Wow, this was close to getting on the second page. Sheesh, I haven't posted here since 2016. I need to put something up. I know! A WIP! Just a basic outline with the wings so far, but so far, it's turning out pretty decent. Of course, I need to adjust the wing sizes, because no matter what I do, one will always come out bigger than the other. I'm looking at you, green wings! I literally gave up with the blue set and just copied one of them. I know it looks like she's crying, that's now what I'm going for. Also my fingers are improving. I mean, they look pretty good here. They're not perfect, but oh well. I only gave Bobert four fingers in this pic because I couldn't fit five in her left hand and I wanted to stay consistent. And that's basically what I've been up to all morning.

Hey lookie, I finished. I wanted to work with darker colors, so this came to be. Gotta say, shading over darker colors is a lot easier. XD I tend not to use a lot of dark colors because I worry that things will look too similar. I think I struck a nice balance. But you guys know I love bright colors. So of course, they were added in. Back in time, I was applying for a UC Faerie Wocky. I put some art of hers on this art thread. Yeah, I just loved the color scheme and wings, so I gave them to Bobert here. In this, I decided to try out a new technique for hair texture. I tried a new pen and added more shadows in the hair. I think it looks pretty decent - messy, but I was going for messy. Also worth noting that I actually can draw hands decently on a regular basis. That is a win in my book. Granted, there are only four fingers, but I couldn't fit five in one hand and I wanted to keep the other hand consistent. :x So yeah, I think I did pretty well.

Look awesome, Rabbit! The bright colors pop so much against the darker ones, the combination looks very cool!

Oh June Scarlet ... RON IS JUST FUN TO DRAW. I think this is the fourth time I drew a pic involving Ron... Okay, just so you know, this took all of an hour. Maybe an hour and a half. Not really that long, at least when compared to how long some of my other drawings take. Still, I think it turned out really nice. I wanted to go for a comic book vibe, so I did cell shading. And the pose is pretty decent. I tried to make a whoosh thing with the arm. You know like in comic books they have that whoosh thing with fast movements? Might have failed at that, but I tried. I think I did a decent job at showing some sort of movement. Aaand I wanted to have Ron fade at the feet. I forgot that. Ooof course. But hey, I think it looks nice.

That's nice use of motion in that, Rabbit. The motion lines are nice, but so are the flowing tail and ears. I think it's neat, and it's also kind of fun to compare it to your older fan art, and see how you've improved.

X3)Seriously, thank you. I'm glad you like it.

You know, I should really try to upload here more often. So here is another WIP. (Do not mind the background, that is a work in progress. Not even sure if I'm going to be keeping that stuff.) I strayed a bit from my usual art style. The head is smaller when compared to entire body. I did a new thing with the shine in the eyes. I added more detail into the eyes. The arms are a bit longer-ish, I usually make them shorter. The legs, not so much. So yeah. I got done shading and highlights, so up next is textures. I apparently missed that step and went for the background. I dunno why, it just happened. I think I'm doing well so far, so there's that. Of course, it still needs a ton of work.

Oh look. I'm done. I could say this took so long to finish because I started classes or I put a lot of thought into what I'm doing. Nope, I just had no idea what to do for the background. So I came up with this. I still kept the fairy ring, which was what gave me this idea in the first place. This is when I realized I should have drawn the mushrooms before hand. I did want to add more lighting effects, but I think this is nice the way it is. As I started working on the effects, I realized I didn't want to make something with heavy lighting, so I think this more muted picture is a nice thing to end up with. That's partly why I added the fog, other than to make the image feel a little less empty. Also, found the tool that lets me do the swirly thing in the background. I'm happy about that.

So, uh, I made a thing. Shiny Vulpix! Yeah, when I went without internet for a week, I went shiny hunting. One of the shinies I got was a shiny Vulpix that I named Sunspot. I created this sort of character while I was hunting her, which is weird, I never did that before. Basically, she's this Vulpix who deals with magic and hexes and stuff. I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out. I usually stick to anthro drawing, so the pose is kind of off with the feet, but I'm happy about this. I literally did this today, in one day, so I think with that amount of time, it came out pretty well. More importantly, I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO THE HAIR TEXTURE MUCH FASTER NOW. And it turned out pretty well. :'D Aaand I just realized I forgot highlights. Eh, I think it works without them. ^^ One person already added it to their favorites on DeviantArt, so that's nice (I'm cherrybranch, if you wanna check it out - there really isn't much there, though.)

It's becoming a habit to upload WIPs, hasn't it? So yeah, here it is. I made a witch with a three-eyed cat. I need names for these two... I'm thinking Apin for the witch, but I don't know yet... Anyway, I think I have decent proportions for this one. Things are still off, yes, but I'm getting there. And besides, IT'S A HOOMAN. AN ACTUAL HOOMAN. Technically a witch BUT STILL HOOMAN. I literaly copied one foot and used it as the other. That was hard.

I finished it.~ This took forever. I mainly got distracted, but I also focused more on proportions and where shading should go. I think I did the legs and arms pretty decent. At least I hope. I gotta say, I like my new way of adding highlights to eyes. Anyway, this is Apin and Glyph, a witch and three-eyed cat respectively. Apin is bubbly, talkative, a bit of an airhead, stuff like that. Glyph is a talking familiar that is pretty smart and more level headed. All that fun stuff. Anyway, yeah, that's kind of it.

Look, another WIP I'm actually really happy with this so far. All colors here are shades of blue. Do I plan to keep it that way? Well for Kawalaii, yes, but I'm not sure about the background. I have so much to do until then, though there's shading, highlights, wings and hair, there's going to be glowing, oh, I'll be busy. Anyway, I morphed Kawalaii into a wraith Korbat. The island Xweetok look wasn't doing it for me anymore, I've always wanted a wraith Neopet, and I love Korbats. It was bound to happen. Anyway, I'm working on a story with her. Let's just say she won't seem as cute... >:3 EDIT: Here's what I did in about an hour. I did the glowing thing (I FORGOT TO PUT IT OVER A DARK BACKGROUND) and hair. I got distracted some... ^^ The cyan glowing came out just how I wanted it, so I'm extremely happy.

Finished it. ^^ Everything is blue. Gotta say, I'm happy with this. I think I did the whole monochrome thing work pretty decently. And I think the glowing looks nice.

Look, a piece of art without the WIP. As you can probably figure out, this is for the Royalty and Leaders BC theme week, which is this Friday, and I am so excited. I went with the Queen of Spades, since I adore the suits of cards and spades is my favorite. Let me tell you, it took me forever to get myself to do this.

Look, more art. Drew the sketch in class, digitized it, and this came to be. I'm really happy with this. I got the pose I wanted, that's a first. I'm getting better at doing textures. My shading and highlighting are getting better.
