It's a more serious note than some of my other shorts, I guess that's what happens when you build a story around nightmares XD

I'll try to participate but I'm not sure. To be honest, I'm having a really bad time lately brainstorming for ideas. I'll let you know if anything changes. (Also, thanks for the neomail, Rabbit ♠ !) If you'd like we can brainstorm together. I see you like drawing comics. Actually I sent Huntress an idea when she asked for comic ideas though she told me she already had one. Being I gave her the idea you'll have to ask her if you can use it, but being she already has an idea I don't see why not.

Alright, the boards are attracting attention, but does anybody have some tips to spread the word some more?

I'm thinking of participating in this, but it's not quite in stone yet. :'D I've gotta brainstorm before I get anything.

Finally thought of something ^-^ Gonna do a comic. Will do a quick sketch first, then see if I can find an actual artist to collaborate with =) Otherwise my own scribbles will have to do XD
Someone remind me about submission times? When would it be best to have finished? Around June 10th?

You can put me down for tentative. I have a comic series in the works, and the first part is relevant to dreams, but I don't know if it'll be done in time.

Wolf- June 10th sounds about right, yeah. As long as CQ has a good 2 weeks to give it a look, I think that's just fine.

Is anyone still in the brainstorming stage?
(Haha, we're still in May, right? I still have about one month to write, it should be fine - wait, is it already this late in May? ruh roh.)
So I was considering: * working with all three of the founding Faeries of Altador, or * focusing on the Sleeper, to make good use of her title;
but now I'm more inclined to go for * OC Faeries. More specifically, two of them locked in a permanent battle in their dream-world. Now, I need a third party protagonist to stumble in and mess up their equilibrium. I just need to decide whether they would be a random Neopet or a younger, less experienced Faerie. I saw them as a Faerie at first; but if a story contains only Faeries and no reference to pets or other parts of Neopia, wouldn't that make it sort of irrelevant?

I saw them as a Faerie at first; but if a story contains only Faeries and no reference to pets or other parts of Neopia, wouldn't that make it sort of irrelevant? Hmm, well why not keep it ambiguous? Like they "wake up" in the dream world to find themselves transformed into a Petpet and each time they think to their true identity you can have it either them getting interrupted (thus the main character knows their identity but not the reader) or have amnesia and can't remember much about their life (thus not needing to interrupt his moments of trying ti remember). You can then decide whether to reveal it at then end or keep it ambiguous. Though if you want a Neopet in the story, why not have one of the two dream beings being a Neopet (or at least taken the form of one)? Or have them both just being shapeshifting entities, transforming into a Faerie, Neopet, Petpet, etc. which fit their needs at the moment. BTW the story will still be relevant, Faeries are as part as Neopets as the Neopets themselves. Speaking of the entities, would there be a clear good & evil or will both be neutral forces with their own goals & interests?

I'll pop back on the board later, but... yeah. I'm still very much in brainstorming stage. ^^;; Have had little time to think about much besides the whole graduation thing... but I should have time later. @_@
I'll update the list later. Thanks, Rabbit!
