I'm bored, I like sharing art, so why not? First, I shall show my art gallery entry that I got in. Now for this failed Art Gallery entry for the Neopets Birthday Issue (I like to call it, "Wait, I wasn't supposed to jump out of the cake?") And finally, a comic that didn't get into the Neopian Times.Janet and Jane: Pests

Hey, glad to see you've joined forces with us, Rabbit! Hmm, that's a very glowy pest in the JJ comic I've actually been wondering something for a bit now, and I suppose this is the most appropriate place to ask about it, but what program do you use when you digitally color your comics?

I use GIMP. Why do you ask, Twillie? (I know I need to work on coloring digitally. D:)

Just to get an idea of the tools you have available to see if I can give a quick coloring tip. Komori explains this on Echoplasm's petpage with pictures and everything (it's a guide for photoshop, but it looks like it applies closely to GIMP as well), but I also wanted to give a (hopefully) simple explanation to how you can get rid of that white space between the colors and the lines: 1) Open the original picture on GIMP 2) Go to Colors>Levels 3) Slide the white arrow to the left to get rid of the extra grain and smudging, and slide the black arrow if you'd like your lines to be darker 4) Copy the entire image and paste it onto a new layer above the original (I don't know if GIMP has a "new layer via copy" option, so you may just need to manually make a new layer and paste) 5) For the top layer, go to Mode in the layers tab and change it to "multiply" 6) Make the bottom layer completely white (delete anything on it) Once this is done, the bottom layer can be completely dedicated to color and the top to the lines. That means that no matter where you color on the bottom layer, no line work will be erased. It's the same thing I do for any digital picture, and it makes filling in the lines easier

I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS, I SWEAR! I just haven't drawn anything I think should be shared here. Until now. Okay, so once upon a time (last night, actually), I was at the JCW like I usually am and I was messing with my characters as I usually am. Somehow the JanetxKell shipping came to be (with the fitting name of Kanet). No, us Just a Couple Writers are perfectly sane. Anyway, Moni gave me the idea for this, so I have her to blame thank. I'm still deciding whether or not I like this. I think I did okay, but...

I do more than just Neopets stuff, I swear. To prove it, here is this doodle of me that I did after my statistics quiz. See? I think it looks cute.

So I'm trying out a new style. Minor changes, but hey, I like the new way. (I feel like I'll use these two whenever I try something out.) In case you can't see the differences... -the faces don't look so pudgy -the feet look more like feet -HANDS HAVE FINGERS (still got to work on that...) -clothing and hair not pasted on, they are more like normal clothes and hair -less white-ish pixels (I AM DOING MY BEST TO GET RID OF THEM, KAY??) I tried to make Janet blush. It kinda looks like she got hit in the face. (Then again, knowing these two, that isn't much of a stretch...) I'm sorry, it's hard to get a good blush for her! D:

Practically three Kanet pictures in a row? What have we done to you, Rabbit?? But that's cool that you have distinct goals of improvement for your art; definitely a good, efficient way of progressing. And get, fingers! Welcome to the dark side, Rabbit, (there is no return) ;3

Okay, so I am doing illustrations for my next series and I promised that I would post the least spoiler-y here. So here it is. Play the, "What part of the drawing did Rabbit do on the computer?" game! Seriously, I think I did okay. It's a handshake, if you can't tell (my brother said it looked like two people holding hands and it makes me nervous). I edited on the computer the parts that were fail-y and it turned out well, in my opinion. So as of now, I have two illustrations done. I have two scanned and ready to be edited, one that is being traced in ink, two are ready to be traced, and one I still have to sketch. I think I'll be having fun. :3

Would these photos count? I mean, they technically are art. They don't give away my location. Plus, they've been edited. Eh, still putting it here. Worse comes to worse, I take them down. Anyway, I have this photography class and we've been working with Photoshop for a while. I'd say I'm pretty good at editing photos. I figured I'd show you what I have created. Working in Photoshop actually helps me out in GIMP quite a bit. Like masking layers, I work with them now.

I have other fandoms. To prove it, here's an Undertale OC. Basically I was working on a presentation for school, found the font "Chewy" and got ideas.

I made art for others! I wanted to give art back to those that gave me art, but then I got ideas for more of my friends. I think they turned out pretty well. Tell me what you guys think. I hope you like them. doctortomoe Here is Slenderdraik! He looks nice, right? I hope he does. I tried, but I'm still working on Draiks. Moni And here is Theodaxx and Natia! I hope you don't mind that I made him alien, but I think it works. Tara Raquil! I imagined her as this Moltaran dweller (hence the cave-y background and the lava). She kinda looks like one. Zoey Jotis and Kaune! You have two desert Neopets, I drew them, simple as that. Twillie Zathandria and Cherry! Now I drew Zathandria before, but this is my first time drawing a Pteri in forever, but I think Cherry looks cute. Such a pretty bird. June Scarlet It's Ink and Matt! I'm sorry Matt kinda looks like a girl, I tried! D: Still, I think it turned out pretty good. :3 Okay, I hope you guys like your art. Put them on a page, on a lookup, do what you want, just give me credit.
