The Scrac that Smiles Back "Aye, ye all get food." Bones grinned. "O' course, I got some drinks fer myself." "Yeah. Check this out!" Sirocco spun his dagger around and threw it into the air. The sand glowed, and the dagger stopped in mid-air, frozen in place. "I can freeze things in time, too. Oh, and I can slow people down, speed myself up, speed my friends up... It's awesome."
Over in the corner, an armored Yellow Krawk stood, covered in a cloak. He had a scowl on his face and carried a large axe on his back.
Next to him was an armored Red Eyrie wearing a cloak and carrying a menacing-looking spear. He smirked as he stretched his wings. "They don't even know we're here." He chuckled to himself. "We should strike now." "Idiot." The Krawk growled. "There's too many people here - even with all the soldiers we've brought with us in here, they'd easily escape in the confusion." The Eyrie frowned. "You always have to spoil the fun, Nero." Nero turned to the Eyrie and grabbed him by the front of his cloak. "Argus, do you WANT to anger Claudus?" Argus pushed the Krawk away. "No, but I want to keep those fools from interfering. Claudus will give me a huge reward if I do." Tybalt growled. "We're on a scouting mission. When we get the chance, we're going to signal the troops to jump them." Argus smirked. "Do I get to 'interrogate' them when we're done?" Tybalt nodded. "Only if you keep your beak shut."
Ashlynne looked up and narrowed her eyes. "We're being watched. I feel like we've been followed here." She reached for her grimoire. The rest of the group nodded - Miraja reached for her twin tessen, Hunter prepared to draw his sword, Sirocco drew his dagger, and Bones hefted his hammer over his shoulders. They all stood around the table, facing outwards in a defensive position.
Hunter looked back. "If any of you could help us, we'd really appreciate it." Jor sipped her grog. "I guess food is a good cause to fight for." Jakqas frowned. "I have basic training, but nothing extensive... Perhaps we could call on one of the mercenary groups around town? I recommend Uber Heroes, they are friendly and run on donations. You'll just have to listen to them drone on about how anarchy is the best possible form of government. Pauda is new and still in training, and Jacob Bones is terrible when his opponent is awake." Jacob shrugged. "Not terrible. Maybe not quite as good." Jor stood up, joining Hunter's group. "Who do you think is after you?"

Hunter stared at Jor. "Isn't it obvi-AGH!" A soldier wearing a Meridell soldier's uniform struck Hunter with a lance, knocking him down - two more tackled him, trying to keep him from getting up. Hunter gets back up and spins around with his sword, driving them away from himself. Amidst the fight, most of the cantina's employees hide in the back room and the customers flee the premises. "I really hate fighting my own people..." Another soldier tried to strike him with his sword, but Hunter parried with Curtana and bashed the soldier with his shield, knocking him out.
"How many of these creeps are there, anyway?" Miraja swung one of her tessen in an arc, generating a dark cloud that crackled with electricity. Her other tessen glowed and wind began swirling around it. She then sent a blast of lightning at some of Claudus's soldiers, shocking them, and her other tessen sent her foes flying with a powerful blast of wind.
Four Meridellian Imperial soldiers tried to jump Bones, but he threw them off of him and sent them flying into the wall.
"This is gonna be fun." Sirocco smirked before spinning Time's Edge in his hand - he became a blur that ran past some of the minions, knocking them to the floor with speedy strikes.
Ashlynne opened her book and began chanting - she held out her hand and aimed it at some of the villains, and a magic circle covered in runes formed in front of her hand before a blue burst of flame shaped like a dragon's head spewed forth and sent the evil minions running for cover.
Some soldiers attacked Jakqas, Jor, Jacob Bones and Pauda...
(I decided that Miraja's tessen have weather control abilities instead of fire - however, she doesn't have any snow or ice-based abilities, just water, lightning and wind.)

Jor was surprised she hadn't noticed the Meridell soldiers before now. She would have never entered the establishment if she had. She attacked them, her hands appearing to hold nothing but leaving deep wounds behind on her victims. Pauda, Jakqas, and Jacob Bones bunched together, each drawing a gun. Jacob's fired very quietly at targets that came too close while Pauda's blaster hummed when she used it. Jakqas's weapon also had a silencer on it.((M'kay))

Hunter glanced back at Jak, Jacob and Pauda. "What kind of weapons are those? I've never seen anything like them!" He blocked an arrow with his shield and then whirled around to knock out a foe with his blunt sword.
Miraja shot Hunter a look. "Less talking, more fighting!" She then leapt into the air and clapped her tessen together, generating a powerful blast of wind that sent a few knights that were attacking Hunter hurtling into the air.
Sirocco reappeared in normal time and slashed at an opponent from behind them - while this caused no wounds, it had the unusual effect of harmlessly freezing them in time. "Time's up." Sirocco smirked.
Ashlynne then casted another spell - this time she cast it on Salazar, causing him to grow into a monstrous-looking giant Quetzal, who proceeded to slither around the cantina and grab soldiers in his mouth before tossing them aside. He then slithered back to Ashlynne so he could watch her back as she cast an ice spell. After freezing her foes, Ashlynne patted Salazar on his head. "Good boy." She smiled, and Salazar hissed contentedly.
"All right, old man. Surrender and we won't beat you and your stupid friends into a pulp!" A knight taunted Bones.
Bones scowled "Nobody. Calls. Me. OLD!" Completely enraged, he swung his hammer left and right, sending his enemies crashing into the wall. He hit them so hard that they left Neopian-sized holes in the wall! "DOES ANYONE ELSE WANT TO CALL ME OLD?!"
The knights who had attacked Jor and her friends ran away, although other knights remained in the fight. One of them managed to get the drop on Jakqas and tried to knock his gun out of his hand.

As the gun fell Jakqas' normally deadpan expression became one of mild surprise."Pauda-"
