Artemis nodded and coughed, then took some moments to spit out some grass.Ash: ........well you got some distance. Ash helped him to his feet, and then to dust off. So....how'd I mess that one up? Should I start from a roof? Ash: I think you should learn how to land first, for your sake. Chiller: I think you should wait to take big flaps once you're high enough in the air to not hit the ground? Mmhh.....but how do I get high enough?

Mmhh.....but how do I get high enough? Chiller: Small, quick flaps? He spread his wings once again and tried doing so, but other than kicking up a lot of dust it didn't accomplish anything else. His feathers seemed heavy, lagging behind his movements from their length, and his flaps only reached a moderate speed.
Ash shielded himself until Artemis stopped and the dust began to settle.
Ash: .....well you're not a hummingbird.

Mmhh.....but how do I get high enough? Chiller: Small, quick flaps? Yeah, try flapping faster before taking off. That might help.

Yeah, try flapping faster before taking off. That might help. Chiller: Do what you did before, but shorter flaps? Try gliding to me. Okay. I think...I can glide if I...hold still? Mhh. Ash backed up as Artemis took position again.
He started up a pace, giving some tentative hops and flaps. Managing to get a couple of feet of air this time, he tried some smaller adjustments and twitches to his wings to maintain it.
Artemis realized his trajectory a bit too late though, unable to stop as he barreled into Chiller.

At least you're getting a little better? He quickly rolled off, offering his hands to help her back up as well. Darn...i'm sorry! Ash: Well I wasn't wrong about his landing.

....I don't get how. Am I supposed to use my feet? Or my wings? Chiller: Maybe both? Artemis looked over to Nick.Ash: From what I've seen, I think you have to angle yourself back. Isn't that what birds do? Slow themself down first?

Ash: Maybe I should look up some research on that. Or books.....birds have this figured out, we should emulate what they do. Yes?
